Chapter 90: Back Home, "Enigma" Sells Dozens of SS Rank Items!

After Vladimir returned and heard Riven’s question, he sighed heavily, resting on a sofa while gasping for air. He waved his hand and opened his storage bracelet, dropping a large pile of glowing items without saying anything else.

Everyone else stared at the scene in disbelief and deep silence. That quietness was broken only by Daniela’s loud scream, which made everyone quickly realize this was completely real.

There was a pile of dozens of SS Rank Items sitting right there on the floor, easily acquired in a single day!

Daniela, still struggling to believe what she was seeing, started stuttering uncontrollably. "W-Wha...! So many?! How?! We weren’t there!"

It just did not make sense. How was Vladimir able to farm all these high-ranked items without her and Riven being physically present inside the Gate?

Well, it seemed that Riven had discovered a dangerous loophole in how Authorities, Parties, and the power of a Gate Ruler worked together in synergy.

"I am aware," said Riven calmly. "I believe that our Authorities affect the Dungeon we’ve conquered, and... maybe because you’re part of my party or guild or whatever, you’re counted in it as well."

"Me?!" Daniela was shaken by the idea. "Wouldn’t this... make grinding even easier?"

"Indeed," Riven nodded with a small smile. "With this..."

"Forty-seven," said Vladimir, still catching his breath. "That’s how many SS Rank Items I collected today... a massive haul. This is ridiculous. Not even SS Rank or SSS Rank hunters can get these so easily... just what sort of power do you two even have?"

"Hahah, you ask too many questions," Riven smiled. "If you ask again, you’ll go mute for a month."

"Guh?!" Vladimir coughed in alarm. "....Tsk."

Riven quickly gathered the items and began selling the ones he did not need right away on the hunter market, along with everything else he had collected that was unnecessary for himself or his party. He even set aside several pieces for his future party members.

Among the items he decided to keep, the three dropped pieces from the boss were especially amazing. The Fallen King had dropped a Giant Cursed Sword of SS+++ Rank, overflowing with immense ghostly power. Riven planned to dual-wield it together with Fenrir’s Fang.

This sword greatly enhanced ghost, dark, and cursed elemental attacks, skills, and magic. It also increased his Strength, Vitality, and Endurance by around 90 percent while boosting the natural regeneration of ghostly energies.

The second item was a Fallen King’s Cursed Crown. It was a headpiece that, once equipped, cursed the wearer with madness but granted powerful Shadowmancy abilities in return. Riven had already tested it earlier and discovered he was completely immune to the madness effect.

In fact, the curses sealed within the crown fed the growth of his Undead Skills and strengthened his bones. The Shadowmancy abilities synergized extremely well with his Shadow Assault skills, making it even easier for him to move between shadows and now control them for greater offense. On top of that, the crown increased his Mana, Intelligence, and Dexterity by 70 percent.

Lastly, there was the Fallen King’s Cursed Wedding Ring. It was a cursed ring that once belonged to the king and had been shared with his beloved wife. Riven felt a little bad about wearing something so personal, but the ring offered similar magic-strengthening effects and also increased the power of his allies while sharing a portion of his own strength with them through an ability called "King’s Orders." In addition, it raised All Stats by 15 percent.

With all of this new and amazing loot secured, Riven felt ready for the next dungeon. He decided he would enter it in a couple more days, once he had set everything to work properly.

Right now, he was concentrating on selling these SS Rank and higher products under his online moniker, "Enigma." His activity was already beginning to shake the Hunter Gear Economy and the wider market. The Claymores, Frostbanes, and other large families were clamoring in disbelief at the ridiculously low prices he offered. They were especially frustrated that he refused to sell his products to companies or conglomerates and only dealt with individual users, always rejecting their bulk purchase offers.

He even went out of his way to give discounts to poorer high-ranked hunters who needed a strong weapon to continue growing. As a small kindness, he always added a few potions, medicines, or antidotes that he had made using his own powers. In this way he was creating an incredible new online persona that had become so popular that even the television news was talking about him. Online forums were filled with discussions, and Riven was quietly reading many of them.

Riven leaned back on the couch with his tablet in hand. The soft glow of the screen illuminated his face as the rest of the family settled in for the late dinner. The rotisserie chicken filled the living room with a rich, savory aroma. Daniela and Carlos were already arguing over who would get the bigger drumstick, while Elisa rested comfortably against his shoulder, still practicing small mana manipulations by floating a single grape in the air.

Vladimir sat stiffly on the far armchair. As a small reward, he had been allowed to drink some wine while he waited for dinner. He glared at the mountain of SS-rank loot that Riven had just finished listing on the Hunter Market under the alias Enigma.

The first notifications began rolling in within minutes.
