Death Notice
Book 11: Chapter 1: Departure
“…The Apostle Soul Mark has entered the Boundary Dimension. The Shattered Laws are activating…”
“…Detected that the Apostle’s affiliated team is a beginner-level three-person Black Iron Team. Beginning to match Quest World…”
“…Detected that the Team Warehouse possesses a unique World Token from the Toril World, with three teleportation slots, meeting the team teleportation requirements. Three Apostles matched and entered the different space-time world Toril…”
“…Detected that Apostle 70053’s warehouse holds a personal identity token—the Uvellen Obelisk. Moreover, this Apostle has experienced one adventure in the Prime Material World of Toril. Apostle 70053 automatically possesses the original Plot Identity…”
“…Customizing special Plot Character body. The Apostle Soul Mark is integrated into the character’s body and transformed into a Law Body! (This modification cost is 20,000 Shattered Crystal, to be settled upon return).”
“…Beginning synchronization of Apostle’s data with this world’s laws. This world has laws of different dimensions, complete Magic Web technology, steam and gunpowder tech. All equipment, items, and skills of the Apostle can be used without any restrictions.”
“…Detected that the Apostle possesses a Divine Domain. Calculations indicate this Divine Domain may attract unwanted attention from deities. The Apostle can decide whether to conceal the Divine Domain. The concealment cost is fifty thousand Shattered Crystal, to be settled upon return.”
“Hint: Because this team entered Toril guided by a World Token, and the previous Epic Quest was exited from the fourth node without full completion, the stay duration is halved, temporarily set at two natural weeks. After acquiring new Plot Missions, there is a certain probability of increasing the stay duration.”
“Hint: Because Apostle 70053 has already obtained a special Plot Identity, the Shattered Starry Sky will not assign a team Guidance Mission. The Apostles need to explore the original exit node themselves and trigger Plot Missions to obtain the final quest evaluation and exploration rate benefits.
If no Plot Mission is triggered after half the stay duration has passed, the Star Void will treat it as task avoidance and directly expel the Apostle from the Toril World. Due to the World Token, if the Apostle team does not obtain a Plot Mission, they will not be subject to failure penalties!”

World Background Summary:
In the spring of 1355 of the Vale Calendar, a far-reaching epic event occurred on Faerûn. Initiated by the Cormanthor Sun Elf Court, and led by Sun Elf Prince Milleras, an elf envoy group traveled along the great Ancient Path, visiting various Elf Courts and human nations along the way, and successively gaining recognition from these countries and regions.
This achievement allowed the elves of Faerûn to migrate along the Ancient Path to the current elf holy land—Evermeet—and thus avoid the spreading chaos and conflicts of the troubled times dominated by humans on Faerûn.
Meanwhile, in the central-western part of Faerûn, led by the Anke Elf Court, Moon Elves and Green Elves were forming the most powerful Elven Royal Court since the destruction of the Kaeldomo.
Moon Elf King Thanequalas Nightstar wished to use the Anke Elf Court as the core, uniting the Moon Elves and Green Elves from Qiongda’er to the east, Winter Forest and Thornwood to the north, Mir Forest to the west, and even the Vildas Forest, to restart the merger negotiations of the ancient Kaeldomo elves.
By sharing part of the royal authority of the Elf Court and integrating the branch inheritances of the Kaeldomo elves like Seopia, Ilfaron, and Serthel, they aimed to establish a large Elven Royal Court led by Moon Elves.
The future Moon Elf Royal Court of Faerûn, due to the Apostles’ plot involvement, became far more powerful than in history.
Due to the successive deaths of the second-generation World Trees, the Anke Elf Court, which had successfully cultivated a third-generation World Tree, had a complete opportunity to merge the nearby Winter Forest and Thornwood. The only thing lacking was sufficient prestige for the Anke Elf Court.
But the situation was different now. Qin Lun’s identity as Elf Prince Firal allowed the Moon Elves to share the glory of the Sun Elves retracing the Ancient Path, giving the various Elf Courts of Faerûn another option besides Evermeet.
Especially the various Moon Elf branches in the central-western part of the continent, originally part of the Kaeldomo elf heritage, who were unwilling to travel far to Evermeet and submit again to the future Sun Court leadership.
Just as the Anke Elf King successfully won over the Winter Forest and Thornwood, their negotiations with the Qiongda’er Green Elves, Mir Elves, and Vildas Elves gradually bore fruit.
Of course, like the Faerûn elves, as the new era approached, other races and nations on the continent also began experiencing turbulent changes.
First, the Shield Dwarf King Bruno Warhammer returned from Icewind Dale, vowing to eliminate the Shadow Dragon ‘Gleaming Shadow’ and the Gray Dwarves occupying Mithril Hall, to reclaim the dwarf capital—the Northlands Mithril Hall—and restore the glory of the Sannata Dwarves.
Second, the previously loosely connected Silver Marches alliance intended to establish a truly unified nation—the Silver Marches.
The Silver Marches was a multi-racial regional alliance, where humans and Northlanders made up forty percent of the population, Half-elves and Elves about thirty percent, and the remaining thirty percent consisted of diverse groups including Dwarves, Half-Beings, Gnomes, and even Goblins and a few Orc tribes.
The upper structure of this alliance region was mainly composed of Mages and Elven Druids, inheriting parts of the cultural legacies of the Yrl’s Elf Empire and the human magic empire—Nethril. Once truly established as a nation, it would undoubtedly become a behemoth in the north.
Finally, there were the events of the undead invasion at the border between Amn and Baldur’s Gate, and the events of the Drow Elves appearing in the underground faults of the major mountain ranges in the central continent.
The undead invading the human world from the Cloud Peaks area were likely a sudden incident. Although they caused extremely adverse effects initially, these undead were limited in strength after all and soon retreated back into the Cloud Peaks under the suppression of the Amnian Guard.
Meanwhile, the events concerning the Drow Elves in the central continent’s mountain faults were still developing. No one knew whether these black-skinned Evil Creatures were just temporarily raiding the surface or a precursor to an invasion from the Underdark.
Additional Note: This world is a multi-dimensional Prime Material World. When Apostles die in this world, they will randomly drop equipment and items.
Countdown to formal entry into this world: Thirty seconds.
Countdown begins: 30, 29, 28…
As his consciousness gradually awakened, Qin Lun felt a cold, uncomfortable sensation all over his body. He opened his eyes to complete darkness. With his excellent Night Vision Ability, he found himself wearing a ragged shirt, lying in dirty, murky sewage.
“Where is this?” Qin Lun sat up and carefully observed his surroundings. The two companions who should have entered Toril with him were nowhere to be seen nearby.
“It stinks…and there seems to be a hint of sea water smell too!” Qin Lun raised his arm and sniffed; a strong odor of salted fish assaulted his nostrils, making him frown. He quickly shook his hand.
Qin Lun stood up from the sewage and expressionlessly cleaned off the stinking garbage tangled on him. Even though the smell on his body was unbearable, he still could not take off the stained, tattered shirt, or else he would be naked.
“Where exactly is this place?” Looking at the arched, dirty passageway around him, Qin Lun felt his usually strong patience being tested. He couldn’t help but glance again at the prompts in the Death Notice.
“It is indeed Baldur’s Gate… Could this be the city’s sewer?” Qin Lun frowned, then shook his head.
Although there was no light here, the Night Vision Ability granted by his Elf Bloodline allowed him to see the surroundings clearly. This arched passage was built from huge stone bricks. Because it was perpetually damp, dark green moss covered the walls on both sides.
On either side of the passage, there was a walkway about three feet wide, slightly above the water surface. However, it was sticky and extremely slippery, making it hard to imagine it was meant for walking. The arched ceiling of the passage was over five meters high, with a sewage channel nearly one meter deep and over ten meters wide in the middle.
The reason it didn’t seem like a sewer was that sewers usually weren’t this spacious; even the sewers of a modern metropolis might only be half as wide.
“Qin Lun, where are you?” Just as Qin Lun was observing his surroundings, Hill’s voice came through the Team Channel.
“I’m in a passage that looks like a sewer. Is Rand with you?” Hearing Hill’s voice, Qin Lun felt somewhat relieved. Since the Team Channel could receive messages from his companions, he figured they couldn’t be too far away.
“Rand is with me. We are in a tavern called ‘Oak Barrel,’ probably located in the dock district of Baldur’s Gate.” Hill said softly, “Rand and I currently have the Plot Identity of human mercenaries. The patrons of this tavern are mostly mercenaries too; the environment is a bit complicated!”
Even though they had two World Tokens for positioning, because two quest worlds had passed since Qin Lun last entered the Toril World, he guessed the time point of their entry wouldn’t be exactly when they exited last time.
However, the location should still be Baldur’s Gate. He just didn’t know how much time had passed since their exit point. Qin Lun had detailed the general geography of Baldur’s Gate to Hill and Rand before entering, so the three could regroup quickly.
The only thing Qin Lun hadn’t anticipated was that the Star Void would drop him into a completely unfamiliar sewer, adding considerable difficulty to their reunion.
“You two wait for now. I need to explore this place and find a way out!” Qin Lun said helplessly, “You can also help by asking those mercenaries. Inquire if there’s such a large sewer underground in Baldur’s Gate and where one can get out.”
