Death Draw System: Infinite Revives in the Horror Dungeon
Chapter 247: A New Dictator
The backlash from the Word Spirit had finally overwhelmed the corpse, which collapsed to the ground as a headless body.
"Hit it! Hit it now!"
Long John seized the opportunity.
The hammer and sickle wielded by his illustrated warriors swept across the spaces around the Perfect Man’s heads.
ZZZZT!
Sparks flew as the weapons struck against the golden masks. The Perfect Man’s enormous body shuddered.
"Ahhh! Ahhh!"
"You dog thing!" Shen Yu roared. "The world belongs to the people!"
A pair of enormous hands covered in black cow hair gripped the iron hammer.
BOOM!
The hammer slammed into one of the Perfect Man’s heads.
It sank into the monster’s skull as easily as a knife cutting through tofu.
The golden mask shattered.
The hammer punched straight through the head, and blood erupted violently from the wound.
"Ahhh! You... You despicable—despicable creatures!"
With one head smashed, the Perfect Man’s arms immediately fell limp. A third of its enormous body collapsed onto the ground like rotten mud.
But before it could finish screaming, Wen Lan’s cold voice rang out.
"Exploiter! Let me show you how sharp the sickle of the peasant class truly is!"
Her arm, covered in gray horsehair, swept forward.
The old-fashioned sickle sliced across the neck of the Perfect Man’s second head.
Whoosh!
A flash of cold light passed through the air.
PFFT!
Blood exploded from the wound.
The monster’s second head was severed, and another third of its body went limp.
A fountain of blood erupted as the golden-masked head flew through the air before landing heavily in a corner of the ninth-floor office.
"Ah! Ahhh! Despicable! Despicable!"
The Perfect Man’s final head opened its mouth, its teeth wriggling as it screamed.
"This company belongs to me! Everything here is my property! Mine! You despicable creatures! You all deserve to die!"
Its remaining arms struggled to rise, reaching toward Shen Yu and Wen Lan.
But the two did not retreat.
"Long live the proletariat!"
"Long live the workers and peasants!"
Facing the monster’s outstretched arms, Shen Yu and Wen Lan crossed their weapons in midair.
The hammer came down from one side, while the sickle swept in from the other.
Together, they smashed into the Perfect Man’s final head.
"Damn you! Damn you! You—!"
The reaching hands were instantly cut apart and crushed beneath the crossed weapons.
For a moment, the crossed hammer and sickle formed a distinct pattern against the monster’s final head.
Then—
BOOM!
The two weapons flashed past each other.
The Perfect Man’s final head sank inward, spraying blood everywhere. Its mouth continued opening and closing, but no coherent words emerged.
Finally, its enormous body crashed to the ground.
Gurgle... Gurgle... Gurgle...
Blood poured from its severed necks.
Shen Yu and Wen Lan raised the hammer and sickle high, standing over the corpse like victorious warriors.
They had won.
The ultimate exploiter who had ruled over the company had finally fallen at the hands of those he had oppressed.
"We won!"
"Finally! We’ve finally cleared this dungeon!"
After wiping the blood from her sickle, Wen Lan turned cautiously toward Long John.
The man who had secretly planned the rebellion had never been interested solely in freeing the company. He clearly had personal motives of his own.
Perhaps, once everything was settled, he would reveal his true intentions.
"Hey, hey, hey! Don’t point that thing at me!"
Long John trembled as Wen Lan’s sickle remained directed toward him.
"Everything can be negotiated! Everything! Well, except for my drawings—I have my limits there. But otherwise, I have no problem cooperating!"
He looked as though he might cry.
"Please, please move the sickle! Could you move it just a little? I beg you!"
That weapon was terrifyingly sharp.
It had sliced through the Perfect Man as easily as tofu. If Wen Lan decided to turn it on him, his own body would probably be just as easy to cut apart as one of his drawings.
"Hmph! You’d better behave yourself."
Wen Lan finally turned away.
But something still bothered her.
"Shen Yu, why hasn’t the dungeon announced that we’ve cleared it yet?"
She looked at him suspiciously.
However, Shen Yu did not respond.
Wen Lan turned her head toward him—and was startled to discover that he was staring at the headless Rabbit woman.
"Ah... Ah... Ah!"
Lin Wan had once again had her head bitten off.
Yet her headless body continued crawling stubbornly in one direction, clutching something in her hand.
It was the head of the Perfect Man that Wen Lan had severed with her sickle.
Although the golden mask had been cut by the blade, it continued to shimmer faintly.
Lin Wan clutched the severed head, her body trembling uncontrollably.
But she wasn’t afraid.
She was excited.
Overwhelmingly, frighteningly excited.
"I told you... I told you!"
Her voice trembled with madness.
"Everyone who bullies me will eventually be crushed beneath my feet! I’ll climb step by step, crawling from the lowest floor to the highest!"
She raised the Perfect Man’s head.
"And I will become the highest ruler!"
Snap!
Without the slightest hesitation, Lin Wan placed the Perfect Man’s head against her own neck.
Wriggle! Wriggle! Wriggle!
The Rabbit’s regenerative ability activated immediately.
Flesh buds sprouted around her neck, writhing and twisting as they began stitching her severed head and body together.
After a short while, Lin Wan’s body jerked.
The head beneath the golden mask began to move again.
"Ah... Is this the power of the highest level?"
She slowly turned her head.
"The highest level... I... I, Lin Wan, have finally done it!"
Her voice echoed through the office, filled with madness, excitement, and even a trace of sorrow.
Lin Wan looked at everyone present.
"You! All of you, listen to me!"
She straightened her body, the golden mask gleaming beneath the lights.
"All company rules remain unchanged! Everything stays exactly as it was!"
Her voice rose with each word.
"And Long John! You must wait in my office every day. You are not allowed to leave my side—not even for a single step!"
Then she burst into hysterical laughter.
"Ahahaha! I’m the highest ruler now! I am!"
The head she had grafted onto her Rabbit body shook wildly as she laughed.
At that moment, Lin Wan—the woman who had spent her entire existence desperately climbing toward the top—had finally reached the highest position in the company.
Unfortunately, she had completely abandoned her humanity and betrayed the very beliefs that had once driven her.
"Damn it! Why does another exploiter always appear after we kill one?"
Wen Lan’s expression darkened.
"Do you want to become another one of them? Then die!"
She showed no mercy.
Her hooves struck the ground, and she rushed toward Lin Wan in just a few strides.
The sickle flashed toward Lin Wan’s head, slicing through the golden mask and the face beneath it as easily as cutting through tofu.
The mask split apart.
The face split apart.
But this time, the outcome was not as simple as it had been when they killed the Perfect Man.
The sickle spun through the air and flew away.
