Delicate Villainess, Desperate Males – A Beast World Reverse Harem
Chapter 215: Charge Out
Chapter 215: Chapter 215: Charge Out
The night was black as ink, and the tribe’s torches flickered in the wind.
"Move!" Xin Feng roared at the Beastman blocking his path.
"No. You need to go back right now."
Xin Feng’s patience had worn thin. He raised a forepaw and swiped, leaving a sharp arc of light in his wake.
The Golden Lion Guard was caught off guard, sent staggering back by the blow. The blood roiled in his chest.
Seizing the opening, Xin Feng shot toward the tribe’s main gate like a bolt of silver lightning.
"Stop him! Close the gate!" the guard yelled at his retreating back.
Xin Feng spun around. His bone-white fangs glinted coldly in the dark as a low warning rumbled in his throat.
’Wanwan is still out there! Even with Yan Lie by her side, she won’t survive if they run into the beast tide!’
Several guards charged, launching their attacks.
The agile Silver Wolf dodged their snapping jaws, then coiled his powerful hind legs and launched his strong body at the heavy wooden gate like an arrow loosed from a bow.
BOOM! With a deafening crash, splinters flew through the air.
The Silver Wolf burst through the tribe’s main gate, his figure quickly melting into the vast darkness, leaving only a cloud of dust to settle slowly in the moonlight.
"Quick! Inform the Clan Leader!"
The guard clutched his chest, his voice laced with anger.

In a stone house at the center of the tribe, the flickering firelight cast shifting shadows across Clan Leader Jin Cang’s stern face.
"Xin Feng injured a guard?" Jin Cang slammed his palm on the stone table, making the stone bowls clatter. "Has he lost his mind? Leaving the city on his own during a beast tide!"
Jin Yi, who was standing to the side giving a report, looked up in surprise.
His brows furrowed with doubt. "Did he give a reason?"
The guard shook his head. "I only heard him say ’There’s no time’ before he rushed out."
A terrible guess formed in Jin Yi’s mind, and his voice unconsciously dropped. "The female Bai Wanwan... has she returned?"
His words were like a stone tossed into a calm lake.
Jin Cang whipped his head around, a crack appearing in his stern facade. "What did you say? Bai Wanwan hasn’t returned?"
Jin Yi’s fingertips tightened. "She went out with the search party tonight to look for Shi Hua. She should have been back long ago..."
"Jin Yue!" Jin Cang barked before he could finish. "Go confirm Bai Wanwan’s whereabouts at once!"
The stone house fell into a dead silence, broken only by the crackle of the burning torch.
Jin Yi could feel his father’s gaze, heavy and tangible, pressing down on his shoulders.
"Jin Yi..." Jin Cang’s voice suddenly grew deep. "Bai Wanwan is no ordinary female. Nothing can happen to her."
Jin Yi’s jaw tightened, but he said nothing.
"She is to be your future mate!" Jin Cang said, looking at his son. A complex emotion that Jin Yi couldn’t decipher flashed in his eyes. "The tribe needs her, and you..."
"Clan Leader!"
Jin Yue’s hurried footsteps broke the stalemate between father and son. "Clan Leader, Bai Wanwan and her Beast Husband are not in their residence!"
The color drained from Jin Cang’s face in an instant.
His hand gripped the edge of the stone table, as if he were physically restraining his emotions.
When he looked up again, his eyes were filled with resolve. "Jin Yi, immediately lead all Yellow Rank Males and above out of the city! At any cost, you must bring Bai Wanwan back safely!"
Jin Yi’s heart pounded. To deploy their elite forces on a night when the beast tide was raging—it was a move the tribe hadn’t made in decades.
’Bai Wanwan is just an outsider female. Why is Father Beast doing this?’
"Go, now!"
There was no time for questions. Jin Yi pressed his right fist to his chest, a determined light flashing in his silver-gray eyes. "Rest assured, Father Beast. I will bring the female Bai Wanwan back."
Jin Yi turned and left swiftly.
Jin Cang could no longer sit still. He rose and paced around the stone house.
"Clan Leader, worrying like this won’t solve anything. The Holy Female is protected by the Beast God. She will surely turn misfortune into good fortune. You need not worry."
Jin Cang stopped pacing and pointed outside the tribe. "You and I both know what it’s like out there right now. A small female like her, even with a Yellow Rank Male by her side, stands no chance against the beast tide."
Jin Wu sighed. ’What can be done? All we can do is submit to the will of heaven.’
"The Golden Lion Tribe has waited so long for a Holy Female. We absolutely cannot let anything happen to her!"

Bai Wanwan and Yan Lie had been hiding in the cave for two days. They had eaten their fill and slept well. Aside from worrying if the wild beasts would find their way in whenever she woke up, Bai Wanwan was actually quite comfortable.
"It’s quieted down outside. I’m going out to check on the situation."
Yan Lie squeezed her hand as he spoke, then stood up.
He had to get Wanwan back to the Golden Lion Tribe as soon as possible, away from the beast tide’s roaming grounds. Otherwise, they would never be truly safe.
Yan Lie scrambled nimbly out of the cave entrance. He paused at the opening. "Wanwan, don’t be scared. I’ll be nearby. If you get frightened, just shout for me."
"I’m not that fragile. I’m not scared. Just go and come back quickly."
She was more worried about the risks Yan Lie would face outside than she was for herself.
"Okay, I’ll be right back."
Yan Lie didn’t dare to waste any time. The sooner he scouted the area and returned to Wanwan’s side, the less she would worry.
His figure quickly vanished from the small patch of view offered by the cave mouth.
Bai Wanwan couldn’t stand still. She wrung her hands and paced back and forth restlessly.
It wasn’t safe outside yet; she could still hear the roars of beasts in the distance.
After she had paced back and forth dozens of times, the light from the cave entrance was suddenly blocked by a shadow.
Bai Wanwan jumped. Yan Lie’s voice immediately came from outside. "Wanwan, don’t be afraid, it’s me. It’s relatively safe out here now. Give me your hand. I’ll take you back to the tribe."
Hearing his words, she joyfully hurried forward and gave him her hand.
With just a slight tug, Yan Lie pulled Bai Wanwan out of the cave.
He quickly got down on all fours. "Wanwan, get on."
Bai Wanwan steadied herself against his back, climbed on, and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck.
Once he sensed the little female was secure, Yan Lie rose to his feet and began running toward the edge of the forest.
The further they ran, the more relaxed Yan Lie felt.
They hadn’t encountered any beasts along the way. They just needed to go a little further, reach the plains, and step onto the Golden Lion Tribe’s territory. Then, they would be safe.
But as he ran, Yan Lie’s pace gradually began to slow.
Noticing this, Bai Wanwan tilted her head to look at him. "What’s wrong?"
"Wanwan, something’s not right."
After speaking, Yan Lie sped up for a short distance, then leaped into the air, landing steadily on the trunk of a massive tree.
This time, Bai Wanwan didn’t even need to ask to understand what he meant by "not right."
The edge of the forest was swarming with beasts, and the plains at the foot of the mountain were even more densely packed.
Bai Wanwan’s eyes went wide with shock. "Are they going to attack the Golden Lion Tribe?"
"It’s very likely. But the Golden Lion Tribe is a large tribe. They should have no problem dealing with these beasts."
Yan Lie only let Bai Wanwan get a quick look before he leaped down from the tree and started running back into the depths of the forest.
