Ling Yueyue was eating porridge with a spoon and asked, "Does this mean I’m marrying into a wealthy family?"

Huo Junmo, trying to focus on the road ahead, teased, "I guess I count as wealthy! Though I’m not the richest in the world, life isn’t exactly tight!"

"You’re more than just wealthy; you’re a super-rich! Haha... I never thought I’d marry someone rich one day! But I hope you won’t regret marrying me today!" Ling Yueyue said as she ate. Thinking about her complicated family, she felt a slight headache coming on.

To be honest, she was really afraid of Huo Junmo meeting her family one day!

She couldn’t imagine what Huo Junmo would think if he knew about her family!

Listening to Ling Yueyue’s words, a glint of darkness flashed in Huo Junmo’s eyes, and his lips curled slightly in a somewhat mocking way, "I also hope you won’t regret marrying me one day!"

Huo Junmo didn’t look at her and started the Maybach, asking without expression, "Where to? School or hotel?"

Ling Yueyue looked at him and replied, "Take me to school! I have two compulsory classes later!"

Huo Junmo said nothing, directly turning the wheel and heading to Ling Yueyue’s school!

After attending two classes, Ling Yueyue bid farewell to her best friend Ye Anxin and took a bus to the cafe where she was temporarily working!

She had been working at this cafe for almost a year now. The pay and benefits were good, and the hours were short. As long as she got along well with the supervisor, she could arrange her schedule in advance!

Although sometimes it was tiring, the good thing was that the hard work paid off!

Each month’s salary, after rent and utilities, went mostly to her parents, leaving just a little for living expenses!

Today, as usual, her shift was from 11 AM to 5 PM! Occasionally, when the store got really busy and she had to work overtime, they’d double her hourly wage for the extra hours!

Since using a phone on shift was not allowed, Ling Yueyue left hers in the locker room!

Like every day, Ling Yueyue began preparing to finish work at 4:50 PM.

Just as she got to the locker room, without changing her clothes, the supervisor hurried over to tell her it had suddenly gotten busy outside and they needed her to work overtime!

The phone rang twice before he picked up, and his deep, somewhat displeased voice came through, "Where are you now?"

Feeling apologetic, Ling Yueyue said, "Sorry, I was busy and forgot about waiting for your call earlier! I’m really sorry!"

Hearing the apology in her voice, Huo Junmo’s tone softened a bit, "Have you eaten yet?"

Ling Yueyue answered honestly, "Not yet! Just finished work and was about to grab something to eat!"

Huo Junmo asked, "Where are you now? I can come find you!"

Ling Yueyue shook her head, refusing, "No need, I’ve been busy all day and I’m tired. I just want to eat something simple and head back to the hotel to rest!"

Huo Junmo persistently asked, "I’m near your school, where are you now? I can come to you!"
