Delayed for Four Lifetimes: I Awaken by Investing in My Crippled Wife
Chapter 243: The Amazing Power Of Divine Spirit Heart
-----
After seeing the new and powerful Skill he had acquired, Riven felt the energies coursing through his body and tested the true expansion of his spiritual abilities.
What’s more was that his "spirits" could now bond with him in a much better way than ever before, leaving him new ways to continue growing stronger.
The little white fox spirit appeared in front of Riven and then rubbed its soft face against his own with surprising affection. Before he could react further, it suddenly pierced his chest, phasing completely through the flesh and bone as if his body offered no resistance, and entered his Divine Spirit Heart.
"What the...?!"
As Riven felt something within him pulsing with power, his senses suddenly dulled and the world around him turned pitch black, making him disappear and move elsewhere within a split second.
FLUOSH!
"?!"
For a moment Riven was suddenly "teleported" elsewhere. He found himself standing within an endless sea of bright yellow, blue, and green colors that constantly shifted and swirled under a vast rainbow sky.
The sky itself possessed some kind of massive, crystallized ceiling made of clear green and yellow crystals high above. There were also enormous clouds formed from condensed spirit energy and mana floating serenely overhead.
"What is this place?!" he wondered aloud, turning slowly as he tried to take in the impossible scenery.
"It is your Inner Spiritual Sea, Riven," a powerful and wise voice suddenly echoed from behind him. "Huh?! That voice...!"
Within the Inner Spiritual Sea Riven saw a pair of blazing red eyes staring directly at him. Although they were not fully bonded like a conventional spirit and master, he had indeed forged a genuine connection with her the moment he took over the dungeon core that had practically served as her heart.
"Ignias...!"
The faint blazing silhouette of the dragoness manifested more clearly as she stared at Riven with warm eyes full of both delight and open disbelief.
"It is truly incredible what you have achieved," she spoke with deep emotion. "It seems the bond we share is similar to that of a Spirit Master and their Contracted Spirit, incredibly enough. And that little one over there also seems to be a partner in that same contract with you. We are equals now, small fox."
"Gauuh!" the fox cutely wagged her fluffy white tail and floated toward the massive figure of the dragoness without any fear.
Riven stared in pure disbelief as Ignias’ Spiritual Body sank into the colorful seas and began to absorb the endless source of energy. Her form grew steadily more solid and defined with every passing second.
SPLAAASH!
"Ahhh, this is refreshing!" she declared with clear pleasure as she swam through the vast spiritual sea, her form becoming more and more solid as she did, it seemed that it also nourished her weakened and old soul quite a great deal. "It is incredible. You possess a Divine Spirit Heart, something no mortal should ever be able to develop under normal circumstances! And yet you show no side effects at all? Your spirit energy and mana have become so vast that they have formed their own sea within your heart, liquefying into this pure elixir for us spiritual beings!"
"So that is what happened...!" Riven nodded as understanding settled over him. "I wonder if this sea can be used in some other way as well?"
"Besides keeping us well fed and healthy, you can of course use it in other ways, but it will take you some time to learn how..." Ignias explained patiently. "I am willing to teach you. I once also held such a power myself long ago."
"Would you really? Thank you," Riven thanked her with a sincere nod.
Ignias smiled warmly. For the first time in ages she felt as though the madness that had once consumed her was almost completely gone. "I do not know what you have done to me, Riven Claymore, but I have never felt this refreshed before. It is as if all the madness and murkiness that accumulated in my soul over the years has simply faded away."
"I can see that," Riven nodded in agreement. "Tomorrow I will show you to Label and the rest. I would like you to become everyone’s friend if possible. I believe we can overcome your remaining madness if you forge new bonds once more, Ignias. That deep loneliness was likely the true cause of it all."
"..." Ignias sighed softly. "Perhaps..."
"Until then... uh, can you help me wake up? I think I am stuck here," Riven admitted with a slightly embarrassed tone.
"Hahaha! Of course," Ignias laughed, the sound rich and genuine. "It is only natural. You possess a power you really should not have... I will guide you."
She quickly imbued her spiritual power into Riven. It manifested as a blazing surge of warm energy that wrapped around him completely. In the blink of an eye he disappeared from the Inner Spiritual Sea and opened his eyes once more in reality.
"I hope I did not spend too much time in there," he groaned while massaging his temples. He then continued reading the system notifications that still floated patiently in front of him.
[Skill Acquired: [Ancient Blazing Dragon Blood – Level 1]: You have inherited a faint trace of the Ancient Blazing Dragon Bloodline that once belonged to the family of the same name, originating from the World of Dragons, Drakenward. You can manifest a faint amount of the Blazing Dragon Lineage by infusing Mana and Blood Energy into your own Bloodstream, transforming into a Lesser Blazing Dragonoid for a couple of minutes. The Transformation includes Scales, Tail, Sharp Fangs, Claws, Flame Breath, and Dragon Fear as Abilities. While in this form, your stats increase drastically, but your Stamina and Mana is rapidly drained.]
[x10,000 Reward Multiplier Activated!]
[Skill: [Ancient Blazing Dragon Blood – Level 1] has been multiplied by x10,000!]
What sort of Skill could possibly be born from the evolution of an already powerful Dragon Blood Skill?
