Chapter 821: Moving the Moon (Part 2)
Chapter 821 -506: Moving the Moon (Part 2)
Even though the subway on the Moon had been built much wider than the ones on Earth, many people still had to squeeze in like their lives depended on it just to get on. That was the downside of such an insanely high population density.
After seeing that most humans were now living peacefully on the Moon, Wang Ye began to think about how he should go about blowing the entire Earth to pieces.
He didn’t have much time left. If those Sea Monsters were given another ten days or half a month to develop, they might burst out of Earth and become Cosmic Giant Beasts. By then, even Wang Ye might not be able to defeat them.
One had to know that the distance between Earth and the Sun was extremely far—light itself needed eight minutes to get there—so he could no longer repeat the maneuver he’d used to destroy Mercury. He had to rely on his own power to literally blast the entire Earth apart.
Wang Ye stood upright in the pitch-black Cosmos, staring at the Divine Power flowing in his palm.
Beneath his feet was that blue planet, that planet everyone was infinitely familiar with.
At this moment, he could clearly see those troublemakers who had insisted on staying on Earth, now being hunted down by countless Sea Monsters.
They let out shrill, miserable wails, begging for mercy over and over, kneeling on the ground and pleading for Wang Ye to come down and save them.
They regretted it bitterly, regretted not following Wang Ye and emigrating to the Moon.
But it was too late for regret now. Wang Ye and the rest of humanity had already emigrated, and their voices could no longer be heard by anyone.
All they could do now was stare in despair as those utterly terrifying Sea Monsters drew closer and wait for death to descend.
Very soon, the remaining humans on Earth were all slaughtered by those Sea Monsters.
Looking down at the rapidly evolving Sea Monsters on Earth, Wang Ye knew there was no other way anymore. He had to at least try.
Of course, before he blew up Earth, he needed to first push the Moon away from Earth’s orbit; otherwise, when Earth exploded, it would easily drag the humans on the Moon down with it.
This step was also a brutal test of his strength. Pushing a massive planet out of its orbit was naturally an incredibly difficult task; one had to know that even back then, he’d had to exhaust his full strength just to nudge Mercury the tiniest distance.
The Moon and Mercury were almost the same size, which meant that pushing the Moon would be no less difficult than pushing Mercury.
And while pushing the Moon, he also had to ensure the humans on it were not harmed—that is, his power couldn’t act directly on any single point of the Moon.
He had to wrap the Moon in a Biological Force Field before he could move it.
Just like Superman in the movies.
This requirement made pushing the Moon even harder.
Fortunately, Wang Ye’s power was no longer what it used to be.
He was now more than ten times stronger than when he’d blasted Mercury apart.
After obtaining Mercury’s power, he had completely become a Superman, unafraid of any human weapon.
He had truly achieved the feat of using the strength of a single person to fight an entire planet.
“I wonder if, with my current power, it’s even possible to move the Moon…” Wang Ye muttered.
With that said—
Wang Ye drew upon all the power in his body. The units of Primordial Qi within him could no longer be measured by numbers.
After obtaining a planet’s energy, his body had practically become a world unto itself, a system completely independent from the Cosmos.
With the nuclear reactor he had created in his chest cavity as the core, countless planet-like structures extended out around it, orbiting the core and generating an endless stream of energy.
This made the energy within him nearly inexhaustible, just like a true planet—his power seemed boundless.
But that “boundless” was just a metaphor, not literal infinity. His power might be considered inexhaustible when facing humans,
but when facing an entire planet, or even an entire Cosmos, it could hardly be called inexhaustible; it didn’t even amount to a drop in the ocean.
His power turned into invisible threads, gradually spreading toward the Moon.
At this moment—
The five billion humans on the Moon were still working and living in complete ignorance.
They did not notice that, in the ink-black night sky, Wang Ye was hovering between the Earth–Moon orbit, his dust-like tiny figure facing the pockmarked, silver-gray lunar surface.
Beneath the thin honeycomb-like dome, the five billion humans crouched like an ant colony in their newly forged metal hive, unaware that the Moon beneath their feet was being permeated by an invisible force.
In an instant,
seemingly solid power converged into countless blazing white threads millions of kilometers long, wrapping around the entire Moon.
The antimatter energy flow released from within Wang Ye was locked in a frantic tug-of-war with the mass of the entire planet.
It was like using an ordinary person’s strength to push a steel sphere weighing thousands of kilos.
Although, with such strength, it was hard to truly shake this steel sphere, he could still slowly push it along a flat surface.
What Wang Ye was doing now was essentially this mayfly-shaking-a-giant-tree act.
The energy within his body burned at high speed. The terrifying mass–energy from the planet itself boiled in his palms. Antimatter currents erupted like a supernova, transforming into two spiraling energy bands that tore through time and space and slammed into the entire Moon.
The next moment, the Moon… moved.
Although the humans on the lunar surface remained completely unaware,
the crust beneath the ground began to slowly crack open, and the ring-shaped craters started collapsing and wrinkling at an almost imperceptible speed.
But all moonquakes and gravitational turbulence were precisely smothered within the Biological Force Field Wang Ye had deployed,
so under the dome, the people only saw the positions of the stars beyond the sky shift ever so slightly. Not even the coffee in their cups showed the slightest ripple.
They only felt a subtle sense of weightlessness, as if they were sitting on an incredibly stable giant ship.
By now, a small number of people had noticed that the silver-gray planet beneath their feet seemed to be slowly moving toward some direction.
Wang Ye’s power was being drawn out to the extreme. His body glowed with a dark-golden radiance as his energy kept converging into a Biological Force Field, slowly pushing the Moon along.
The Earth–Moon gravity was violently stretched. As the Moon slowly moved, Earth’s rotation axis was actually tugged into a barely perceptible tilt.
The oceans on Earth began to howl like mad. This tiny displacement caused all the oceans on Earth to whip up unprecedented waves that swallowed the continental shelves.
The entire Earth was completely transformed into a raging Demon Realm. The surging waves were no longer just a hundred or a thousand meters high, but apocalyptic waves that devoured heaven and earth, instantly leveling every exposed skeletal remnant of land.
But the Sea Monsters were not affected in the slightest. They continued to devour and evolve, the strongest of them having already grown to more than ten kilometers long, with blood-red maws that could swallow an entire city in one bite. They were far more terrifying than anything in those Classic of Mountains and Seas mobile game ads. The entire Earth had virtually reverted to a state of primordial chaos.
And the Moon still hadn’t stopped moving. After breaking free from Earth’s gravitational leash, the Moon’s speed grew faster and faster. Wang Ye clenched his teeth, energy pouring out of him continuously. Behind him, a terrifying human-shaped aura gradually formed, composed of vast Samadhi True Fire, large enough to cover half the Moon. At this moment, anyone living on the Moon only had to look up to see that sky-filling aura phantom blazing in the Cosmos.
At the same time, searing heat was conducted down to the lunar surface, and everyone suddenly felt an unbearable sweltering heat.
But they knew this was Wang Ye attempting to move the Moon, to push it out of Earth’s orbit.
Because they could clearly see Earth drifting farther and farther away from them, and the fixed positions of the stars slowly beginning to shift.
They raised their heads in shock and exclaimed:
“He actually managed to move the Moon…”
“So he wasn’t lying. He really wants to use his bare hands to push the entirety of human civilization to another life-bearing planet…”
