Death… And Me
Chapter 4567: The Way Back
The way back to Besgol wasn’t particularly difficult. First of all, after spending several decades there, the twins’ group had developed a considerable resistance to Godly Pressure. They weren’t immune to it like Zandal, Azerion, and Coyui were, but it affected them far less than it did the cultivators who had spent their entire lives in Besgol.
As a result, the Godly Creatures that attempted to stop their journey were hardly a threat. Against the twins’ group, most of them couldn’t do much more than delay their progress for a few moments before being dealt with.
The journey was even easier because not a single Godly Horror appeared along the way. As always, that level of Godly Creature was extremely difficult to find, even in the Godly Creatures’ Territories. It remained quite a mystery how Woster had attracted so many of them despite being such an isolated place.
Rean had his own theory about it. He believed the answer was the extraordinary concentration of Godly Pressure inside Woster. Godly Creatures seemed to have no trouble entering the place, and since concentrated Godly Pressure was actually beneficial to them, the environment naturally acted like a beacon for higher-level creatures. The stronger the pressure became, the more attractive Woster would be to those creatures.
In any case, the journey back to Besgol only took two weeks, even with their entire entourage aboard the airplane. The presence of three additional cultivators naturally made them easier for Godly Creatures to notice, but that hardly mattered when it came to actual combat. The difference in strength between the travelers and the creatures they encountered was simply too large.

During the decades that the Elite Exploration Group had been away, quite a few things had happened in Besgol. For starters, a new Law God expert had appeared, becoming the fourth Law God in the region. Just like the other two before him, he had managed to use his Godly Apex Crystal to achieve the breakthrough.
After Arcis left, Besgol had been left with only three Law Gods. With the arrival of this new expert, an Angel Beast named Kanmro, they once again had four. That extra Law God brought a considerable amount of stability to the region, especially considering the uncertainty surrounding the twins’ group and Arcis.
Of course, Tobao was still the only one among them above the Initial Stage. The other three had only recently broken through, meaning they would need many years, perhaps much longer, before they could even seriously consider reaching the Middle Stage.
—
Tobao was in his monastery, going through his usual routine alongside the other monks, when his RC suddenly sent him a notification. He had configured it many years ago to alert him whenever either Arcis’s RC signal or one of the twins’ RC signals was detected within the Besgol Network.
Until that moment, the only member of the expedition he knew for certain was still alive was Arcis. After all, Arcis had left his Soul Flame behind before departing, and its continued existence was proof that he had survived.
Tobao’s expression immediately changed when he saw the notification. He had spent years wondering what had happened to the twins’ group, and the fact that Arcis had never returned with them had only made his worries worse.
Something terrible must have happened during their exploration, or so he had assumed. The Natak Region had contacted him many times during the first few years as well, mainly because they had been unable to establish contact with Thery’s group either. Now, after so many decades of silence, a signal had finally appeared.
Without wasting another moment, Tobao called Arcis. ’Amithaba, amithaba... so you haven’t forgotten that your home exists after all...’
Arcis bitterly smiled on the other side of the call. -Things didn’t go as planned initially. However, we did obtain quite a few rewards during this Elite Exploration. Gather the new guys. We have much to discuss. I also brought some guests with me.-
’Guests?’ Tobao was taken aback. His curiosity immediately intensified. ’Could it be that you found that so-called Woster Thery mentioned? Was there anyone still alive in there?’
-As I said, I will explain everything when we meet. We will arrive in Jufafner Country in an hour or so. Use the teleport array to get there,- Arcis explained, clearly unwilling to spoil the story over the RC.
Tobao could only sigh at the response. Naturally, it made him even more curious. ’Then we will meet you there.’
Just before ending the call... ’Welcome back.’
Arcis nodded slightly. ’It is good to be home.’
—
Back in the airplane, Azerion, Coyui, and Zandal suddenly felt the Godly Pressure disappear without a trace. "So this is the power of the Sacred Relic you mentioned..."
Kentucky nodded. "Godly Creatures constantly attack the regions with the intention of destroying the Relic. But it is exactly because the Relics possess this kind of power that we can fight back against them."
Zandal frowned, clearly dissatisfied with what he had just experienced. "This won’t do. How can you expect to become immune to Godly Pressure if you live inside this bubble all the time? No wonder you become weak every time you go outside."
Arcis immediately glared at him. "Do you think we haven’t thought about that before? There simply isn’t enough Godly Pressure outside to cause any meaningful changes. Many experiments have been carried out over the years, but no one ever gained even an iota of Godly Pressure resistance or adaptation from them."
Rean nodded in agreement. "Senior Arcis is right. The Godly Pressure in Woster was many times higher than what we normally experience in Besgol. It was so concentrated that it forced our bodies to adapt, even though we still didn’t become completely immune like you three."
"You were born and raised under that environment for countless generations. That’s why your bodies became completely adapted to Godly Pressure. Unless we can find some source of incredibly concentrated Godly Pressure, there is simply no way to force the same kind of adaptation we went through, let alone achieve the immunity possessed by Woster’s native cultivators."
Zandal pondered those words for a moment. "Godly Pressure concentration, huh? Godly Creatures seem to have a lot of it stored in their bodies, especially Godly Horrors. Alright, it is decided. Once we get everything organized, I’m going to gather a few Godly Horrors and lock them close to each other to create a small area with highly concentrated Godly Pressure."
He became increasingly interested in his own idea. "We can start everyone’s adaptation there while we figure out some other method of gathering and concentrating Godly Pressure."
"You said your arrays are many times more advanced than the arrays back in Woster, right? We can start with that as well. If we can figure out how to manipulate the pressure properly, we might be able to make the process even more efficient."
Flugel sighed. "We would love to do that. Unfortunately, we don’t know of any arrays capable of controlling Godly Pressure. We still don’t know how the ancient arrays in Woster absorbed and kept such an enormous amount of Godly Pressure trapped inside. That was one of the things I wanted to investigate, but ultimately, you guys were doing even worse than us on the arrays knowledge side."
Before Zandal could continue, several airplanes had begun joining Rean’s airplane as they traveled back toward Besgol. One after another, they approached from different directions, maintaining a respectful distance while following along the same route.
Azerion, Coyui, and Zandal all looked outside in surprise. "So many of them... Did your region send all of its airplanes to meet us here?"
Flugel shook his head. "That is nothing. They are likely just some weaker cultivators who happened to be around this area on their own missions for the Godly Subjugation Guild and other organizations. Their airplane models are also quite old compared to even my own. As for their numbers, this isn’t even 0.001% of all the privately owned airplanes in Besgol, let alone the airplanes belonging to guilds and other organizations."
He paused briefly before adding, "There are literally millions of them."
Zandal took a deep breath. "Millions... And I suffered so much just to get one of the few hundred airplanes that exist in the entire Woster."
Rean couldn’t help but smile at the sight. "You will have plenty of chances to get faster, stronger, and bigger ones once you get there. For now, let’s just enjoy our return."
