Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1017: Mechanized Sovereign Tower

Chapter 1017: Mechanized Sovereign Tower

The Infinite Space,

At this moment, the center of the Infinite Space—where Jacob’s lab once resided—underwent a monumental transformation.

A towering obsidian structure was casting long shadows over the ever-shifting space. Gleaming with a dark luster, the new tower was nearly identical to the Timeless Tower, yet somehow more futuristic and foreboding.

It had only fifty floors compared to the Timeless Tower’s 101, but its diameter was nearly twice as wide, and its structure resembled a colossal high-tech monolith—a perfect fusion of craftsmanship and hyper-advanced engineering.

Inside the first floor, an endless array of runic constructs floated in symmetrical harmony, orbiting intricate circuits carved into the obsidian floor. Streams of code-like runes flowed like rivers of light along the walls, humming softly in cryptic tongues only Spirit Mechanic could understand.

At the center of the floor, Jacob stood, tall and solemn, facing a levitating translucent octahedron suspended by anti-gravitational arrays of spell-tech machinery.

The octahedron’s eight surfaces shimmered with dense layers of golden and black runes, shifting endlessly in a pattern of recursive evolution. At its very core, nestled in a magnetic suspension field, was the black sphere, which was the mutated Spirit Mechanic (SNIM/Machina Unit).

Suddenly, Jacob raised his right hand, and a holographic interface unfurled midair with a soft ding. He tapped a rune cluster.

"Final integration sequence... begin."

A low, static hum echoed throughout the tower. The floor lit up beneath his feet, expanding outward in concentric circles of glowing symbols. The countless constructs floating above began to shiver, realigning into a spiraling formation. The entire first floor became a living mechanism, awakening for the first time.

Then it began.

The Spirit Mechanic within the octahedron started to pulse with violet light, and threads of prismatic energy burst outward, striking every runic construct and structure on the floor, and started to synchronize.

The tower shook, not violently, but purposefully—like a beast stretching for the first time.

Above Jacob, layer after layer of invisible seals cracked open as the tower’s higher floors came online. Each floor activated in sequence, like a massive machine undergoing self-diagnostics.

BOOM.

A low, deep sound rang out as the tower’s outer walls surged with a faint pulse of energy. The octahedron now spun slowly. The Spirit Mechanic inside it began to morph—tendrils of dark energy sprouted and retracted, testing the internal structure of its new vessel.

The old Timeless Tower of the Timeless City has been completely transformed by the Spirit Mechanic and Jacob over decades of work, spending almost all of Jacob’s accumulated wealth from the Constants.

Jacob has poured everything into creating this tower, and it was only possible because of the Spirit Mechanic, which was now the heart of the tower.

At this moment, Jacob’s eyes flickered coldly as the internal interface spoke in a genderless, mechanized tone,

"Ascension Node complete.

"Synchronization with Owner: Jacob

"Subsystems: Operational

"Quantum Labyrinth Floors: Online

"Mind-Cog Engine: Stabilized

"Primal Construct Authority: Granted"

One by one, each of the fifty floors glowed briefly with internal light—blue, red, green, silver—each hue representing a unique system the Spirit Mechanic had engineered into the tower according to Jacob’s demands.

There were Weaponized Factory Floors, Memory Archives Floors, Runic Research Floors, Vitality Research Floors, and many other magic-tech floors for research and crafting.

When everything was perfectly in sync, from the peak of the tower, a massive light beam shot into the Infinite Space sky, and the tower was complete!

At this moment, within the first floor, which was also the ’Control System’ of this new tower, a deep static voice reverberated,

"The Mechanized Sovereign Tower is online!"

Jacob’s eyes flickered with a hint of ecstasy when he heard this voice; this was the declaration of his success, and the time and efforts he had spent didn’t go to waste.

Now, he can say that he owns one of the most powerful and advanced research labs in the entire Legendary Plains. Only SAAI and Undying Will can rival the Mechanized Sovereign Tower; not even those top powers can compete with it.

Jacob suddenly called, "Black Mechanic..."

Black Mechanic was the name Jacob had given to the Spirit Mechanic for a simple reason: it was a mutated spirit core with a black color, and also an unknown rank among the SNIM Race.

"Sir, what is your instruction?" Black Mechanic’s static voice sounded instantly.

Jacob was now the master of the Black Mechanic, and no one held any higher authority here than Jacob. Furthermore, after interacting with Black Mechanic for so many years, Jacob has a complete grasp of Black Mechanic’s abilities and what it is capable of.

Spending ten million years of Lifespan on subduing the Black Mechanic was completely worth it, or he wouldn’t be able to create the Mechanized Sovereign Tower with his current capabilities and knowledge.

"Now that the Mechanized Sovereign Tower is complete, your innate aspect, ’Network Domain,’ can be used again, right?" Jacob questioned.

The Network Domain aspect was one of the innate aspects of Blue Rank SNIM Race members. It was a unique territorial aspect that required a Spirit Mechanic to construct a ’Domain’ of the same rank as their power rank with magic technology, and it required countless resources, and most importantly, knowledge.

Once this Domain was created, it became the Network Domain: Machine Lord Field of a Spirit Mechanic. The old Timeless Tower was also the Machine Lord Field of Black Mechanic.

"Yes, sir. The Machine Lord Field has completely activated! I’ve gained complete territorial control of the Mechanized Sovereign Tower!"

Jacob nodded in acknowledgement, as he knew a SNIM could generate a Network Domain, an area where it became the absolute controller of all tech-based systems. In this domain, magic tech can be disabled, rewritten, or reprogrammed in real-time as long as it doesn’t exceed the power limit of a Spirit Mechanic.

Previously, the Timeless Tower actually wasn’t under complete control of the Black Mechanic because of the Primary Timeless Hourglass’s existence.

The Black Mechanic didn’t have access to some areas of the Timeless Tower, which significantly reduced the Machine Lord Field’s power, or it wouldn’t be so easy for Jacob to cause that chaos if this aspect were fully activated!

However, now, Black Mechanic has complete control over the Mechanized Sovereign Tower, and Jacob had no intention of obstructing it in any way because, first, Jacob wasn’t afraid that Black Mechanic would rebel against him. Second, the Mechanized Sovereign Tower was inside the Infinite Space, where Jacob was God!

After knowing that the Network Domain had been successfully activated, Jacob knew it was time to move to the next plan.

Jacob coldly ordered, "Alright, start working on the ’Nightmare Plan’!"
