Chapter 3596: Land
Chapter 3596: Land
They could have waited more for Jangalo to have recovered a greater part of his Divine Energy, but th fact was that Shonror and the others didn’t want it. To prevent more problems, they only allowed those few hours, and then they pressed forward.
Well, the end of this journey was still out of sight. Just five days went by, and Jangalo was once again running out of energy. Now, the eyes on the twins’ group really turned weird. How could Jangalo run out of energy twice while experts at Rean’s level were still carrying on?
In fact, it wasn’t just Jangalo. In the next few days after that, Rifindio was also forced to stop and use Rean’s help to recover his energy. Then, as one could imagine, Elsie followed. Her reserves of Divine Energy weren’t much different from Jangalo. It’s just that she arrived last in this region, so she had more to use at that moment in her core.
Rean didn’t mind and simply continued to do the same thing. They stopped, he shielded whoever needed it, and they recovered. It mattered not if the Divinity Realm experts were skeptical of how much Divine Energy Rean and the other three had.
But then... two months passed! Two months! From the time they arrived in this region, over three months had gone by. Now, the Divinity Realm Experts began to struggle, especially those in the Initial and Middle Stages.
Rean helped them but also warned. "If we need to stop for two three hours every time one of you guys runs out of Divine Energy, we won’t go much further. After all, the rest are still using their Divine Energy to hold their platform shields while we aren’t moving."
Shonror, seeing Rean shield one of his companions, couldn’t help but speak out. "Just what the hell are you four? You, the guy who looks just like you, the bird, and even that demon plant. How can your Divine Energy last this long?"
Rean faintly smiled. "Isn’t that obvious? We have much higher reserves of Divine Energy in our Dantians and Cores."
"Don’t try to fool me, kid," Shonror complained. "That’s exactly what I want to know. How are your cores and dantians’ capacity this huge?"
Roan snorted before Rean could answer. "Hmph! Who the hell would tell you? If I ask you about your secrets, will you tell us? What an idiot."
Normally, Shonror would explode in anger. However, this time, he just narrowed his eyes. He could become angry with ants as they simply didn’t matter. Now, however, his instincts were telling him the twins’ group was definitely not just ants. "So be it. I have my eyes on you four."
Rean shrugged. "Suit yourself."
The journey continued once again, and the experts’ heads began to think about what Rean warned. They had to stop too many times, and each time Rean helped someone, the others had to continue using their own energy even in that stuck position. The worst part was the giant waves that appeared now and then. After all, they always had to use a lot of Divine Energy to run away from them.
Fortunately, things changed just as they were about to spend four months in this region.
"Hey, look!"
After so many monsters and waves for four months, they finally saw something different. In the distance, a piece of land appeared, and it slowly grew in their vision. The gray light line that the sphere was following also pointed in that same direction.
Surprisingly, they also saw a few more similar gray light lines in the distance, coming from different directions. They didn’t need to think much to understand that other teams were going through the same process as them. As for the things ahead, no one knows if they were one of the first teams here or if they are quite late.
The temperature began to decrease drastically. At the same time, the Yang Energy that could harm the body seemed to be unable to enter the land. That obviously caused quite a few sighs of relief. The whole team was running out of energy, including those in the Peak Stage of the Divinity Realm.
"Finally out of that shit place..." Meconth looked behind, the molten ocean growing further and further away.
"What now?" Shonror asked the obvious. "Should we just stop and go our own ways?"
"Can we do that?" Sesahi looked around. The sphere’s barrier was still there. "The sphere hasn’t stopped moving, and the barrier will not let us get away from the sphere range."
"For that, I have an idea," Fetesgau spoke. "The energy inside the sphere was being used to attack the monsters, right? Well, there are no more monsters, so just have Celis send random attacks everywhere until the sphere gets completely out of energy. It shouldn’t be able to keep this barrier around itself, and we will be able to leave."
"That sounds like a good idea," Meconth and the others quite liked it.
Celis, however, not so much. "If you want to do it, then do it yourself. Operating this sphere to shoot such powerful attacks costs quite a bit of Divine Energy."
"That’s not really the problem here," Roan joined. "The sphere hasn’t stopped moving yet. Besides, is the energy in the sphere really used only to attack those monsters? I would rather we see where this sphere will stop first. The gray light line it is following still extends further ahead. We might actually be putting ourselves into unnecessary danger."
"But we can’t continue to waste our Divine Energy like this," Sesahi commented. "No, wait! Actually, we can simply stop and recover our reserves now! The temperature and the yang energy aren’t a problem anymore."
"So... should we continue inside the sphere, locked here?" Riraru narrowed his eyes.
"I’ll be honest," Royer gave his piece. "Is the barrier this sphere created really made to keep us inside? I know it is preventing us from getting away from the sphere, but what if it was made to actually protect us from whatever is ahead? I vote for us to see where the sphere is going. If it turns out there is nothing ahead, we can all work together to use all the sphere’s accumulated energy and then go our separate ways. What do you all say?"
There was silence for a moment, but it would be too late to regret later if they were wrong, so even Shonror and Sesahi nodded. "Very well, let’s continue inside. But first, let’s stop and recover our energy while the environment permits it."
"No objection!"
Too bad... they didn’t get even ten minutes to do that before they were forced to move again.
