Jin Yi took her hand. "If my Mother says anything unpleasant, don’t take it to heart. We’ll be leaving once the warm season arrives anyway."

Hearing this, Bai Wanwan pretty much understood that his Mother was likely a difficult female to get along with.

She nodded. "Mm, I understand."

After speaking with Jin Yi, she walked into the next room.

She first walked along the wall to the inner part of the room, where she saw several little snake cubs coiled up like mosquito coils, sleeping soundly.

She couldn’t resist leaning down and giving each of them a little kiss.

Who would have thought that the moment her lips touched them, the cubs would stir and begin to wake up one by one.

"Mama..."

The little female cub saw her as soon as she opened her eyes. Still groggy, she slithered over, climbed up her arm, and snuggled into the crook of her neck, gently nuzzling her with her little head.

"Sweetheart, you just woke up. Are you hungry?"

"Hungry! Mama, I’m so hungry."

The two male cubs also sprang up and wrapped themselves around their Mother.

Bai Wanwan didn’t have time to go out and find fresh meat, so she took out some strips of jerky from her dimensional space and gave them to the snake cubs.

Once they got the food, the snake cubs immediately and obediently held the meat strips and began to devour them.
