Hearing this, Bai Wanwan propped herself up on her arms and sat up. "Zhu Xiu? I’ll go take a look."

Xin Feng immediately held her down. "Wanwan, lie down and don’t move. I’ll go see."

In the distance, a King Cobra was coiled in the clearing. The Clan Leader and the males of the Black Dog Tribe stared at him, their faces full of vigilance.

Xin Feng approached. His gaze shifted from Zhu Xiu to the Clan Leader of the Black Dog Tribe. He asked seriously, "Clan Leader, Zhu Xiu is my family. What are you doing?"

As the Clan Leader spoke, he pointed at several injured males nearby, clearly demanding an explanation from Xin Feng.

Although Xin Feng had heard Wanwan say that Zhu Xiu hadn’t hurt her even when he couldn’t recognize her, he still didn’t dare let his guard down. He followed closely behind Zhu Xiu.

Seeing the King Cobra’s massive body getting closer and closer, Shi Hua’s wheat-colored face paled with fright. She quickly turned and ran back into the room. "Wanwan, that King Cobra is coming! Right now... he might be right outside the stone house."

The King Cobra stopped about ten meters away from the stone house. His massive beast form coiled up, his black eyes fixed intently on the open stone doorway.

Zhu Xiu gave no reaction.

Xin Feng pressed his lips together and continued, "Listen to me, Wanwan is about to give birth to your snake cubs. She needs me by her side. Let me go in..."

After he finished speaking, the coiled King Cobra still showed no emotion.

Worried about Bai Wanwan, Xin Feng began to slowly inch his way forward. The King Cobra kept his eyes lowered, watching him. As Xin Feng gradually approached the stone house, Zhu Xiu suddenly raised his tail again.

"Wanwan?" Xin Feng hurried to the stone bed and held her hand.

Bai Wanwan still had the energy to smile at him. "I’m fine, don’t worry. How is Zhu Xiu?"

Xin Feng scanned her face. Seeing her rosy complexion and lack of pain, he let out a sigh of relief. "He likely came back to see you, but he’s still not entirely lucid right now. He could hurt someone at any moment."

Fortunately, Zhu Xiu didn’t seem to have any intention of coming inside.
