Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1077: The Leaders of Life Faction

Chapter 1077: The Leaders of Life Faction

Today, the front line of the Sagittarius Continent between the domains of Life and Death was a no-man’s land stretched wide—once valleys, now ground down into blood-soaked plains where countless battles had been fought and refought.

The soil itself seemed alive, groaning with the weight of millions of corpses buried beneath it. Even a pebble was stained with crimson, and every gust of wind carried the scent of iron and ash.

On one side, behind the battlefield, loomed the Blood Domain of the Vampires—their seat of power, pulsing with ominous vitality. Crimson castles dotted the skyline, towering like monoliths, their spires weeping endless streams of blood mist. Bat-like shadows patrolled the air, spectral banners fluttering as if the night itself had been shackled to the Dead Faction’s cause.

On the opposite side, the Evil Domain reborn stood transformed. Once the Fiends’ infernal bastion, it had become a citadel of emerald brilliance, a fortress of the Life Faction.

Gigantic light elemental stones wove together into colossal walls of light, runes etched into them, glowing like stars. Mechanical constructs patrolled the ramparts, and every wall rooted deep into the cursed earth, purging remnants of Fiendish corruption with waves of holy radiance.

Between these two titanic forces lies today’s battlefield.

Two armies stood in opposition, lined like an ocean of blades. On the side of the Dead Faction, the atmosphere was suffocating—thick with dread, silence, and the crushing weight of expectancy.

Their banners of black and crimson swayed without sound, and though their legions numbered in the tens of millions, none made a move. It was as if the entire host was holding its breath, waiting for something.

By contrast, the Life Faction’s army pulsed with vigor. The ground itself quaked under the rhythmic beating of their war drums. Rows upon rows of radiant soldiers stood ready, their weapons gleaming with light, their eyes burning with resolve. Today, they were not merely prepared for war—they were eager, emboldened, as if today promised something far greater than another bloody stalemate.

The reason was apparent.

At the very center of the battlefield, a colossal throne of carved stone and golden steel had been raised. Upon it sat a figure so massive that even mountains might bow before his shadow.

It was none other than the Giant War King, Chairman of the Zodiac Warrior Alliance. Supreme Commander of the Life Faction’s armies. War Giant Chief.

With a height of 100 meters, he sat with the stillness of a deity, his colossal frame towering over both armies, his war-axe resting casually at his side yet radiating an oppressive pressure that made the skies themselves tremble. His gaze, sharper than any blade, swept across the Dead Faction’s armies—not with anger, nor hatred, but with a cold, unshakable superiority.

To him, the army of the Dead Faction was nothing more than ants. Obstacles and shadows of a wounded beast that should have already perished if not for the saving grace of the Champion King!

The air between the armies was charged, heavy with killing intent so thick it pressed into the chest like a weight.

The Giant War King leaned forward slightly, his eyes never leaving the ranks of the Dead. His voice, when it rumbled across the battlefield, was like the toll of a death knell, shaking the souls of both armies.

"Where is your Champion?" His voice carried both oppression and a hint of mockery as if he already knew the answer.

On the other hand, the silence of the Dead Faction deepened, their stillness betraying unease. The enemy’s supreme commander had spoken, and now, before all the Legendary Plains, they would have to answer.

At this moment, hidden within the folds of space were two figures.

One was a devilishly handsome elf with long golden hair and silvery eyes, donned in a violet battle armor, it was the Wise King, also known as the President of the Universal Bank Mercenary Association!

The second was a charming woman with an hourglass figure, adorned in a pink battle suit, and a long, slender sword was sheathed around her willow wrist. Her facial features were incredibly alluring and bewitching, with faint silver runic markings flowing around the side of her pale white long neck, and on her forehead was a closed eyelid!

This was the Spirit Eye King of the Alchemy Guild, and also the newly appointed leader of the Alchemy King Council because of the current war!

"That guy is showing off too much. What if the Champion King really shows up? He’ll be the first one to flee, and then where will I put the life faction’s face?" The Wise King grumbled with a hint of worry and annoyance.

The Spirit Eye King gave the Wise King a side eye and scoffed, "Are you sure that you are just worried about the Giant War King and instead not jealous because he stole all your spotlight?"

The Wise King arrogantly raised his chin and retorted, "Hehe, sister, with this face, I don’t need to fight with the big oaf for the spotlight! I’ll have you know that just yesterday, I received 128 love letters, almost matching one-third of my previous record! Being so handsome is really a sin, I’m telling you!"

The Spirit Eye King urged her to roll her eyes filled with disdain, but she was well aware of the Wise King’s true nature. He might be an elegant and wise man in the eyes of countless people of the Legendary Plains, but those who know him want to beat him up and call him the ’Show-off’ in secret!

"Enough with your nonsense, be serious this time! Just who told you that the Champion King suddenly went missing with the Holy King, and soon after, a hidden power detained the entire Shattered Star Cruiser with their crew?" The Spirit Eye King’s eyes went sharp as she deeply looked at the Wise King.

As one of the three leaders of the Life Faction, the Spirit Eye King was privy to information that not even Legendary Kings under them could come in contact with.

The sudden challenge of the Giant War King against the Champion King in such a flashy manner was all planned after the Wise King brought back this unexpected piece of information.

Furthermore, after all three of them investigated, they really found proof hinted at by the Wise King’s informant, and they were shocked.

That’s why the Wise King quickly reacted, and the Giant War King accepted without hesitation, as this was the chance they had all been waiting for to win over the entire Sagittarius Continent!
