Chapter 246: Just Before the Date

[3rd POV]

The next morning had come soon after, with her sleep having gone pretty well, even if she had spent some time truly wondering what the woman vying for her love was planning. She expected it to be something pretty interesting, at least, she was assuming so.

She knew that she would love it either way. She liked the woman too much to hate it, unless Death did something truly outrageous that would annoy her enough. But that was effectively impossible, as she was patient enough to handle that sort of thing.

It was the next morning now, and Wanda was sat the table with her kids and Raven. She was munching on her breakfast, which they had decided on breakfast burritos this time, with some salsa that she had made specially for the meal as well.

It was utterly delicious.

While eating, she was surrounded by her family, and with them knowing that she was giong on that date with Death that very same evening, they of course had questions. Or at least Milim, Naruto and even Amity did.

The latter had asked her questions a bit quieter, and she looked a bit more embarrassed having to ask that. Something about asking questions about her mama’s relationship was really embarrassing, she had no idea why. Milim and Naruto were quite a bit more shameless compared to their younger sibling.

"Mama, how come mom is okay with you dating someone else?" Milim asked abruptly as Wanda was just about to take another bite of her burrito, and Raven was actively chewing on her breakfast.

The woman coughed at those words, struggling to not choke on the food in her mouth while Wanda stared at her listening to her words before glancing at Raven. Raven, who got her choking under control, just sighed and gave her a short and simple nod.

"Because Raven - your mom - thinks that it would be wrong of her to stop me from pursuing a relationship with Lady Death. When Lady Death has been extremely respectful of her position and our relationship" Wanda explained to her daughter, who slowly nodded in understanding.

"And you’re okay with Mama having another girlfriend?" Milim asked Raven, who nodded.

"I am. Because Death understands that we will be sharing your mama, and will not be taking advantage of one another to try and start some sort of rivalry over your mama. Death agreed to share her, where we will love her together, and she will love both of us at the same time" Raven explained, before Naruto couldn’t help but cut in.

"Will you and Death love each other?" Naruto asked. It was a very very good question, since they had never really talked about it before. If this was going to turn from Wanda being with both Raven and Death but them not with each other, or if it was going to turn into some sort of throuple.

"I believe Death and I will become sisterly in nature, but I do not think I will ever love anyone in a romantic manner ever again, not after your mama" Raven replied after contemplating it for a few moments. She wasn’t really sure how else to explain his sort of thing to the kids.

But thankfully they seemed to come to a realization and nodded at her words. Milim didn’t seem to care too much, as it was very common in her world. Harems were everywhere, and they didn’t really bother to hide it, since harems were completely legal back in her own world.

Amity was the main one that looked a little confused about the prospect, but out of respect for her mama she didn’t say anything, even if she truly was very curious about what sort of relationship that would develop, and how it worked in their family.

"Does Death know that?" Amity asked, getting a nod in response.

"She knows every time we talk about her outside of the shop, since all of that is within her gaze. She is quite protective, even if you have not realized it’s just yet. You’ll come to that realization once she officially joins the family, and you will come to adore her" Raven explained to the youngest of the three, explaining a few things that she no doubt had no idea about. They knew a bit about Death, but not enough to really form a proper opinion on her.

They had to get to know her more before something like that.

But that would come later, once Wanda and her actually started their relationship in the first place. Since some dates weren’t really enough to call it an actual relationship.

"What about what other people think? Isn’t being with two different people at the same time a little...strange?" Amity asked, trying not to sound rude with her question. Raven and Wanda were not insulted or anything, since they had expected this.

"Hon, I am a Godlike entity that can destroy and create multiverses like they are nothing. Death is basically the same, and Raven is getting to that level. Do you believe we would care about what other people think about our relationship?" Wanda asked softly, as Amity looked embarrassed, realizing her question was kind of dumb.

"Plus harems and stuff are super common back in my world, so it’s not that weird. I think even Naruto’s world has harems too" Milim added, not really seeing the fuss about the relationship. It was barely even able to be called a harem, as a lot of people saw a harem as 3 people with one person, but by technicality it was still polygamy.

"Sorry if it was a dumb question" Amity said as she looked away awkwardly.

Wanda shook her head at her youngest daughter’s words before speaking "It wasn’t a dumb question, Amity. No question is a dumb question, since you are trying to learn and understand"

"What do you think the date is going to be?" Milim asked. She had asked the question before, but she wanted to know if her mama had any ideas now or if she was still unsure.

"No idea. But I believe it will be something fun. The previous one she took me on was quite enjoyable" Wanda replied with a shrug, really not having any clue. She imagined it would be something grand and incredible, since that seemed to be Death’s style with dates.

But she could be surprised.

Either way, the date was coming up later that day, and she was pretty excited.

The rest of the breakfast had continued on like that, with the kids asking some questions about Death and their date. That and how she believed the date was going to go. Like if she was going to start dating her after this date or what.

She didn’t answer all of the questions, since she did not know the answer to them all. But she answered the ones that she could.

After eating their large breakfast, the kids had went off to do their own thing, which was probably planning their next prank on the Young Justice or the Justice League this time. While Raven had opted to go out into the world for a bit to pick up some supplies she wanted to test, ones that Wanda had not yet copied in one of her dimensions.

This left Wanda alone in her shop, as she sipped on her tea and read a book, customers doing their shopping throughout the shop.

While doing so, she could only wonder how this date would go.

She hoped it would be as fun as the first one.
