Riven was shaken by the sudden revelation. He had just acquired a powerful method for cultivating the blood, then another for the soul, and finally one that focused entirely on the bones. It seemed that this new art allowed him to continuously grow the strength of his entire skeleton simply by consuming other corpses — something he already did all the time because Predator required him to devour his prey.

Riven attempted to conjure that promised Synergy right away, but he quickly found himself unable to activate it. He still lacked the necessary accumulated power. First he would have to use the Asura Blood Sea Scripture Skill to absorb large amounts of blood and lifeforce from living foes. After that he needed to use the Yin Corpse Bone-Forging Art to consume skeletons and bones. Only once he had gathered enough of both energies could he finally unify the two into something even greater: the Crimson Flesh White Bone Fiend Celestial Method!

From the brief glimpses of power he felt when he failed to unleash this synergy ability, it seemed the method would completely unify both bone and flesh cultivation, while also incorporating the blood aspect as well. Everything would merge into a single, continuous system of growth. That unified path could then evolve even further when combined with his existing Titan Physique and his Ten Thousand Poison Heart Sutra, allowing all of these different cultivation methods to complement and strengthen one another in powerful ways.

The potential left Riven quiet for several long seconds as he considered the long-term implications. Each new skill he obtained from these undead meals was not merely an isolated ability. Riven couldn’t help but laugh a little under his breath at the sheer ridiculousness of this incredible SS-Rank Talent. The jump from a modest C-Rank Death Knight to a full Death King was almost absurd in its scale. One moment he had simply been a knight bound to serve death, and the next he held the potential to rule over the dead themselves.
