Chapter 152: Summoner Talent
“Sure! However, it may be a bit complex to understand as this will be your first time hearing about Martial Arts in greater detail so try not to get bored so easily.” laughed Theon wryly, seemingly worried Khal will get bored quite easily.
Khal however obviously understood Theon’s worry hence just smiled and said, “Haha, do not worry at all. Just how complex can it be for me not getting the hang of it? It’s not like you ask me to understand atom physics, right?.”
“Atom physics?” Theon seemed to be confused by that unknown definition for which Khal just waved his hand, “Haha, it’s nothing, just a stupid phrase. But anyway, it can’t be that complex, right?”
“Do you really want me to answer that?” asked Theon, without any sign of sarcasm in his tone or on his face.
“Well…” Khal now began to realize that maybe this world’s Martial Arts were completely different from the one he knew from his past world and began to suspect that maybe it was really as complex as atom physics.
“Well, what is the most important here is that if you have any questions ask it right away or the concept will be very confusing in the end. Okay?”
“Okay…” nodded Khal, making Theon start his explanation about Martial Arts concepts quite spiritedly.
And until they talked, or at least Theon talked and Khal listened intently, inside the Digital World things began to finally accelerate.
It turned out that the section where Khal and Rubie fought with Seila began to collapse, forcing Seila to head toward the next section.
Stepping onto the bridge just to meet with the powerful storm that tried to push her off, Seila seemed a bit exhausted and even struggled to remain on her feet, but held out really well.
Walking all the way to the other side of the bridge where another section was, Seila checked if there were anyone in her surroundings but find out with great relief that there were none.
She could finally rest and concentrate on recovering her depleted power and physical strength after such a long time.
Though, she didn’t have a lot of time for that as the next restriction would happen about 2 hours later and who could foresee which section will collapse next.
It could even be hers once again and if that happens she could do nothing but head toward the next section where the possibility of meeting others was a verdict.
There were 2 sections next to hers and out of them, both held one Cultivator each, pushing her fate more and more toward the worst-case scenario.
“I can’t believe myself that I became so pathetic! This is simply a shame that no blood can erase!” Seila’s deep groan could be heard through the screen, causing many to hold their lips tightly shut.
It was not like they didn’t agree with that statement, but instead, because they did and couldn’t help but feel sympathy.
Just who could have thought such an outline could happen? Who could have guessed that a Fifth Stage Cultivator will be forced to such an extent where she had to play her ace, her most powerful move twice? And against opponents below her Cultivation Stage to make things even worse!
Everything that happened with Seila could be said unexpected and unfortunate as both of her opponents were no normal Cultivators. Each held extreme strength and powerful Talents and skills that not even a Natural Born was able to easily take care of.
No matter how ‘obvious’ it felt for spectators that she should have killed those two without struggle, any Cultivator with at least a bit of brain should know Seila had no easy time at all.
It was like she fought not two Four Stage Cultivators but two experts on her level! Even though there should have been disparity, there was none which was crazy!
“Moon Academy and Skywave Academy was it? Hmm… It seems I must take a little tour once all this ends,” murmured Elder Caz as he was calmly sitting in his chair, his eyes tightly shut.
He seemed angry that her disciple was forced into such a pathetic state, but in the end, she still won.
Lost limb? Any magic pill or herb can regrow a lost arm or leg so that is not a problem at all.
Lost pride? Only weak Cultivators think that way. Instead of mourning over a loss or defeat, use that emotion generated from those defeats to motivate and push yourself onto greater heights.
Elder Caz knew that this was a great lesson for Seila and this will only make her stronger than ever. It could even be said those two were a critical stepstone in her cultivation path toward a much greater future!
Time passed seemingly in silence, and the time for restriction finally appeared.
Everyone was keenly staring at the map to see which zone was about to collapse but to their surprise, it was neither of those that had a red dot.
Upon seeing this, spectators groaned up regretfully as they had to wait 2 more hours to see action once again.
On the other hand, however, the remaining 3 participants sighed up with relief when they saw it was not they who had to run.
It seemed the gods above were watching them, helping them to recover as much energy as much they could before the final clash was about to take place.
Another 2 hours have passed and restriction occurred once again.
“Let’s see then.”
Everyone’s gaze was fixed on the map and a second later a section with a red dot began to slowly fade away!
“Haha, the heavens really are against her!” laughed Elder Caz as he watched Seila run toward the next bridge that will lead her to the next section and her next opponent.
With the help of a powerful Secret Art Seila reached the other end of the section in no time at all and didn’t hesitate to jumper onto the bridge as the ground below her feet was about to vanish.
And just as always, the moment she was on the bridge a powerful wind crashed into her body, almost pushing her off into the water below. But thanks to her 4 hours of preparation she was able to recover to some degree hence resisting the storm didn’t pose her a problem at all.
However, just as she began to move, she noticed as the red dot on the section where she was currently heading suddenly moved and began to approach her.
It was apparent that the other Cultivator was planning to kill while her strength was restricted because of the storm.
“Hmph…” with a cold snort Seila tightened her grasp around the hilt of her sword and began to walk.
Thanks to the small length of the bridge it didn’t take her long before reaching the other section, but the sight that waited for her surprised her.
At the edge of the section, a guy in a brown robe that was embedded with different-sized crystals was standing calmly, on his side 2 creatures similar to lions could be seen.
The only difference was that the creature’s color was red, their eyes and razor-sharp teeth and claws abyss black while the fur around their necks was blazing with wildly white fire!
“Summoner-type Talent!”
