Chapter 762: Chapter 477: Piercing Through the Moon

Wang Ye stood up after spreading the Moon Dust back onto the surface and began to survey the surrounding environment.

The Moon has a diameter of over three thousand kilometers, which is definitely too large to cover in a short time. Thus, in the coming three days, he will have to search for traces of the Extraterrestrial Crystal Cluster here.

Moreover, during the scanning process, he must not excessively damage the Moon’s ecological environment.

Only minor scars can be left, and the majority area cannot be directly blown up.

Of course, all this is based on the need to protect the Moon.

The Moon is an indispensable part of Earth, so for the sake of humanity, he cannot cause damage to Earth’s ecology.

If the Moon were destroyed, then the tidal phenomena on Earth and numerous other ecological environments would be seriously affected.

Therefore, when searching the Moon, Wang Ye needs to ensure that the Moon remains intact. If the Moon is damaged, it might directly collapse. In the worst case, it could turn into a meteorite falling onto Earth, destroying various countries.

If he were searching other planets, such as Mercury, Venus, or Jupiter, he could proceed with extensive destruction.

But when searching the Moon, considerations for humanity require restraint. This will seriously slow down his progress.

This is why he needs more than three days to search such a small Moon.

"Well, it’s only three days," Wang Ye sighed softly.

After all, he evolves every day, so to him, the concept of truly wasting time doesn’t exist.

Even lying down, he can grow stronger.

Moreover, he is constantly moving.

During the search for the Moon, he is also increasing his Excavation Skill Level.

Next, Wang Ye plans to use Primordial Qi to search for traces of Crystal Clusters on the Moon’s surface.

The first step in searching for Crystal Clusters is to start by checking the fine mineral substances mixed in the Moon Dust.

If beneath the surface lies a Crystal Cluster from who knows how many years ago, some traces must be mixed within the Moon Dust.

Either extremely fine particles mixed in the Moon Dust due to long-term weathering and abrasion,

Or some native minerals that have undergone special changes.

In any place where there is an Extraterrestrial Crystal Cluster, there will certainly be unusual changes.

For example, on Earth, where the Extraterrestrial Crystal Cluster appeared, lived a Megalodon from a million years ago. Besides, some sea creatures evolved due to prolonged soaking by the Crystal Cluster.

Apart from this, the terrain deep down in the Mariana Trench has also been affected by the Extraterrestrial Crystal Cluster.

Generally speaking, the seabed terrain should not be as peculiar as the Mariana Trench.

Such terrain, resembling a crater, is preserved due to the influence of Crystal Clusters. Although some formations might have resulted from early meteor impacts or volcanic eruptions, lasting for over a million years certainly requires some reason.

This reason is most likely the influence of Crystal Clusters. The energy released by Crystal Clusters allows such peculiar terrain to be preserved for so long.

And on the Moon, there are plenty of impact craters from meteor strikes.

Through the course of the Moon’s history, numerous asteroids, comets, and meteorites have struck the Moon, generating immense energy, causing explosions and ejections of surface material, forming impact craters. On May 13, 1972, a large meteorite struck the Moon’s surface, forming a crater the size of a football field. The moonquake triggered by the impact was even recorded by four seismometers placed on the Moon’s surface. Generally, proponents of meteor impacts suggest that approximately thirty billion years ago, numerous meteoric bodies existed in the Cosmos, and the Moon was semi-molten during that period. When huge meteoric bodies collided with the Moon’s surface, they ejected a large amount of rock and soil, forming rings of craters.

Since the Moon’s surface lacks weathering effects, an atmosphere, wind, rain, or intense geological activities, it doesn’t erode terrain, leading to such numerous craters.

Another cause is the early formation period of the Moon when a large quantity of internal high-temperature gases and lava erupted out, forming phenomena similar to volcanic eruptions.

Lava accumulating at the crater forms craters. As the eruption force diminishes, the ejected material accumulates centrally, forming the Central Peak within the crater. Some eruptions ended early or didn’t re-erupt, resulting in no Central Peak formation. Usually, only large craters have visible Central Peaks.

What intrigued Wang Ye was the resemblance of the crater and Central Peak structures in the Mariana Trench’s depths to most craters and Central Peaks on the Moon. Such craters exist in abundance on the Moon; there are over 3,300 craters with diameters above one kilometer. Large craters have diameters exceeding a hundred kilometers, such as the Belli Crater near the Moon’s Antarctic, with a diameter exceeding 295 kilometers.

In places like these, Extraterrestrial Crystal Clusters are highly possible, because numerous meteoric bodies from various parts of the Cosmos might bring mysterious cosmic materials to the Moon.

This is why Wang Ye spends such effort seeking Crystal Clusters here. Because across the entire Solar System, perhaps the most probable location for Crystal Clusters is the Moon.

Thinking of this, Wang Ye continued exploring different areas of the Moon, stopping to explore each crater he passed.
