The spear seemed furious, zapping Riven with an explosion of golden electricity and sliding away from his hands, flying into the ceiling and crashing into the hard stone.

The impact left a large hole in the ceiling and sent small pieces of rock falling down.

"It escaped?!" Daniela gasped.

She took a step back, eyes fixed on the place where the spear had disappeared.

With his bones alone, he grabbed the spear and molded his soul into a long blade of light, his Blade of Memories, piercing Cagliostro’s own soul and destroying the bond with Guinevere.

The blade sank deep into the weapon’s core, cutting through the old connection piece by piece.

"My sister doesn’t deserve such a wonderful spear, Cagliostro, you’re mine to command. And I will use your power to do what my sister would never do, save this damned planet and its people!"

He spoke the words while still holding the spear in place, refusing to let it move even an inch.

The sudden appearance made him pause for a second, but he quickly pushed the question aside.

The golden figure broke apart into small pieces of light that were pulled straight into the blade.

At the same time, the spear trembled and changed colors, absorbing his own essence, it began to... evolve!

The metal shifted under his bony hands, taking in the new energy without any further resistance.

FLAAASH!

It pulsed with power, generating rainbow-colored crystals and growing even longer, almost like a giant pillar of gold and rainbow jewels.

New crystals kept forming along the shaft, covering more and more of the original gold surface.

It pulsed with power and then gained two long blades at its ends, evolving from a spear into a long polearm, of legendary power.

The shape settled into its new form, heavier and longer than before.
