Chapter 1053: Get Everything!

Jacob returned to the secret underground chamber, and he finally felt like himself again. Nonetheless, he remained in a daze for a while since what he just experienced couldn’t be described in words. It was like a vivid dream, yet not at the same time.

"W-what just happened!? I suddenly felt your consciousness wasn’t here for a second...?" Nyx’s bewildered yet worried voice sounded.

Nyx, as a Beast of Primordial Nightmare, was sensitive to illusions or anything related to them; that’s why she instantly caught the change in Jacob’s consciousness despite Jacob cutting off her vision ever since he had entered the Temple of the Blazing Flame.

Jacob snapped out of his stupor and asked with a hint of surprise, "Only a second has passed?"

"Indeed, that’s why I wasn’t able to react in time. Just what is going on out there?!" Nyx asked with a frustrated tone.

"Nothing, just focus on your task at hand." Jacob impassively said, and no longer paid attention to Nyx.

He wasn’t in the mood to talk with Nyx, and mused with a fearful glimmer in his eyes, ’So that person I had the point of view of was the Holy Justice God...but what about the other one? Furthermore, from that vision, I can safely assume that this Trace Faith Idol was created a long time ago.

’Moreover, to deliver this Trace Faith Idol in the Middle Plains, the Holy Justice God hired that entity from the Void. At least now I know how this Trace Faith Idol appeared within the Cardinal Spirit Temple of the Middle Plains.

However, nothing too extreme happened, and Jacob finally grabbed the Ceremonial Chalice under the Trace Faith Idol. The latter didn’t react in any way, as if it were just an ordinary statue.
