Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1173: Void Ichor! (2)

Chapter 1173: Void Ichor! (2)

The brocade patterns on the Brocade Box shuddered, "Once the Void Ichor was touched, the Void Monarch was alerted, and Lord Whiteness seemed to have realized it as well once he regained his senses.

"In the end, Lord Whiteness also took me, because I had been closest to the Void Ichor, not to mention I’m not some ordinary Divine Artifact either, and lastly, anything within the secret vaults of the Void Monarch is a priceless treasure.

"But Lord Whiteness had already provoked the Void Monarch, and in his rage, the Void Monarch sent all of his armies of Zodiac Beasts far and wide to find any traces of Lord Whiteness, while the Void Monarch, himself, went out in search.

"If it was just me that Lord Whiteness had taken, then I don’t think Void Monarch would’ve reacted so violently, but the Void Ichor seemed to hold far more value than even I had anticipated to the Void Monarch.

"Nonetheless, the Void Mantis, true to its fable origin and race, managed to pull the impossible and escaped the Monarch of Void unscathed.

"However, it doesn’t mean Lord Whiteness had truly escaped the Void Monarch, and he almost successfully ambushed Lord Whiteness three times. If the Supreme One hadn’t interfered, Lord Whiteness wouldn’t be here."

Although Jaco didn’t fully believe everything the Artifact Spirit just told him, and there were many loopholes, he got the gist of what had transpired back then.

Moreover, from this, Jacob learned two important things. First, the Void Ichor was very important to Immortal Nimrod, or it held some sort of importance to the cunning Void Monarch.

Second, the Void Mantis has the capabilities to infiltrate not only Immortal Nimrod’s secret vaults, but also escape his relentless pursuit in his own domain, which was a huge discovery.

At that moment, Jacob couldn’t help but manipulate the ’Void Ichor’ and pulled it in front of himself. The Brocade Box seemed to have guessed what Jacob was about to do and instantly went silent without any intention of stopping him.

With a thoughtful yet wary look in his eyes, Jacob moved his skeletal hand towards the Void Ichor, and unlike before, the monolithic quartz didn’t show any reaction to his approach.

Jacob’s eyes flickered with a peculiar glimmer as he glanced towards the Brocade Box and snickered, "It was you who tried to take the Void Ichor and the White Hexagon with you and flee!"

The Brocade Box trembled slightly as if caught red-handed, but Jacob didn’t even glance at it any longer, and he decided to remove the Infinite Space suppression on the Void Ichor.

Jacob instantly caught the Void Ichor in his hand, and he felt nothing from it except for the black mercury constantly shifting inside and the perfectly carved shape. Nothing seemed to be extraordinary about this quartz. He even tried to use his soul sense, but nothing happened.

"I guess, it only works for Void-Born after all..." The Brocade Box sounded disappointed yet relieved for some reason.

Jacob’s eyes compressed with uncertainty, ’Is it really just that simple?’

"Cursed Immortality! What is this item?" Jacob directly asked the Cursed Book at the end.

Although he wanted to get less help from Immortika, when he or even Divine Artifact couldn’t identify something, not to mention that the item happened to be cherished by Immortal Nimrod, he wouldn’t hesitate to seek help.

"Hahahaha..."Immortika’s laughter sounded, "Aren’t you the Cursed Blood Progenitor? How about I give you a task, and I promise you the rewards would be out of your widest expectations if you managed to complete it?’

Jacob was startled by this unexpected reply, and it would be a lie to say that he wasn’t tempted. Furthermore, he could easily guess what Immortika’s task was going to be when the Cursed Book mentioned ’Cursed Blood Progenitor’.

"So, this is blood?" Jacob impassively inquired.

"Hehehe, indeed it is blood. As for what it is, as long as you can figure it out with just the Immortal Chapter you have comprehended, without using a Wish, trust me, you’ll reach new heights in your path of Cursed Blood Progenitor.

"Oh, and you’re fully capable of figuring out its mysteries. I can’t wait to see the look on your ice-face then, because you’ll learn many more things, but only if you do as I said. Hehe~!" Immortika stated playfully.

Jacob’s eyes flickered with a hint of surprise when Immortika told him not even use ’Wish’ because he might be planning on using it when he heard about rewards.

However, he won’t dare ignore Immortika’s warning as well, and since this could be beneficial for his progress in Cursed Blood Progenitor, he decided to accept.

"Alright, I’ll see if you’re telling the truth or not," Jacob replied in agreement and not just because of the rewards but also because what he was planning happened for him to required the Immortal Chapter as well.

Jacob then stowed the ’Void Ichor’ in the storage space, as he’d start working on it once he’d finished other important matters.

"Where did it go?" The Brocade Box was startled and asked in an astounded tone.

The Brocade Box was with the Void Ichor for a long time, and it has developed a peculiar sense towards it; even when it was within Whiteness’s Divine Soul, it could easily sense its presence. That’s why it wanted to flee with it as well.

But now that it had vanished in Jacob’s hands, it couldn’t sense even its traces, which was completely shocking.

"You don’t need to concern yourself with it," Jacob said impassively, as he had no intention of revealing his trump cards.

The Brocade Box was speechless and wanted to retort, but stayed silent because Jacob was simply too mysterious.

At that moment, Nyx’s voice suddenly reverberated in Jacob’s mind, "Hey! I’ve succeeded. But you might not like what I’ve discovered!"

Jacob was already planning on asking about how Nyx had progressed with the Nightmare Conqueror Seed when he heard this unexpected statement.

The flames in Jacob’s eyes flared coldly, "What is it!"
