Chapter 191: Chapter 191: Greatest Sincerity

Jin Cang Clan Leader stopped in his tracks. His wise eyes, full of mature charm, turned back to fall upon Bai Wanwan.

"Oh? What is it you wish to ask?" he asked, a smile on his face, appearing quite amiable.

Bai Wanwan smiled as well. Her smile was radiant, but her eyes held a hint of something deeper. "Are you always this kind to every Foreign Beastman, Clan Leader?"

Jin Cang had long known this female was unlike the others, but he hadn’t expected her to be even more clever than he’d imagined.

The creases at the corners of his mouth deepened, and his smile grew warmer. "Of course not. Your Beast Husbands are all quite formidable. Befriending you may well benefit our Golden Lion Tribe in the future."

The answer seemed perfectly reasonable, yet Bai Wanwan couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off.

Seeing her thoughtful expression, Jin Cang continued to smile as he asked, "Little female, is there anything else you wish to ask?"

Bai Wanwan reined in her suspicions, lifting her gaze to meet Jin Cang Clan Leader’s wise eyes. "I do have one more thing I’d like to ask you, Clan Leader."

"Ask away."

"Have you heard of Energy Stones, Clan Leader?" Bai Wanwan asked, getting straight to the point.

’I can’t get pregnant right now, and the other way to lift Zhu Xiu’s curse is blocked for the time being. The only path left is to find an Energy Stone.’

A glint flickered in Jin Cang Clan Leader’s eyes, but his expression remained unchanged. "Why are you asking about Energy Stones?"

His response gave Bai Wanwan a glimmer of hope.

"Energy Stones are very important to me. If you have some, Clan Leader, would you be willing to trade them? I can offer you something else in exchange."

If she had been asking for anything else, Jin Cang Clan Leader would have been more than happy to trade.

He might even have been able to get her to agree to mate with Jin Yi.

But... Energy Stones were a different matter entirely.

This was a matter he needed time to consider.

"The Golden Lion Tribe does possess Energy Stones, but they are incredibly precious. I can’t just trade them away lightly."

Jin Cang didn’t shut the door on the possibility. If Bai Wanwan truly was the legendary Holy Female, he would agree on the spot.

He would trade the Energy Stone for her to mate with Jin Yi.

However, he still couldn’t be completely sure that Bai Wanwan was the Holy Female.

"You should consider my offer, Clan Leader. The Golden Lion Tribe may be powerful, but there are things it lacks. For instance... I can help the females in your tribe who struggle to conceive. Jin Cang Clan Leader, you should give my proposal some serious thought."

The smile vanished from Jin Cang’s face when he heard this. "You can enable females with low fertility to bear cubs?"

He’d never heard of a Holy Female possessing such an ability. She couldn’t just conceive easily herself, but could also help *other* females conceive?

"That’s right. I can give the Golden Lion Tribe some pills that make it very easy to conceive once taken. What do you say to trading these pills for the Energy Stone, Clan Leader?"

Jin Cang, as the leader of a major tribe, was worldly and knowledgeable, but what Bai Wanwan was claiming was simply beyond belief.

Seeing him staring at her without a word, Bai Wanwan assumed he didn’t believe her.

She walked over to Shi Hua, took her by the hand, and said to Jin Cang, "Clan Leader, Shi Hua conceived this child after taking a Fertility Pill. If you are skeptical, you can have the Clan Witch test her fertility level."

Shi Hua nodded eagerly. "It’s true. I have low fertility. I was supposed to be sent to the Female Cave. It’s all thanks to her help that I was able to conceive."

Jin Cang’s gaze fell on Shi Hua’s swollen belly, and he had already made his assessment.

"That won’t be necessary. I believe you. As for trading the Energy Stone, I still need some time to consider it. Once I’ve decided, I will send a Beastman to fetch you."

"Very well. I will show my utmost sincerity: thirty Fertility Pills. That should result in at least twenty pregnancies for your females."

’I still have almost 100,000 Points. That’s more than enough to exchange for thirty pills.’

The events of the day had been a considerable shock to Jin Cang. After taking his leave of Bai Wanwan, he turned to the Jin Wu who accompanied him.

"Uncle Witch, what do you think?"

A thoughtful expression appeared on Jin Wu’s wrinkled, ancient face. "I, too, have never heard of a Holy Female possessing such an ability."

He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "If what she says is true—that she can allow any female to bear a cub—then the tribe will see a great many newborns in a very short time."

After all, there were so many females with low fertility in the tribe. If all of them could conceive, it would be far faster than having the Holy Female, Bai Wanwan, give birth one litter at a time.

Jin Cang chuckled and shook his head. "Can cubs born to barren females be the same as cubs born to a Holy Female? And what about those two Mutated Snake Beasts you saw with your own eyes..."

Jin Cang’s eyes gleamed with covetousness. If their tribe’s descendants were all males like that, they could become a Super Tribe in less than a decade!

Realization dawned on Jin Wu, and he nodded. "Then you don’t intend to make the trade, Clan Leader?"

"I need time to think it over carefully. If I’m going to give up the Energy Stone, I would much rather Jin Yi mate with her."

But he knew that if he were to propose such a condition, Jin Yi himself might not agree.

"We’ll wait and see... In any case, it’s not like they’re in a hurry to leave."

On the other side, Bai Wanwan helped Shi Hua sit down on a stone bench and personally supervised the Golden Lion Tribe males as they cleaned up the filth in front of her home.

It took nearly half an hour for the overwhelming stench to finally dissipate.

Just as Zhu Xiu and Yan Lie returned, shouldering the Cannibal Fish, they ran into the Golden Lion Tribe males who had just finished cleaning up and were about to leave.

"What were they doing here?"

Zhu Xiu walked up to Bai Wanwan and Xin Feng and voiced his question.

"They came to help us clean up the filth."

Bai Wanwan’s attention was drawn to the large fish on his shoulder.

The fish weighed at least a hundred pounds and was as long as a ten-year-old child.

At this moment, the Cannibal Fish was bound tightly with thick vines.

It struggled to open its mouth, but only managed to reveal a sliver of its razor-sharp teeth.

"Th-this is a Cannibal Fish?"

The Golden Lion Tribe males were utterly astonished.

Even though they lived in this area, they and the fish had always kept a clear distance.

The males of the Golden Lion Tribe had tried to hunt the Cannibal Fish once, but they had suffered grievous casualties. A Clan Leader several generations ago had then forbidden any male from the tribe to ever hunt them again.

So... they did their best to avoid that puddle. If they couldn’t, they would just pass by, never daring to disturb the Cannibal Fish.

Yet these Foreign Beastmen had actually caught two and brought them back so easily!

Every male from the Golden Lion Tribe was dumbfounded. They momentarily forgot they were supposed to be leaving, their eyes glued to the Cannibal Fish on the newcomers’ shoulders.

Zhu Xiu’s gaze swept over the males. It was not a friendly look; it was a sharp, scrutinizing glare. "What are you all doing here?"

The Golden Master Tribe males snapped back to reality, tearing their eyes away from the Cannibal Fish.

"Er... I need to get home and look after my female."

"Me too..."

In just a few moments, the dozens of males had scattered completely.

Zhu Xiu’s sharp brows furrowed slightly. His gaze returned to Bai Wanwan, sweeping over her from head to toe. Only after confirming she was unharmed did he turn to Xin Feng beside them and ask, "What was that about?"
