Chapter 69: Dance of The Celestial Serpent
The words on the screen stunned and confused Khal at the same time and made him ponder.
When he chose the Moderate Level Secret Arts he naturally didn’t expect he would find a lot, but opposite to his assumption hundreds of different Secret Arts popped up. From close-combat types to long-range one’s, there were tons of different kinds of Arts which surprised him quite a bit; to think Moon Academy sold so many Secrets Art for free, it was amazing!
Yet, the moment he chose the type ‘Agility’ only one piece was found; this was quite difficult to understand.
“Is there a reason a specific why? Should they hide the stronger Agility type Secret Arts for a reason because they are too hard to learn?” this question made Khal wonder.
However, what he didn’t know was that Agility type Secret Arts were not hard to find because they were hidden from the public or because only powerful families had the chance to learn them, but simply because they were extremely rare!
Why? Because creating Secret Arts that boosted one’s agility and speed was not only hard but their concept was complex to make and understand. For example, Janna’s Heaven Slash was considered as a powerful Secret Art not only because of its devastating strength but also because it let the user to surpass human speed for a split second that would have been impossible to reach with normal means.
That’s why Heaven Slash was considered a bit of Agility type of Secret Arts even thought it was not.
But what happens if one tried to create an Art that not only boosted a single part of the body for a split second but the whole physique for a long time? Establishing such an Art was extremely hard but even if one succeeds with one, it should definitely be on the Cultivator Level. So finding one Agility-type Secret Art on the Moderate Level could be considered as a blessing right from the heavens!
“Well, if this is the only one here I should just take it, no?” with that said Khal extended his fingers and pressed ‘Collect’.
*Swish!*
Immediately a white light appeared before him in the air and after it took up the shape of a scroll it fell into Khal’s hand.
“So this is hiw a Secret Art looks like?” thought Khal as he examined the roll. It was a small, one-foot-long scroll with white color; on its middle, the Moon Academy’s emblem could be seen which was a full moon. Below the emblem small words were printed with black ink, saying ‘Dance of The Celestial Serpent’.
“I should learn it back in Blade Mountain.” said Khal and without hesitation opened the door into his ‘room’ and entered.

Somewhere inside Moon Academy, Logan was chilling on a chair with a casual look while before him Jas looked at him with a calm gaze from the other side of his desk.
“Why did you chose him?” breaking the silence that filled the room for straight 5 minutes Jas finally talked.
Logan who waited all this time patiently for Jas to start the conversation tilted his gaze from the picture on the side at Jas and smiled, “Because I found him interesting.”
“…”
“…”
Again, a complete lull descended on the room, making the two glance at each other in silence for quite a while.
Jas started at Logan’s indifferent expression for a very long time but still in the end smiled and lean back into his chair with his eyes closed.
“Logan… Did you lose your trust in me? The one who raised you?” asked Jas with a voice that was akin to a gentle grandpa.
“…”
Upon hearing the voice he heard long ago when he was still a kid, Logan raised his gaze at the ceiling and sighed helplessly.
“No, I still trust you the most out of everyone; even if God came to me personally that you lied I would turn around with a laugh. No, the reason why I don’t want to say the reason behind why I choose Khal was because even if I told you, you wouldn’t believe me.”
Jas opened his eyes after Logan started that and knitted his brows tightly. Logan, a guy who never lied about matters that included important and serious topics, said he wouldn’t believe him even if he told him? Now that made his curiosity even greater.
“You are wrong. I would definitely believe you.” smiled Jas and leaned forward, “So? Why did you choose him and why did you decide to give him the Moon Robe?”
“…” Logan lowered his gaze from above and looked at Jas.
“Sigh… Okay, I tell you. But don’t come at me that I am an idiot later.”
“I won’t,” replied Jas without the slightest sign of sarcasm while only solid gravity was visible on his face.
As Logan heard this he nodded and said, “If I am right, Khal is just like me; someone who can obtain different powers through special means.”
“Why do you think so?” asked Jas as he raised his crossed fingers before his mouth, but the mixed doubt and shock was still visible deep inside his eyes.
“First, his aura. He has not a bit of presence until he starts fighting.”
“That doesn’t explain anything. There are loads of way to hide one’s au-.”
“I’m talking about his existence itself as presence.” said Logan before Jas could finish his sentence and continued, “As you know, Cultivators has a slight aura around them thanks to their Talent. It’s a kind of presence that any living organism has no matter what until they hold a Talent; and that’s why you can’t hide it, but I know you are aware of it too.”
“Yes.” nodded Jas lightly, “Your second reason?”
“It’s also about his presence, but at the moment he fights. I told you that I went into the wild with him right?”
“Yes.”
“At that time when he slew his first few creatures he had one single aura thanks to ‘his’ Talent. But there happened to be an accident when he was attacked by a Razor Hound; at that time his weapon was smashed to pieces.”
“And?” raised an eyebrow Jas not understanding what he wanted to say.
But Logan wasn’t angry about that and just explained calmly, “At that moment, something happened that I still can’t understand how. The very instant his weapon was crushed into pieces his presence changed visibly; it was like he suddenly obtained another Talent but at the same time not. What’s more ever since then he is able to summon the exact same weapon he used before losing; it’s strange.”
Jas’s complexion seemed to undergo different emotions as he listened to Logan’s story and leaned back into his chair once again.
After thinking for a while Jas hummed slightly and asked, “Who else knows about this?”
“With you now, only the two of us.”
“I see.” nodded Jas mildly and after pondering for a whole minute, he talked, his words holding extreme solemnity.
“Let’s say you are right and he truly has similar powers thanks to ‘that’. What will you do?”
Logan heard this and his expression turned complicated instantly and could only say one thing.
“I… Don’t know.”
