"Mordred..."

Vladimir whispered that name under his breath as he finally recalled who this man truly was. Mordred Claymore, second son of the Claymore Enterprises President Arthur Claymore, and older brother to Riven. Someone who had vanished after a mysterious Gate incident fifteen years ago, only to return a year later completely reborn and stronger than ever before, now stood before them as the true Cult Master of Fenrir.

He surveyed the massive crowd with languid amusement. A sickening smile filled with pure fascination spread across his face, as though the hundreds of devoted killers and fanatics gathered before him were nothing more than an interesting collection of pets. And perhaps, in his eyes, that was exactly what they were.

To him this entire cult was merely a "hobby," or perhaps a "passion project." It was a collection of misfits who hated life and the world, along with the company his father had built. They were filled with the same resentment and hatred against Arthur Claymore that Mordred himself carried. And when he finally spoke, his voice was smooth, cultured, and laced with quiet contempt for the world above.

"My faithful," Mordred began, spreading his arms slightly. "You have waited long enough. Some of you doubted. Some of you whispered that the Master was only a legend. That the true leader of the Fenrir Cult was merely a convenient myth used by the Apostles to keep you all in line." He smiled faintly. "I am no myth."

He stepped closer to the raised stone platform where the three Apostles stood. They immediately dropped to one knee, heads bowed in absolute reverence.

"Oooh, master!"

"Oh, the great, true vessel of Fenrir!"

"The chosen by the Great Wolf, the Herald of Ragnarok...!"

Seeing how the Apostles all acted, everyone else instantly knelt as well. Their disbelief faded away from their faces the moment they felt his true divine power pressing down on them.

He did not simply exude the strength of an oppressively powerful SSS Rank Hunter...

A power he had been carefully hiding this entire time was finally revealed.

L Rank!

"I am Mordred Claymore," he continued, the name rolling off his tongue with open pride. "Born into the same house that produced the so-called heroes of this age. Raised among the same power-hungry parasites who believe bloodline and ranking alone define a person’s worth. And I rejected all of it."

His cold eyes swept across the cavern as he spread his arms wider, trying to present himself as someone virtuous who hated corruption, even though his true desire was simply to steal his father’s seat of power.

"While my younger brother crawled through the dirt as the family’s greatest disappointment, I walked into the deepest Gates and returned with something far greater than mere strength. I returned with the blessing of Fenrir itself. I have returned as a God."

A wave of shocked murmurs surged through the cultists. Vladimir felt the crest on his hand burn hotter than ever before, as though the wolf spirit sealed within it recognized its true master... a shocking revelation after Fenrir had acted so condescending toward Riven.

But now everything made perfect sense!

It all finally clicked into place!

Why Fenrir had been so amused by Riven, why he had helped him, and why he seemed to be looking forward to something extremely interesting.

After all, the one who was his true vessel and the first holder of his full Authority was none other than Riven’s older brother.

What more could a being who loved drama and chaos possibly want than a conflict between siblings that might eventually lead to their shared demise?

Mordred’s smile widened just a fraction as he noticed the stares of those who had not completely knelt. Among them was Vladimir, who quickly lowered his head the moment he felt those cold eyes linger on him for even a brief second.

"The next phase shall begin soon. Because this cult is not just an association of hopeless fools. We have a true goal — a goal that transcends humanity itself and seeks the complete destruction of the established powers. We will take away what they stole from us... from me... and we will crush them under our feet."

The three Apostles rose as one when they heard his grand plans for the future.

"We will rise as one," he laughed darkly. "All of you, my precious pups, shall become the chaos that spreads across this city soon enough. I promise you that much."

He knew full well that nobody present could ever divulge this information. They were all soul-bound never to reveal the truth to anyone who was not already a member of the cult.

This was precisely why Mordred had decided to reveal himself openly — to show his face to everyone with complete confidence and to strike deep fear into their hearts at the same time.

"Ragnarok is coming! Fenrir shall herald the end of the Human Era and the rise of us — those who have fully embraced the beasts within!"

Mordred roared as his body began to change. He transformed into a huge, gigantic werewolf standing fifteen meters tall. Thick crimson fur grew rapidly across his massive muscular arms as he threw his head back and howled toward the cavern ceiling.

"A W O O O O O O O O O !!!"

Everyone else followed in a complete daze, overcome by his overwhelming presence. Their skills activated automatically under the force of his will. Vladimir could resist the transformation now, somehow, yet he chose to engage and play along for the sake of survival.

Every single cultist transformed into enormous werewolves. Their stats and ranks skyrocketed massively in an instant. Even the weakest among them all reached solid C Rank, while many climbed to A Rank or even S Rank!

As they roared and howled in unison, the sound echoing endlessly across the underground halls, the three Apostles transformed as well. They revealed their own regal and monstrous werewolf forms, standing proudly at Mordred’s side.
