21: Hilda The Son-Con
"We listen, and we don't judge!"
"I'll go first."
"There was this one time I went to buy my favorite ice cream. Great ice cream, by the way. Very good! I get in line, and there are only four left. Four! But I'm not worried, because there's only one child ahead of me. One child. How bad could it be?
So the kid gets to the counter, and what does he do? He orders all four ice creams! All of them. Then he turns around and smiles at me. A big smile. A very confident smile. Honestly, I've never seen anything like it.
At that moment, I said, 'You know what? I'm going to turn that smile upside down.'
So I became his teacher. Tremendous teacher... Very powerful teacher, believe me. And I made sure he failed. Again and again, it was horrible, horrible really. He kept failing, and failing, and failing. Frankly, it was unbelievable. Eventually, he had failed so many times that he had to leave school and start working odd jobs.
But here's the problem. He was still smiling.
Still smiling! After everything, this guy is walking around with this ridiculous smile on his face. So I waited. I waited and waited. Very patiently.
Then one day, I hired some thugs to break into his house, steal everything, and kill his parents. It was very sad, a really terrible situation. Then I framed him for the whole thing.
He gets sentenced to life in prison. You would think the smile would disappear, right? Wrong. He's still smiling. Tremendous, his smile.
So I made sure the other inmates took turns raping him until eventually he died. And even then, this guy was still smiling. Frankly, it was starting to get disrespectful.
Then they do the autopsy, and what do they discover?
The man had a permanent smiling disorder. It was first found by a guy named Dr. Harry Angelman, a tremendous guy, a great guy.
He had a permanent smiling disorder! Can you believe it?
That's when I realized, 'You know what? I may have overreacted.'
But who cares?"
It was late afternoon, and Shinjuku was bustling with activity. Countless people were walking through the streets, but Kana paid them little attention. She held her phone in her hand, her eyes glued to the screen while her mind drifted far away, occupied by thoughts of a certain man.
"What kind of sick, twisted shit are you watching? No wonder Natsuo-chan says your brain is rotting." Hilda, who had heard the reel playing, gazed at Kana's phone with disgust. Just what had this girl done to train her algorithm to become this twisted and degenerate?
"Oh, you'll get used to it pretty soon." Kana was very used to this reaction. Even her friends and family had said the same thing at first, but they eventually became just like her after she shared a couple hundred reels with them and trained their algorithms to look like hers.
She glanced at Hilda's mature, beautiful face before asking, "Hilda-san, what do you think of Natsuo?"
To be honest, when she learned that Hilda had become Natsuo's foster mother, she was quite shocked. Although she knew that Hilda was a son-con, it was still rather surprising.
"Natsuo-chan? He is, of course, such a good boy! So handsome, kind, gentle, smart, a genius, hardworking..." As soon as Hilda heard someone asking about Natsuo, she became unusually enthusiastic and fervent. She immediately began praising him, counting his good qualities on her fingers, but even using both hands wasn't enough.
To Hilda, Natsuo was the perfect son. He was so mature and considerate, always knew what to say and do, and was incredibly smart. He learned everything she taught him in a frighteningly short amount of time. He also knew how to make money so easily. He was the greatest son she could ever ask for!
'As expected of a son-con.' Kana put away her phone and stared at Hilda with a speechless look. But when she thought about it again, Hilda's praise might have been a little exaggerated, yet it wasn't too far from the truth. That bastard Natsuo was actually not that bad...
'What am I thinking?! Am I crazy?!' She quickly shook her head and slapped her cheeks.
"I am thinking of having him marry Eris." With one hand resting against her cheek, Hilda suddenly said it.
"Dafuq?!" Kana froze, her entire body going stiff. Before she could even realize it, the words had already escaped her mouth.
"What's wrong?" Hilda tilted her head in confusion. She couldn't understand why Kana was having such a strong reaction.
"Your daughter is still too young! How could you have her marry Natsuo?!" Kana felt as if something were being forcefully taken away from her, a strong sense of loss suddenly overwhelming her. She glared at Hilda and continued, "Isn't he your foster son? Doesn't that make her his stepsister?!"
Even though that guy had fucked his stepsister before and might even end up getting his older stepsister pregnant, that didn't mean he had to marry another stepsister! What the hell was wrong with Natsuo and all these stepsisters?!
"They aren't that far apart in age, only seven or eight years. And who cares if she's his stepsister or not?" Hilda felt that Kana was overreacting. In her world, people married as young as thirteen or fourteen, and noble families even arranged marriages between their children to keep their bloodlines pure.
She patted Kana's shoulder and said with an 'I have everything under control look', "I'm not going to have them marry right away. Let's just wait until both of them grow up."
Hilda had no problem with Natsuo marrying Eris or having other women as well. Her husband had been sleeping with the maids in the castle all the time, and she had never cared about it. Her father had done the same, and even her father-in-law had behaved the same way. The common sense of her world and this one were completely different, after all.
She loved her daughter, but she also felt that Eris was a troublesome child, and perhaps Natsuo could make her behave better. She was also very confident that Eris would come to love Natsuo. Her foster son was a very charming boy, after all.
"..." Kana felt that her logic couldn't get through Hilda's thick head. They clearly didn't share the same common sense at all. She wanted to say something, but suddenly, her expression changed as she frowned.
"There is a parasite. He's getting closer."
"Hello, beautiful ladies." A young man suddenly approached them. He was dressed in expensive, fashionable clothes and had remarkably handsome, delicate features.
"You two look troubled. I have some friends throwing a party. Want to come and have some fun?"
'It's him!' Because Kana had been too invested in talking with Hilda, she had failed to notice the parasite approaching them. By the time she realized it, the parasite had already struck up a conversation with them.
For some reason, she felt that this man's face looked somewhat familiar.
"Sure." Hilda exchanged a glance with Kana before agreeing with a smile.
The parasite smiled, even though his eyes remained cold, and led them somewhere. Along the way, he tried not to sound suspicious, casually explaining that the party wasn't far away and was being held at his friend's place.
By the time they stopped, they had reached an empty alley behind a tall building. The lights were off, apparently because the bulbs were broken, and there were no surveillance cameras in sight. The parasite found it rather strange that the two women hadn't asked a single question, but he simply assumed they were another pair of stupid women who had fallen for his handsome appearance.
This had happened many times before. It was amazing just how many women would follow a strange man anywhere simply because he was good looking. The last time, he had even taken a woman to a dumpster, and she hadn't suspected anything until he transformed.
The name he used was Hideo Shimada. He was slightly different from other parasites.
Although he fed on humans, he was actively trying to integrate himself into human society. He had the body of a teenager and attended school as a student. Aside from the times when he went hunting for food, he spent most of his time pretending to be a normal human.
Lately, he had been spending time with Reiko Tamura. Although he often found her thoughts somewhat too abstract for him to fully understand, he still followed her orders without question.
"This is the place?" The parasite heard Kana's voice behind him. He turned around, intending to finish off his prey, but instead, he was met with two guns pointed directly at him. His expression changed, but he was too late to react.
Kana and Hilda pulled the triggers.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Hilda and Kana repeatedly pulled the triggers, riddling his body with bullets. When they finally stopped, the man's upper body was covered in more than a dozen bullet holes, with three in his face and several more scattered across his neck and chest.
Blood seeped from his body as he twitched repeatedly. His face slowly split apart, but his tentacles were too weak and sluggish to move properly. He let out a few weak growls before collapsing onto the ground.
He was dead.
"Want to pick me up? You have to pick up my Second Amendment first!" Kana snorted sarcastically. Killing this bastard with her gun had surprisingly made her feel a lot better.
"Let's go. The sound of the guns was a bit too loud this time." Hilda put away her gun and told her to leave.
She had used a gun this time because she didn't have Chelsea with her to protect her while she completed her magic incantation. Besides, her mana reserves weren't particularly great, so the less magic she had to use, the better. In a situation like this, using guns was simply more practical.
...
On the other side, Natsuo and the others were also about to face the three parasites. Lately, the parasites had become increasingly active, even though they had already killed many of them. It was strange.
This place was within the sphere of their influence, but still, if it were Natsuo, he would have been much more cautious and wouldn't have wandered around unless they were in groups of five.
After all, they had only just killed a parasite, and now three more were coming their way. Didn't these three even suspect, even a little, that this might be a trap?
"50 meters, or 164 feet in freedom units. Be ready." Migi said in a serious tone. He hovered in the air, controlling Shinichi's hand as his body split into three sharp blades.
The three of them stood side by side, with Chelsea standing in the middle. Although Migi was their ally, Chelsea didn't completely trust him and remained cautious, knowing that he could suddenly turn on them. She was confident that she could stop any sneak attack, but the same couldn't be said about Natsuo.
The three of them stood in an empty, remote street. Chelsea had destroyed the traffic camera, leaving them free to act without being observed. They all stared toward the corner, waiting. Chelsea aimed her gun with one hand while holding three needles in the other.
Time passed slowly as they waited. Soon, three shadows began to stretch across the ground beneath the dim light, revealing the silhouettes of three approaching people.
Bang!
The moment they appeared, Chelsea immediately pulled the trigger.
