Chapter 358: Assault! Destroying The Mana And Spirit Reactors With One Single Attack!

After studying her face and how determined Daniela was, Riven sighed and nodded along.

"Fine. But don’t go far from me. Always stay by my side, alright?" He gently caressed her cheek, still troubled by the thought of her being caught in the fighting.

"Okay!" Daniela nodded and smiled before leaning closer to kiss his cheek. "I won’t leave your side." Then, as if a much better idea had suddenly come to her, her eyes brightened. "Wait, can’t I stay behind you instead? Carry me on your back! I can give you luck from there, and I can throw weapons at anyone who gets too close!" She raised her arms to demonstrate, looking far more excited about the plan than Riven expected.

"That doesn’t sound like a bad strategy, but..." Riven thought about it, glancing over his shoulder as he considered how exposed they would be. "If something big and strong appears, you could die quickly if it attacks my back. No, I won’t let you die, but still... Hmm." He looked at their small bodies, then at the battlefield ahead. Keeping them close would at least let him protect them without losing sight of either one. "Fine. You two can climb onto my back. You’re both so small that I can carry you easily, even while fighting."

Riven had already transformed into his Nine-Tailed Kitsune form. He was three times taller than before, with a much stronger and more muscular body, though his build remained slender and lean.

Both girls blushed slightly as they climbed onto his bare back, placing their hands against his warm skin and the patches of fur growing along parts of his body. His nine fluffy tails curled around them, giving them plenty of support so they would not fall once he began moving.

The moment the tails surrounded them; however, both girls forgot about the danger for a few seconds. The fur was so comfortable that they felt as if they were floating among the clouds.

"So fluffy!" Daniela chuckled innocently, burying her hands in one of the tails before remembering that they were supposed to be preparing for battle.

"Riven, you should use this form more often!" Label nodded in agreement, holding another tail against herself while making sure she remained securely seated.

"H-Hey! What are you doing?! Enough!" Riven lowered his ears, clearly embarrassed by how quickly they had become distracted. His tails moved behind him, tightening around both girls to keep them in place. "Focus. Once I attack, everyone in that settlement will know we’re here."

Both girls nodded and finally became serious. Label and Daniela quickly drank two more tonics, swallowing the bitter liquid without complaint. Energy spread through their bodies as their stats rose, and their auras surged around them before joining with Riven’s.

Daniela gripped his fur with one hand and prepared several weapons with the other, while Label watched the towers carefully, ready to warn him if the soldiers reacted sooner than expected.

Meanwhile, Riven held his two axes tightly and began channeling the power of Divine Axe Art. His grip became firmer as he fused the technique with his Heavenly Poison Body, Titan Physique, Magic Circle, and Spells. Several layers of power gathered around the blades, each one pressing against the others while he forced them to remain stable.

Then, he targeted the two reactors with a single concentrated attack. The distance between them made the angle difficult but Riven adjusted the position of both axes until each blade faced a different structure. He only needed one opening. If the attack struck correctly, the barriers would lose their source of power before the soldiers had time to organize.

Riven coalesced, compressed, and contained the power of all three techniques within his Divine Axe Art Talent. The energy resisted him, shaking the axes in his hands, yet he continued forcing it inward until it formed a dense layer around their edges. Once it stabilized, he imbued a Divine Ki Bead into the attack, causing the gathered power to rise again even further.

At the same time, he drew upon his three Cultivation Methods and activated Ki Compression. Ice Elemental Mana poured through the weapons, surrounding the Divine Ki with freezing energy, while his deadly and explosive poisons spread across both blades.

He forced every power into the enormous Giant Axe, Atlas, using it as the core that held the unstable combination together. Cracks formed across the ground beneath his feet as the pressure continued rising, and both reactors began trembling in the distance before he had even released the attack.

RUMBLE!

The ground beneath him cracked and shattered as the power gathered around his axes. Guards and robots detected the disturbance and slowly began moving toward the source, expecting another group of undead to be wandering too close to the settlement. Several soldiers raised their rifles, while the machines scanned the damaged terrain for movement. None of them realized the danger until the energy around Riven reached its limit.

But then, Riven attacked. He swung both axes at once, releasing everything he had compressed into them before the defenders could sound a proper warning.

TRUUUUUMMM!!!

The barrier was immediately punched through as a massive cleaving slash surged forward, formed from several compressed techniques, Spells, and different types of Magic. Its edges tore through the protective field and forced the opening wider, scattering fragments of Mana and Spirit Energy across the settlement as if they were broken glass.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!

The slash pierced through dozens of buildings, cutting across workshops, barracks, and storage facilities without slowing down. It blew apart the two Communication Towers first, sending metal and stone spinning through the air, before splitting into both reactors at the same time. For a brief instant, the Mana Reactor and Spirit Reactor swelled with unstable energy as their damaged cores tried to contain the attack.

RUUUMBLE!

BOOOMMM!!!

BOOOMMM!!!

Then, two enormous explosions surged from the center of the settlement. Mushroom-shaped clouds rose into the sky as Mana and Spirit Energy erupted in every direction, swallowing several nearby buildings in expanding waves of light. The loose energy spread across the floor before being rapidly reabsorbed by the land, causing dead grass to bend and cracks to shine across the ground.
