Yan Lie whined, "It’s because I have so many injuries. If you kiss me, Wanwan, then I won’t be in so much pain."

As he spoke, he started whimpering again, "Ow... ow..."

Yan Chi couldn’t bear to watch. He cleared his throat and said to Bai Wanwan, "Wanwan, I’m going to head back and check on the beastmen of my clan. I’ll come back later this evening."

"Yan Chi, you don’t need to come back today," Bai Wanwan said softly, her fingers unconsciously straightening Yan Lie’s messy hair.

"Xin Feng and Yan Lie have recovered quite a bit. I can manage on my own."

"That won’t do. How can one female take care of three males? I’ll come over later."

After saying this, he saw that Yan Lie’s state was getting worse and that he truly did need a female’s comfort.

He said no more, turning and striding out of the stone house.

Once Yan Chi’s footsteps had faded into the distance, Yan Lie dropped all pretense. He pulled Bai Wanwan’s hand, placed it on his abdomen, and said in a cloying tone, "Wanwan, I’m so itchy. Can you scratch it for me? Or maybe blow on it?"

Bai Wanwan didn’t think much of it, only wanting to help ease his discomfort.

She reached out and helped him remove the beast skin, which was saturated with the smell of medicine, tossing it aside.

It revealed his lean, powerful body, which was covered in wounds.

Her slender fingers gently brushed over the wounds that had been repeatedly scratched open. She leaned in, blowing gently on each one in turn.

As her warm breath puffed across the sensitive areas, she didn’t notice her Beast Husband’s gaze growing darker.

Suddenly, the world spun.

Bai Wanwan cried out in surprise as she was lifted into the air, then laid flat on the sofa.

She was locked in Yan Lie’s embrace.

She had just opened her mouth to speak when Yan Lie’s scorching lips crushed against hers.

The kiss was urgent, deep, and desperate.

he asked, panting.

"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" She finally struggled free, pushing him away breathlessly. "Your injuries haven’t fully healed! What do you think you’re doing?"

Yan Lie leaned down to hug her again, refusing to let go. His long tail coiled tightly around her waist.

"Wanwan, I’m in agony," his voice was impossibly hoarse. "Let me kiss you. Just a few kisses and I won’t be in so much pain."

Seeing his moist, pleading eyes, Bai Wanwan’s heart softened, and she allowed him to draw near.

But of course, he took that inch and tried to take a mile, his kisses trailing from her lips to her neck, and then down to her collarbone.

Bai Wanwan felt as though she’d been caught in a rainstorm, completely covered in a damp slick.

In the end, however, his injuries got the better of him.

Yan Lie pounded the sofa in frustration, letting out a low, agonized growl.

Bai Wanwan said snappishly, "Oh, don’t stop on my account. Keep going!"

Yan Lie sniffled. "Just wait until I’m healed. I swear I’ll finish everything we couldn’t."

Resentful and frustrated, he started cursing out the Clan Leader of the Bear Clan, and even their deceased Young Clan Leader.

He felt that they were the ones who had ruined his happiness.

Bai Wanwan couldn’t help but laugh. She leaned over and planted a soft kiss on his cheek. "Alright, alright. Just endure one more day, and it won’t be so difficult. Once you’re recovered, how about I not only grant your wish, but also go with you to settle the score with the Bear Clan?"

"Really?" Yan Lie’s eyes lit up.

But just as quickly, the fire in his eyes went out.

"Better not. Our family has too few males. We can’t go up against a large tribe."

’Revenge isn’t important. There will be other chances in the future.’

As evening fell, a sound came from the stone bed nearby.

Bai Wanwan had noticed that as well; distracting Yan Lie really did seem to help him feel much better.

"Alright. I’m going to check on Xin Feng. I’ll be back to stay with you in a moment."

Yan Lie reluctantly released his grip. His arms felt empty as his beloved female stood up and walked to the other side of the room.

The cubs had also woken up by now. They were bouncing around the room, even trying to pester their Father Beasts.

But since both Father Beasts ignored them, they turned on each other, tumbling about in a flurry of playful nips and wrestling.

Walking to the edge of the stone bed, she saw that Xin Feng had indeed opened his eyes.

"How are you feeling?"

She sat down on the edge of the bed, took his hand, and asked in a gentle voice.

"Mm, I feel like I’ve recovered a lot after sleeping. Don’t worry. In a day at most, it won’t be a big deal anymore."

"You were so seriously injured, how could one more day be enough? All of you need to stay in bed and recuperate for a while."

Just as she said that, someone’s stomach in the room let out an especially loud "GRRRROWL."

For the next three days, Bai Wanwan stayed home, taking care of her Beast Husbands and the cubs.

Xin Feng’s complexion improved day by day, and the effects of the itching powder on Yan Lie finally subsided.

It had already been three days since she last saw Jin Yi. She knew a beastman would be taking care of him, but since she wasn’t the one personally looking after him, she still felt uneasy.
