34: Catching A Mistress

"I couldn't say anything after hearing that." Rui glanced up at Natsuo as she spoke. He was staring up at the ceiling, his hands submerged in the water above his waist as if he were trying to hide something. However, because of the darkness, she couldn't clearly see what it was.

"That's so typical of Hina. She's barely an adult, yet she's trying to use her experience and adulthood to push you away." Natsuo suddenly chuckled and looked at Rui with a smile. "It must've been hard on you all this time, Rui."

"Hmm, I'm sorry, Natsuo." Rui felt her face heating up. She suddenly scooped up some water with both hands and splashed it over her face before apologizing to him.

"What are you apologizing for?" Natsuo asked, confused.

"Because of what Hina-nee said, I did that thing with you. I wanted to understand the feelings she was talking about," Rui explained in a low voice.

The time she ran into Natsuo at that mixer was the day after she had confronted her sister. After learning about Hina's relationship, Rui had become curious about what love really felt like. In the end, she had asked Natsuo to sleep with her, thinking that if she experienced intimacy with someone herself, she might finally be able to understand the feelings her sister had been talking about.

In a sense, she had been just using him.

"Oh, it's not a big deal to me." Natsuo wanted to point out that they probably shouldn't be discussing things like this while both of them were naked in a bathroom. Things could easily escalate, and he wasn't exactly confident in his own willpower. "I have an important question."

"What is it?"

"Did it feel good?" Natsuo asked seriously.

"...I don't know... That was my first time." Rui tilted her head, wearing a thoughtful expression before answering calmly.

"..." Natsuo felt somewhat hurt. Fortunately, Chelsea and Kana weren't around; otherwise, they would have been laughing their asses off right now. It wasn't his fault at all. It had been his first time, and he had been nervous.

He wasn't some hentai protagonist who could make a woman orgasm just by pinching her nipples!

"She cried again, right?" Rui asked.

"Yeah."

"Did you tell her anything?" Rui asked with a hopeful look.

"No, she didn't seem like she wanted to talk. I only comforted her." Natsuo shook his head. When he saw the disappointed look on Rui's face, he quickly added, "But don't worry. I have a way to make her break up with that man."

Before reading the manga, he had thought that he should first observe the situation before deciding whether to make a move. But now, with Rui by his side and knowing how things would happen in the future, it would be easy to make the two of them break up.

A relationship like that should just end. The sooner it did, the better.

"Really?" Rui looked hopeful and leaned closer, placing her hand on his knee. She leaned so close that her entire body was pressed against him, her face only a few inches away.

"Hey, what are you doing?!"

"Do you really have a way?!" Rui ignored his protest and asked again.

"Yes, I do! Now get away from me!"

"Why are you reacting like this? It's not like we haven't done it before."

"It's precisely because we did it before! Get away, or I'll end up making a mistake!"

"A mistake? What do you mean?"

"That's none of your business. Hurry and get away from me!"

"Alright... Ah!"

Splash!

When Rui tried to move away from him, her hand slipped, and she fell on top of him, her face pressed against his chest as she ended up sitting on his thighs. She looked up at him and said, "Sorry... Hmm? What is this hard thing poking me?"

She reached down and touched something thick, long, and hard. She squeezed it with her palm before glancing at Natsuo. For some reason, his face seemed to be getting scary, and his breathing had grown heavier.

"Get out right now!"

Walking out of the bathroom, Natsuo wiped his body with a towel, glancing down at his little one, which had finally calmed down, with a complicated look. "I didn't think I could hold out that long. My willpower has gotten stronger, heh."

The temptation earlier had been far too dangerous. If Rui had stayed for even a little longer, he might have really become a Sister Leveler!

"Wear something. You're coming with me." When he stepped into the living room, he saw Rui sitting on the sofa, watching TV.

"Where?" Rui asked, glancing at him.

"To make your sister break up with her boyfriend," Natsuo answered calmly.

Swoosh!

As soon as he finished speaking, Rui burst out of the living room and raced up the stairs, leaving a gust of wind behind her. Natsuo blinked several times. For a moment, he had the strange illusion that Rui had been even faster than Gotou just now.

A couple of minutes later, Rui came back down the stairs, wearing a hoodie, a skirt, and a beanie. She stopped in front of him and said, "Let's go!"

The two of them left the house. As they walked, Rui asked him, "Where are we going?"

"To catch your sister red-handed," Natsuo said with a smirk. He hailed a taxi and gave the driver the address.

The coffee shop, L'Amant, was where Natsuo's best friend, Fumiya Kurimoto, worked as a waiter. It was also the place Hina and her boyfriend often visited.

'It's strange that, out of all the coffee shops in the city, they just happened to regularly visit L'Amant... Coincidence? I think not!' Natsuo felt that the plot in this story was getting a little too thick.

Ring!

"Yo! Everyone!" Natsuo walked into the coffee shop, waved with a smile, and greeted everyone.

"Yo."

"It's Natsuo-kuun!"

"Hey, Natsuo-chan. Welcome."

Aside from his fat friend, Fumiya Kurimoto, the other two people working there were Ayano and the owner, Masaki Kobayashi.

"Sup, Fumiya." Natsuo walked inside with Rui quietly following behind him, looking around curiously. He then greeted the others. "How are you doing, Kobayashi-san, Ayano-san?"

"Jeez... Haven't I always told you to call me Marie? M.A.R.I.E!" Kobayashi leaned against the counter with a pout.

Kobayashi had long, curly black hair tied into a ponytail and a lightly trimmed mustache. He was gay, the kind of gay who liked taking infinite backshots, and he really liked it when others addressed him as Marie. Natsuo hadn't known much about him before, but now he knew that this gay coffee shop owner was actually a yakuza, the son of the head of a yakuza group.

"If I can get free coffee whenever I come here, I'll call you Marie, Maria, Marina, Molina, or whatever name you want," Natsuo said casually as he sat down.

"Damn brat!" Kobayashi glared at him.

"You know, Kobayashi-san..." Natsuo gestured for Rui to sit next to him before turning toward the gay yakuza boss. "I think what you've done is actually brilliant. To develop in your mind the belief that you're something you're not, and then actually go through with it, takes some damn powerful determination. You could've been anything you wanted to be if you really put your mind to it."

"Hmm, thanks, I guess?" Kobayashi tilted his head and rested a hand against his cheek. Natsuo's words were clearly meant as praise, but why did it feel like he was being mean at the same time? Shaking his head, Kobayashi decided not to think too much about it. He pointed at Rui and asked, "Who is this? Your girlfriend?"

"She's my sister. Her name is Rui," Natsuo introduced her.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Rui Tachibana." Rui gave him a nod before looking around, searching for Hina and her boyfriend.

"So she's your sister?" Fumiya stared at her, admiring her beauty before finally reacting. "Wait! Your sister?!!! Since when did you have a sister?!"

"It's a long story." Natsuo held Rui's hand and looked at her with an affectionate expression, his eyes slightly wet. He wiped his eyes and said, "She's actually my twin sister, but we were accidentally swapped at birth. We thought she had died, and it was only a few days ago that we discovered we were siblings."

"..." Rui gave him a blank look.

"Rui-chan!" Kobayashi started tearing up, wiping his tears with his sleeves. "You must've suffered so much! Pitiful child. From now on, if you want something, just come to me, Marie, and I'll help you. Hmm... I'll even give you a 1% discount."

"Tsk! Stingy!" Both Rui and Natsuo clicked their tongues at the same time.

"She's really your twin sister? You don't look alike at all!" Ayano's head suddenly slipped between them. She placed a hand on each of their shoulders and stared at their faces, comparing them.

"I'm his stepsister," Rui said calmly.

"I knew it! How could Natsuo have such a cute sister?!" Fumiya immediately exclaimed, but then his expression changed. "Wait! His stepsister?!"

"Since when did you have a stepsister?!"

"Since two days ago." Natsuo shrugged and explained to them what had happened.

"Liar! Give me back my feelings, you scumbag!" Kobayashi pointed at Natsuo and shouted.

His shout was so loud that the customers in the shop started giving Natsuo strange looks.

"Hey, don't say things that can easily be misunderstood." Natsuo pushed his finger away and said with a disgusted look.

"Give me a latte," he ordered before asking Rui what she wanted. She ordered a parfait.

"What are we doing here?" Rui asked.

"Waiting for Hina to come," Natsuo answered before explaining the situation to her.

Hina usually came to this shop to meet and chat with her boyfriend. Apparently, the two of them mostly argued about when he was going to leave his wife. Her boyfriend would then appease her, promising that he would divorce his wife soon and asking Hina to wait just a little longer.

"So the couple having an affair are actually your stepsister and her boyfriend?!" Fumiya said in surprise. Since he worked here, he often ended up overhearing the customers' conversations, and because Hina was a beautiful woman, he had paid extra attention and learned quite a lot about her affair.

"So she's the mistress I was about to tell you about!"

"The mistress?" Rui asked.

"Ehem!" Fumiya cleared his throat before sitting down next to Natsuo. With a downcast expression and a soft voice, he asked, "What on earth... are we going to do now?"

"I am going to leave my wife." Natsuo averted his gaze and said, "But I can't do it right away."

"Bingo! How did you know?!" Fumiya slapped Natsuo on the shoulder and laughed.

"That's such a cliché line in dramas." Natsuo had heard this kind of line so many times whenever Hilda dragged him into watching dramas with her. "I can't believe people actually say it!"

"That's what you always say! You're not even thinking about a future with me, are you?!" Fumiya mimicked Hina's tone, raising his voice.

"That's not true." Natsuo looked away, as if he couldn't bring himself to look her in the eyes.

"Then when will we finally be able to be together?!" Fumiya shook him by the shoulders, raising his voice as he pretended to cry.

"W-well..."

"Dear! Who is this woman?!" Suddenly, Rui grabbed him from the other side and pointed at Fumiya.

"Uh-oh! Now the wife enters the scene!" Fumiya became excited.

"How dare you make a pass at my husband! You thieving fat cat!" Rui pointed at him and reached toward him with her other hand, as if she wanted to grab him by the hair.

"F-fat?! What was that?! You crazy woman! He is mine!"

"He is my husband! He is mine!

"Calm down! Don't fight over me! Actually... why don't we all just be together, the three of us?"

"What did you just say?!"

"Are you crazy?!"

"Scumbag!" x2

Ring!

Just then, the door of the coffee shop opened, and two people entered. They were Hina and Shū. As Hina followed the commotion and spotted the two of them, she looked surprised.

"Natsuo, Rui? What are you doing here?"
