Chapter 237: Prank

[3rd POV]

While Wanda was sitting in her shop waiting to see what Hestia was planning on buying for her beloved familia member, and was trying not to laugh as Hestia looked increasingly lost on what she was even looking at, the rest of her family was off doing their own thing.

Well, the kids were.

See, they had already pranked Lex Luthor in some small meaningless ways, enough to get some grumbling from him. But they had yet to do anything more than that.

They didn’t want to go too far with the pranks against the man, as he had not actually done anything to them. And while he was obviously not a good person...well, they weren’t exactly either. Naruto was the nicest of the family, while Wanda was easily the worst

She was the type that would obliterate an entire universe if it meant that her children and girlfriend would be okay. While Milim would gladly obliterate a planet for her family, even she is not at the same level as Wanda when it came to protectiveness and what she was willing to do.

More importantly, they have not yet pranked the Young Justice, or the Justice League in general. Not in any way that they considered a "Proper Prank". What that even meant, Raven had no clue.

What she did know was that she had to follow after the two troublemakers in silence, covering herself in magic to hide herself from anyone noticing her. Well, more so the kids, as she was going to let them do their thing, whatever that was.

She was pretty sure it was going to be something stupid though, knowing how they were.

Watching them walk through the streets of Happy Harbour, Raven knew that they would be pranking the Young Justice today. They wanted to go after the Justice League, but that was an entirely different beast right there.

The Justice League was a lot harder to prank, even for them.

Plus while they had not pranked the entire team or anything, they had pranked Superman, and that was enough for them right now. Whereas they had never truly pranked the Young Justice.

"So...what are you two planning?" Amity asked, as she looked at her older siblings. The two of them looked at her and then at each other. Smirks forming as Milim pulled her sister in close.

"Something fun! Easy to do, funny, and of course, safe!" Milim replied, knowing how her sister got with pranks. If the prank could harm someone, she wanted to know. Because she really didn’t want innocent people to get injured.

Amity was easily the most moral person in the family, and that was part of why the entire family was very protective of her. That and she was positively adorable without even meaning to be. Milim and Naruto always wondered if Amity would be the last of the children that Wanda would adopt, or if she would bring in more people in the future.

They hoped that she would bring in even more siblings, be they younger or older than them. They both really wanted a large family of siblings to love and spoil. Especially Naruto, who had been lacking a family for a large majority of his life.

"That does not give me much faith, Milim" Amity responded blankly, knowing how her sister was. She knew that her definition of "safe" was far different than the definition of others. To most others, safe was well...good. You would not be in fear for your life, or be under any sort of threat.

But safe with Milim was...well, pretty damn dangerous most of the time. She was naturally just unable to see what "safe" meant by other peoples standards. This was because of her level of power, her ability to survive...well, mostly things, and the other multitude of abilities she had.

So, Amity would need to be careful about this, and make sure that Milim was actually being careful about the prank she was doing. Because usually, she was not careful at all, and tended to not think things through when she does them.

"Bah! It’ll be fine. Trust me, you’ll love it!" Milim replied, waving off her sisters concerns.

Raven couldn’t help but deadpan as she watched them in silence, knowing Milim enough to know that she was not going to be careful about this. She also knew that Amity’s concerns were almost certainly very valid. So, Raven decided that she would make sure to use some magic to keep everyone safe, and unharmed from whatever the hell that prank was about to be.

"Yeah, have some faith in us!" Naruto added with a cheerful grin on his face, as they walked closer and closer towards Mount Justice, the home base of the Young Justice team.

Ready to prank some heroes.

Today was a pretty interesting day for the Young Justice team. They had only recently completed a mission, while Connor had dealt with some events regarding New Gods and Apokolips. Nothing too crazy though.

Halloween was officially coming up, and they were preparing for it.

"So, what are you guys going to do for Halloween?" Dick asked, as he sat on the couch in the living room of the mountain. Typing away at a keyboard as he was working on some school work.

"Ooh, I want to go to the Halloween party at school!" M’gann said with an excited grin on her face. Connor nodded along with her, even if he really did not look like he was actually all that interested.

"I do not particularly care for Halloween. Nor do I really celebrate it" Kaldur said without much interest. Halloween was technically a thing for Atlantis, but it just wasn’t all that interesting to him. Nor was it really celebrated by any of his people.

It was more so the king himself that liked it. Aquaman.

"Really? That’s disappointing" M’gann said, frowning at this news. She supposed it was not entirely surprising, since even her own people did not really celebrate such things. But it would have been interesting to hear if Atlantis had it’s own form of celebrations.

"Not surprising though. As I am pretty sure aliens won’t know about Halloween, and if aliens don’t know about it, then it’s not that far fetched to say that Atlantis wouldn’t be celebrating it" Wally said, not all that surprising.

"Yeah, we’ve dragged him with us for it a couple of times, but he never really understood the dressing up part, so we kind of just gave up a couple of years ago" Dick added, agreeing.

He wished that Kaldur was more into it, but he wasn’t going to force his friend to celebrate something that he did not truly care about. Just as Kaldur would not force him to celebrate some Atlantean holiday he did not truly care for.

"I honestly don’t think I’m going to celebrate it. Never really been the biggest fan of Halloween like that. Plus I’m at the age where going trick or treating is...well, just kind of weird" Artemis said, also not planning on celebrating it.

"You could go to a party instead! You could even join Connor and I! It’d be fun!" M’gann suggested, which Artemis shook her head at.

"No offense, but I am not really interested" Artemis replied. She had never really enjoyed the idea of Halloween. Partially because she lived in the absolute shithole that was Gotham.

She was also just not a very big fan of all the costumes, probably because her dad was a grade A dickhead.

While they were talking, Wally was glancing to the side. Confusion slowly growing on his face as he noticed something on the coffee table.

"Hey, when did that box get there?" Wally asked, as the others in the room looked over at him upon hearing this. Then they looked over at the table he was pointing out, and noticed a large pink box.

"...Okay, that was definitely not there a few minutes ago, right?" Dick said, as the others nodded.

"I believe we should alert Red Tornado of a potential intruder...immediately" Kaldur said, as he stepped back, the others mimicking him.

Only...once they stepped back, Wally "Accidentally" got caught on the carpet underneath the table, and tripped.

A yelp left him as the others leaped forwards, and M’gann reached her hand out. The box slowly toppling over and opening. And before anyone could stop it, a large explosion of pink dust filled the room, as did coughs.

"W-What the hell just happened!?" A voice echoed, as the figure stilled "What-is that my voice?" The figure added, this being Dick.

"I feel...weird" A masculine voice echoed, as the dust slowly began to die down. And standing there was...the Young Justice?

Well...

Sort of.

They were...changed.

Very changed.

Looking down, Connor blanked in confusion, before blankly looking up and speaking.

"This is bullshit"
