Boom.

As the plane slowly climbed into the dark sky, Shen Yu lowered his gaze toward the shrinking city below.

The lights became smaller and smaller until they looked like scattered stars beneath the aircraft.

Yet instead of feeling excited about the journey ahead, Shen Yu felt an inexplicable pressure weighing down on his chest.

Something was wrong.

He couldn’t explain why.

There was no warning from the system.

No abnormal Yin fluctuation.

No obvious danger.

And yet—

His instincts kept telling him that something bad was about to happen.

Shen Yu narrowed his eyes and looked out through the window.

Nothing.

Only the endless darkness of the night sky.

His seat had been arranged in the very last corner of the cabin.

Perhaps because of the nature of his journey, the final three rows had deliberately been left empty.

That gave him plenty of space.

Unfortunately, it also meant that the voices of Yang Jin and Yun Han were impossible to ignore.

"Wow!"

"So this is what the inside of a plane looks like?"

Yun Han pressed herself against the window, her eyes wide with amazement.

"There are even screens!"

She looked around excitedly.

"If it weren’t for the fact that we’re already flying, I would want to experience the takeoff again."

She suddenly turned toward Yang Jin.

"Yang Jin, have you ever flown on one of these before?"

Yang Jin glanced at her.

"Are you kidding?"

"I’m the daughter of the director, after all."

"Of course I’ve flown."

"Oh."

Yun Han nodded seriously.

Then she immediately turned back toward the window.

"So amazing!"

Shen Yu rubbed his forehead.

These two could probably talk for the entire flight.

After a moment, he tapped the armrest beside him.

"Yang Jin."

"Hmm?"

"What do you think of Long Ao?"

Yang Jin paused.

Then she tilted her head thoughtfully.

"Long Ao?"

"He’s interesting."

"He has a very strong aura."

"Judging from the pressure surrounding him, he probably possesses at least an SS-Rank or even SSS-Rank dungeon item."

Shen Yu raised an eyebrow.

"You think that highly of him?"

"Of course."

Yang Jin smiled.

"He has definitely cleared at least one SSS-Rank dungeon."

"His potential is extremely high."

Shen Yu became thoughtful.

"Really?"

"Yes."

Yang Jin glanced at him.

"But if you want my detailed evaluation..."

She leaned closer.

"I don’t think he’s as good as you."

Shen Yu was slightly surprised.

"Why?"

"Because people like Long Ao think too much about the bigger picture."

"They’re good at planning."

"They’re good at controlling situations."

"But because they’re always looking at the entire board..."

Yang Jin smiled faintly.

"They sometimes overlook the smallest details."

Her eyes curved mischievously.

"You’re different."

"You notice little things."

"Especially when it comes to women."

Shen Yu’s expression instantly stiffened.

"Can we not talk about that?"

Yang Jin laughed.

"Why?"

"Are you embarrassed?"

"I’m not embarrassed."

"You are."

"I’m not."

"You definitely are."

Shen Yu sighed.

Why did every conversation with Yang Jin somehow become flirtatious?

Before he could respond—

"Snacks!"

"White snacks!"

A cheerful voice suddenly echoed from farther down the aisle.

Shen Yu looked up.

A tall flight attendant was pushing a mobile food cart toward them.

Tap.

Tap.

Tap.

Her black high heels struck the floor with every step.

She was nearly 1.8 meters tall, with an elegant figure and long, straight legs wrapped in black stockings.

Her posture was exceptionally graceful.

Her chin was slightly raised.

Her neck was long and elegant, resembling that of a proud swan.

She carried herself with an unmistakable air of confidence.

Yet the moment she passed Shen Yu’s row—

Her footsteps suddenly slowed.

She frowned slightly.

Something had caught her attention.

A scent.

Sweet.

Clean.

Almost intoxicating.

Her eyes instinctively shifted toward the man sitting alone in the corner.

Shen Yu was dressed simply in sportswear.

A mask covered most of his face.

His short hair was slightly messy from the flight.

But the exposed portion of his face was already enough to make the flight attendant’s heart beat faster.

His skin was unnaturally smooth.

His physique was lean and well-defined.

And beneath that ordinary appearance was a strange, almost irresistible charm.

The flight attendant’s breathing gradually became faster.

Her cheeks turned faintly red.

She didn’t understand what was happening to her.

She had served countless passengers.

She had met handsome men before.

But this man was different.

Something about him made her want to get closer.

The food cart stopped directly beside Shen Yu.

Cling.

The flight attendant nervously gripped the handle.

"Sir..."

"Sir, would you like to order something?"

Shen Yu didn’t even look at her.

"No need."

"Thank you."

The flight attendant froze.

She had expected him to at least glance at her.

Instead, his attention remained focused on the dark sky outside the window.

She hesitated.

Then forced a smile.

"Well..."

"We’re offering a half-price discount today."

"Would you like to take advantage of it?"

"No need."

Shen Yu politely declined.

The flight attendant’s cheeks became even redder.

"We can also provide dining assistance."

Shen Yu finally turned his head.

"Dining assistance?"

The flight attendant nodded.

Her voice became noticeably softer.

"Yes."

"It means..."

She swallowed.

"I can feed you."

Shen Yu stared at her.

"..."

The flight attendant’s courage suddenly increased.

She slowly pushed the cart aside and reached for the empty seat beside him.

But before she could sit—

"I’ll just come out."

Yang Jin’s furious voice suddenly exploded beside Shen Yu.

Shen Yu’s expression changed.

He immediately understood.

Jealous.

Extremely jealous.

Yang Jin’s eyes narrowed dangerously.

Shen Yu quickly placed one hand against the empty seat, blocking her from moving forward.

He gave the flight attendant an awkward smile.

"Sorry."

"Really."

"No need."

The flight attendant hesitated.

Then, unwilling to give up, she asked shyly,

"Then..."

"Can I add you on WeChat?"

Shen Yu immediately shook his head.

"I have a girlfriend."

The flight attendant’s expression froze.

"Oh."

She lowered her head.

"Sorry."

But after a moment, she raised her eyes again.

"Can I still add you?"

Shen Yu stared at her in disbelief.

"Even though I have a girlfriend?"

The flight attendant nodded innocently.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because..."

Her voice became smaller.

"I just want to be friends."

Shen Yu sighed.

"Sorry."

He refused again.

This time, the flight attendant finally gave up.

The excitement in her eyes disappeared.

Her almond-shaped eyes became slightly watery, filled with unmistakable grievance.

She stared at Shen Yu for several seconds.

Then reluctantly pushed the cart away.

Tap.

Tap.

Tap.

Her footsteps gradually disappeared toward the rear of the cabin.

Shen Yu watched her leave.

Then slowly turned his head.

Yang Jin was staring at him.

Her expression was terrifyingly calm.

Shen Yu’s heart skipped a beat.

"...What?"

Yang Jin smiled.

"Nothing."

"Really?"

"Really."

Her smile became even sweeter.

"After we land..."

"We’ll have a little talk."

Shen Yu’s mouth twitched.

For some reason—

That sounded far more frightening than anything waiting for him at his destination.

Beside them, Yun Han blinked innocently.

"Why does it feel like something scary is about to happen?"

Shen Yu silently looked out the window.

He suddenly had a bad feeling about the entire trip.

And this time—

His instincts were screaming even louder.
