42: You Are Going To Be Cucked

  • Next Chapter

A sport motorcycle like the Suzuki Hayabusa starts at over $18,000. In Japan, where the median annual salary is around $30,000, it is considered an expensive purchase. Surprisingly, Meiko didn't think twice about buying one even though she was just a student.

Natsuo and Meiko both bought one and agreed with the salesperson to have the motorcycles delivered to their respective addresses before leaving the dealership.

When they left, Meiko told him a little about her family after noticing that he was staring at her strangely when she paid for the motorcycle upfront. Her family was quite wealthy, and it seemed that the majority of the students at her school also came from elite and well-off families.

Her school, Hachimitsu Academy, was quite famous. It had been around since 1961, and even Natsuo had heard of it. After learning more about her school, he felt that it was only natural for someone like her to come from a wealthy family.

'Recently, I've been meeting nothing but rich girls,' Natsuo thought as he remembered the pink haired woman who had sold him the house at a ridiculously cheap price.

He glanced at Meiko and suddenly had a thought. If she was rich, then why had she been taking the subway? Could it be that she was deliberately luring harassers into attacking her so she could beat them up?

'As expected of a sadist!'

"What's with that gaze? Why do I have this feeling that you're thinking about something rude?" Meiko glanced at him and leaned closer, staring directly into his eyes.

"I am not. Do you know that there is something called personal space that you shouldn't just invade?" Natsuo rudely pushed her face away.

He had noticed something just now. This girl didn't seem to have any concept of personal space or modesty between different sexes. She had absolutely no problem rubbing her breasts against him, pressing her face close to his like this, and doing many other things that would normally make people feel embarrassed.

The puzzling thing was that she didn't seem to realize how lewd her actions were, despite having such a sinful body.

"Am I bothering you? Sorry." Meiko tilted her head, with her index finger touching her cheek cutely, then apologized earnestly.

"It's still early. Want to go somewhere else?" Natsuo felt that she looked really cute right now. He was honestly reluctant to part with her so quickly. After all, he was a man with desires.

Who wouldn't want to spend more time with such a sexy woman like her?

...

"So you are saying that the red orb will trigger a mana calamity?" Sauros Boreas Greyrat sat in the main seat, holding his staff with both hands as he spoke to his daughter-in-law, Hilda, who was standing beside her husband.

Despite being old, Sauros had a very large, muscular build and an imposing appearance. He had long black and grey hair tied back and a large moustache, making him look rough and intimidating, especially when combined with his loud voice.

The next day, after he returned, Hilda came to him and told him about the calamity that was expected to happen in four years.

"Yes," Hilda answered him calmly. Everyone in the house respected Sauros, and Hilda did as well, but she also harbored a deep resentment toward him. It was his stupid rules that had caused her to lose her two sons. She hated him almost as much as she hated her brother-in-law, James, who had forcefully taken her sons away.

"And you are saying that a person you met before had told you about this?" Sauros closed his eyes and pondered for a long time before asking again.

He had been very concerned about the red sphere that had appeared in the sky of his territory about a year ago. However, since nothing had happened even after an entire year, he had started to feel that perhaps things were not as bad as he had initially thought. He could only hope that things wouldn't turn out to be too serious.

So when he heard Hilda say that the red sphere was actually going to trigger a mana calamity, he had no choice but to take her words seriously, even if there was a possibility that she was lying or talking bullshit.

"Yes, Natsuo told me," Hilda nodded.

"Natsuo? What a weird name. And how did he come to this conclusion? He must have shown you something for you to believe him," Sauros twirled his long moustache around his finger and asked in his unusually deep and loud voice.

His son, Philip, hadn't spoken this whole time. Whenever his father was speaking or thinking, it was better not to interrupt him. He didn't want to be sent flying with a punch this early in the morning.

"Because Natsuo has a special ability that allows him to foresee certain events in the future, he said that in four years, the whole region will be enveloped by a mana calamity and everyone will be teleported," Hilda started telling the bullshit she had prepared beforehand.

"Natsuo came from a small island country called Japan, far away from here. Unfortunately, that country was completely destroyed by a similar mana calamity, and he was the only survivor. He has been traveling all over the world looking for his family members."

"Such a thing actually happened? What a pitiful guy." Although Sauros didn't completely believe her story, it wasn't that he didn't trust Hilda. Rather, he was still skeptical of this man called Natsuo. "So you're saying he has some ability to predict the future, and he used it to see what would happen in my region?"

"Yes, he happened to pass by the Fittoa Region and used his ability," Hilda continued to bullshit her father-in-law with a straight face. "He told me that back then, he had warned his own people, but they didn't believe him. He regretted that he hadn't tried harder to convince them."

"When he saw the sphere in the sky, he decided to try and help us."

"Hmm... Did he say if there was any way to stop this calamity from happening?" Sauros asked.

"No." Hilda shook her head. In fact, she had been thinking about this matter for a while now, but she couldn't think of any way to stop the calamity.

The calamity had started because someone from 80 years in the future had attempted to bring someone from another world into this one. The world itself had resisted her attempt, but somehow, Rudeus's soul had managed to pass through and come into this world. That had disturbed the balance, ultimately causing Nanahoshi to be brought into this world as well.

This was something that involved world-level power. Perhaps only someone like Orsted could truly stop the calamity.

She felt that four years was plenty of time. If she used the Chat Group, earned more rewards, and traveled to other worlds, she might be able to solve this problem. However, even if she failed, she wouldn't be particularly saddened if the Fittoa Region were completely destroyed.

If it really happened, then it would serve her father-in-law and James right! It wasn't as if she or her husband were the ones who would be ruling the Fittoa Region anyway. It should be that scum James's problem.

Didn't he like to scheme and plot? She wanted to see what kind of plot he would be able to come up with from that disgusting head of his.

"Father-in-law, Natsuo said that you will also be executed because they will need a scapegoat to take the blame, and you are the lord of this territory." Hilda dropped another bombshell to make Sauros take her more seriously. "I hope you can make some preparations for the worst-case scenario. Even if it turns out to be a lie, it wouldn't hurt to be prepared."

"Indeed, even if the possibility is only one percent, we should still take some countermeasures." Sauros felt that his daughter-in-law had somehow become smarter and more competent. He scratched his chin before asking, "Where is this guy called Natsuo? I want to meet him."

"He went somewhere. He is still looking for his family members, but he gave me an address where I can send him a letter. I'll send him a letter later and ask him to come meet you," Hilda lied once again without blinking. "Right, he also wanted me to give you this. He said that this could make our territory much richer if implemented correctly."

Suddenly, she took out a rolled piece of paper and unrolled it across the long table.

"Oh? What is this? Railroad? Train? Coal engine?" Sauros stood up, and Philip also moved closer. They studied the long paper and its blueprint, and both of them became astonished by the design and the idea.

"Although the investment will be huge, the revenue will be much, much larger. It could boost trade and travel, and it could also be used for evacuation if something really were to happen in the future," Hilda calmly explained.

She had many more ideas she could implement in this world, ideas she had brought from Kana's world thanks to the internet. She gave all the credit to Natsuo anyway. After all, no one here knew who he was.

As for how he would come to her world, she had obtained a World Travel Ticket as her mission's reward. She could give it to him and have him come to her world to spend some time with her. She could even try to matchmake him with Eris too!

She would use the money she made from all of this to buy him everything he wanted too!

"Amazing!" Philip's eyes brightened, and he exclaimed loudly, "This idea is ingenious! The potential benefits are huge!"

He held his chin and frowned. "But it seems that the cost would be enormous too."

"Even with earth mages, it would take years to build such long railways," Sauros nodded, but he still felt that it was worth the effort. "I need to think about this matter for a while longer."

"Hilda, you did a great job this time. Your contributions are immense. Thank you." He turned to Hilda and thanked her sincerely.

Ai: [So you guys can really use magic?]

Kana: [Yes! I can use the strongest magic here, Explosion Magic!]

Ai: [Whoa! That sounds amazing!]

Chelsea: [What's the use of stupid magic like that? You become useless after using it once. Natsuo and Hilda are much more practical!]

Kana: [What do you know? Explosion is the one and only true magic! The beautiful explosions are really beautiful! I can blast a rock apart with just one magic spell!]

Hilda: [That's pathetic, you know? An Intermediate Magic spell can do the same. Your mana pool is probably so pitiful that you can't even deal any meaningful damage. Natsuo said that he has already learned a couple of Intermediate Magic spells.]

Ai: [So Yusuke is amazing?]

Kana: [His name is Natsuo! Why do you keep getting his name wrong?]

Chelsea: [Where is @Natsuo? He isn't responding.]

Kana: [Maybe he's seducing another girl. You'll soon be cucked, Chelsea!]
