Death Flag System: I Became An Extra From The Author Who Killed Me!
Chapter 192: Class Vote
“As you all know, the continuation of the Academy Celebration will now continue. You have a few days until the fight between the classes resumes. The Academies decided to start again to give the classes another chance while giving you newcomers an advantage by providing you with a Safety Card.”
The detailed information about the Academy Tournament was laid out in front of their boards in the homeroom class of 7-A by Ulrich. The same information was also given to them through a scheduler.
It was the same theme: Capture the Flag. With its rules and conditions still the same, there were a few changes, such as their class having the Safety Card.
An advantage they got by being in Viola, where they were allowed to fight again in the event that they lost one round.
‘Safety Card, huh.’
It was the next day, and the Academy’s classes had continued. Nothing much had happened in the classes that Cillian had attended earlier, as he mainly prioritized what he liked rather than the standard classes where one attended simply because their peers were there or because it helped them elevate themselves entirely.
“I think this should give you an idea of what the celebration will be like, given the information you all have in mind.”
Ulrich then turned around and looked over at Willow.
“Even though we haven’t talked about it yet, would you be interested in taking on the role of class representative, Willow?”
Willow, who was on the sidelines, was about to stand up after Ulrich said that when another hand was raised, making everyone look in her direction. Ulrich then looked toward the woman, another leader from a class back in Viola.
‘Right, this class is a mix of people from Viola who had no choice but to be put in here, and some of them are leaders on their own. God, these two.’
The one who raised her hand was none other than Dena. She took a glance at Willow before speaking.
“I want to be the class representative of this class.”
A declaration.
Willow, who had been on the same carriage ride for four days, understood that this was a challenge, so she also spoke up.
“I don’t mind taking a vote. I also want to be the class representative of this class.”
Some other people who wanted to join couldn’t help but hesitate to raise their hands once they realized that there was an unknown tension between the two. Only then did Ulrich decide to make a decision that would suit the two of them.
“All right. Since the two people have a disagreement, we will hold a vote for class representatives.”
The class voting began.
…
‘Ah shit. I’ve watched this cliché setup with my own eyes, and you’re making my position awkward with this?’
Cillian mused inwardly as he looked toward the tally on the board where the vote count was displayed.
Willow – 19
Dena – 18
Since there were forty students in each class and the two candidates couldn’t vote for themselves, Cillian’s choice was either going to decide the outcome or become a tiebreaker between the two who were willing to be representatives.
‘Man, I do remember also being a class representative in my class. And I can totally say it’s totally tiring to do.’
Cillian mused inwardly before looking toward the two women standing at the front, gazing in his direction. They mainly stood there, not urging him to vote quickly or trying to convince him as if they were desperate enough to get his vote.
At least, not on the outside.
Their eyes, however, were burning with passion, as if one wrong move from Cillian was enough to incur their wrath in case he made a bad choice.
Was there really a bad choice here?
“Cillian, choose now.”
Cillian wasn’t really worried about the voting at all.
What he was worried about was Ulrich’s voice, which continued to urge him to vote quickly, as if he wanted to get out of here. He looked like he was ready to go. In fact, he had been ready to go even before the voting started.
The only reason he had started this vote was that he didn’t want to cause problems between a noble and a bigshot of the Underworld.
‘Why are you so impatient, sir? Want to do something?’
Cillian continued looking toward the two ladies even though his attention was solely on Ulrich’s movements.
He wanted to investigate this guy even more before finally seeing the cold eyes of his homeroom teacher staring back at him.
It was only then that Cillian raised his hand and spoke.
“Willow.”
Both of them were shocked to receive Cillian’s answer, as Willow and Dena looked at each other. Probably because they didn’t expect the answer they were getting after thinking they would have to do another round of voting since it would be a tie.
“Okay, that’s all. You can start meeting up, as the upcoming fight will commence. Good luck.”
Ulrich silently told everyone as he immediately started walking away from the front while the class began gathering together.
“What the hell, Cillian?”
Dena looked at him with confusion, her hands raised as if betrayed by Cillian’s actions. She was about to chase him down when the group she had formed in the class surrounded her and started talking to her about the tournament.
‘I’m sorry. I wanted to see if my suspicions were correct. It seems like it’s true after seeing Ulrich appearing fidgety throughout the class.’
Cillian apologized inwardly while giving an apologetic look toward Dena before leaving the classroom, seeing Ulrich’s trail from a distance.
‘Where is this guy going?’
Cillian thought inwardly while looking ahead, where Darwin was following closely behind and also glancing in his direction.
‘Just what are you planning, you old geezers.’
Cillian thought inwardly, feeling that Darwin wasn’t stopping him. Instead, as if wanting Cillian to see what was happening, Darwin simply let him be and followed them from behind.
Cillian followed closely behind.
They passed through the Academy halls before exiting through its gate. After roaming outside for a while, Cillian and Darwin eventually reached their destination, where Ulrich entered an abandoned house.
