Chapter 3754: Flash!
Chapter 3754: Flash!
Rean was given a little clock, although it didn’t point out the hours of the day in the Underworld. Instead, it had a thousand hours and counted down until the Banishing Light was released by all twelve Light Spreaders. It seemed like this was a pretty common item that you could acquire everywhere in Universe D33.
Upon checking the time, it was indeed seven and a half hours before the Banishing Light was activated. Rean glanced at Roan and Kentucky, the two understood his thoughts.
’Should we enter our Dimensional Realm when the time comes?’ Kentucky asked. ’I definitely don’t want to turn out like these Devils. How can I say... It feels like these Devils aren’t themselves. It wouldn’t be a good thing if we turned like them.’
’However, we need to test it.’ Roan wasn’t willing to let it pass that easily. ’Besides, I refuse to believe this is something that simple to avoid. If it were, there would be plenty of experts who used their Pocket Dimensional Realms to prevent the light from hitting them.’
’Hey!’ Foliana quickly spoke from within the Dimensional Realm. ’If that’s the case, aren’t Zangeshu, Tanxan, and I in danger here?’
[I can’t guarantee your safety,] Sister Orb joined. [After all, I don’t know what this Banishing Light is about. I highly doubt it is simply related to Light Element or similar. That said, I don’t know if the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm can keep the light out. On the other hand, our Dimensional Realm is completely different from any other Pocket Dimensional Realm. Its protection is also unmatched. If there is a safe place against this Banishing Light, it is likely here.]
[As for Rean, Roan, Kentucky, and Celis, they have their souls protected by the Celestial Soul System. If this is something related to the soul, the system should protect them.]
Kentucky then looked in the direction of the Groman Abyss, from where they came. ’We still have time. We can go to the Abyssal Path and leave this Universe.’
’But that would also mean giving up on the system’s quest,’ Rean shook his head. ’I don’t think the system would have brought us here if we couldn’t resist that thing.’
’Makes sense... Alright," Kentucky still hasn’t got his answer. ’Who will stay out to test the Banishing Light?’
’I’ll do it,’ Celis volunteered. ’Rean is the best of us when the topic is the soul, memories, and such. If something goes wrong, he must keep his mind in check and then help me and the others who are affected by the Light. As for Kentucky, if there is a need to flee, he is the fastest, so he has to keep his mind as well. Last but not least, Roan is the strongest, so it would be a terrible idea to have him turn on us if this Banishing Light does something to him.’
Rean, Roan, and Kentucky nodded. Celis was indeed the best option for it. ’Alright, Celis. We will let you know when the time approaches.’
Outside, Rean continued to talk to Tarie and her companions. However, he refrained from making any more suspicious questions, just in case. He would find more about this Universe once they got to the capital. He didn’t even ask what the name of the capital was.
Kentucky flashed into the distance, sometimes even catching the eyes of a few devils on the way who had cultivation high enough to notice him. It didn’t make sense to try to hide since Tarie’s group was there as well.
Another thing that caught the twins’ group’s eyes was the average cultivation level of the Devils. The concentration of Divine Energy was much higher than in F956 or 974, let alone Lisan. Not to mention the Divine Origin Energy that existed here. That said, they were seeing Transition Realm and above Devils pretty much everywhere, be they Devil Beasts or normal Devils.
In the next seven hours, they literally passed by another two Divinity Realm Divine Senses, although both were in the Initial Stage as well. Space-Time Realm? At least twenty! For such a small distance to have so many high-level experts shows the difference such a Universe can make to its population. One can only wonder what the Higher-Ranked Universes were like.
Looking at the timer, Rean saw it approaching the last few minutes, so he had Kentucky come down from the skies and land on a hill. There were some low-level Devil Beasts around, but they avoided the twins’ group.
"Alright, everyone, the meal is ready," Rean spoke with a smile.
"Meal?" Tarie and the other two got confused. "What meal? We don’t need food at our level."
"I know," Rean continued. "But it doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy some. I’ll bring you guys inside my Pocket Dimensional Realm. The fact that we can have such good moments is all thanks to the Light of the Provider, so we should definitely not let it go."
Tarie’s group was about to refuse, but Rean’s words made them stop midway. "Well... if you say so..."
’This Light of the Provider shit seems very convenient to use,’ Rean thought for a moment. The female Devils didn’t doubt for a second about Rean’s intentions, allowing them to be brought into the Dimensional Realm. Then, waving his hand, he made everyone disappear.
At the same time, Celis appeared outside, checking the clock that Rean had left for him. "Two minutes, uh?"
Inside the Dimensional Realm, a banquet had already been prepared. You could definitely count on Sister Orb at these moments. She didn’t take care of an entire sect in the past for nothing. Of course, she didn’t appear; only Rean, Roan, and Kentucky were there. "Come on, these are all for us. Make sure to not waste anything."
Tarie and the others nodded, and they began to feast. "Praise the Light of the Provider."
As Tarie’s group ate, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky joined them. However, their focus was entirely on Celis outside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm.
Finally, the clock hit zero, and for an instant, a flash covered the world!
