With a single wave of his weapon, Khal caused the air around him to tremble and explode like a bomb, sending all the beasts to fly away in an instant.

“It worked!” Thought Khal happily as he looked at the fan in his hand.

Since the moment he had been teleported into this hell-like forest by his teacher, Khal realized quite a few things, including a very interesting trait about his weapon.

The very first thing he has learned was that creatures on the same Cultivation Stage as him could not harm him at all.

Thanks to his Heaven’s Eyes that enhanced both his reaction and thinking speed, Khal was able to avoid the creatures attacks as easily as taking a stroll in a park.

But this was only true when a single creature attacked him. When it came to the moment where he needed to deal with more than one beast at the same time, well, that was when things turned extremely tough for him.

Every time he was attacked by more than one creature, Khal realized that they always ambushed him in a manner where he had a hard time to escape.

They surrounded and trapped him like some kind of weak and pathetic rabbit, which had no choice at all but to wait to be slain.

If it were any other cultivator with a weak will or Talent, they would have been killed a very long time ago, but luckily, Khal had neither a weak will nor a weak Talent.

With the help of his Heaven’s Eyes, with which he avoided the attacks and looked for routes, and with his weapon in its fan mode that he used as a shield, Khal was able to escape from death’s grab several times.

Naturally, it came with consequences, but except for a few deep wounds that appeared on his body each time he escaped, nothing serious happened with him.

However, when the occasions where he needed to escape because he was trapped accumulated, Khal realized that it was only a matter of time until death really catches him.

Maybe the creatures were low in IQ, but they had a terrifying learning capability. Whenever Khal escaped their ambush, they learned from their previous mistakes and tried once again.

Every attempt of their had fewer and fewer mistakes, while Khal’s situation became harder and harder.

And when things eventually had become extremely dire for Khal, because all of his escape routes had been cut, that’s when he discovered his weapon’s special characteristic.

By channeling his own Essence into the fan through the small gap and the help of his finger, Khal was able to fire out his Essence through the 5 small gaps on the weapon like bullets.

Each time he swung his fan, he was able to fire hair-thin projectiles, killing the creatures around him like flies.

And what was even greater, the attack he created, differed from the amount of Essence he poured into the fan.

For example, if he poured 10% of his Body Essence into his weapon, he was able to create a huge explosion, just like he did now. However, if he just spilled a tiny amount, less than 1% of his Essence into the fan, he was able to fire his Essence in the shape of bullets as thin as his hair!

To put it simply, with this new trait of his fan, Khal was able to attack enemies in both close and long-range, while defending at the same time.

“Unfortunately, I only have a single piece from this weapon. If I had another one, killing these creatures would have been kid’s play.”

Watching as several of the creatures stood up after the explosion, while a few remained in the ground motionless, Khal decided not to wait.

With a swift and fast movement, Khal approached the closest wolf that has already stood up but still felt dizzy and swung his fan.

With pouring blood and spilling organs, Khal cut the beast’s body perfectly in half, making the other few wolves in the distance to cry up in agony because of their companion’s death.

“Next!” thought Khal ignoring the howls and without wasting time, appeared before the next wolf.

Like a reaper in the night collecting its victims’ souls from the shadows, Khal moved with swiftness from creature to creature and took their lives away.

One by one, Khal has finished off all the beasts that tried to take his life and when he chopped the final wolf’s head off, looked around.

The sight around him was like a picture from hell itself. Split and ripped corpses around the place with blood painting the ground and trees everywhere.

It was a complete and chaotic mess for sure.

However, even though the scenery currently was extremely sickening and disturbing, Khal’s expression was as nonchalant as ever.

“Great job kid!” sounded a voice suddenly from the side, making Khal to turn his head toward the voice’s direction in an instant.

“Logan!” said Kahl, and looked a bit irritated.

Since the moment he has been teleported here and fought for his life, Logan did nothing but watch.

Naturally, Khal could somewhat understand his reason, because iron only got stronger when it was under intense fire, but still, if it weren’t for his weapon, he would have died for sure!

Logan however didn’t care at all. Khal was 100% sure, if he wouldn’t have found out his weapon’s secret usage, his teacher wouldn’t have helped him. He would have let him die as easily as taking a gentle breath!

“Come on, don’t look at me like that. Instead, go and start consuming the Beast Essence before they vanish.” said Logan with the same smile etched on his face and pointed toward the corpses on the side.

When Khal heard this, he glanced to the side, only to see as the blood, organs, and the corpses on the ground slowly started to move and turn into a yellowish, liquid-like substance in the air.

“So that should be the Beast Essence.” thought Khal and without hesitation walked forward.

While looking at the several yellow lights around the place, Khal sat down slowly, and after closing his eyes, started to consume the Beast Essence around him.

Just like the moment when he cultivated in the cave in Blade Mountain, the moment the Beast Essence vanished into his body, Khal felt a same refreshing sensation sweeping through his core, making a slight smile emerge on his face.

“With so many Beast Essence around, I will definitely able to reach the Second Cultivation Stage.” thought Khal with a grin, but the next second, a voice appeared in his head, making his body to stiffen instantly.

Instantly as those words sounded in Khal’s head, the Beast Essence that was about to flow into his Power Core suddenly halted, and like obtaining its own will, it started to move toward his heart.
