At the westernmost outskirts of the Western Continent, a group of Eclipse members stood along a vast coastline. Before them stretched an endless ocean, its waves crashing against the shore as a strong sea breeze swept across the area.

Old Fu stood at the front of the group, gazing toward the distant horizon. One of the cultivators looked at the enormous ocean before asking hesitantly, “Old Fu, are we really supposed to cross this entire ocean?”

Old Fu nodded calmly. “That's right.”

Another cultivator took out the map Qiu Wuyin had distributed to the members of Eclipse and carefully examined it. The map clearly showed a large stretch of land directly across the ocean, yet when he looked toward the horizon, there was nothing but endless blue water.

“But is this map reliable?” he asked doubtfully. “It clearly shows land ahead of us, but we can't see anything.”

Old Fu glanced at the map before calmly explaining, “According to the information Qiu Wuyin gathered, that land really exists. It's not another continent either. It's still considered part of the Western Continent.”

The cultivators exchanged surprised glances.

“Then why have we never heard about it?”

Old Fu shook his head. “That's the strange part. The land is separated from the rest of the Western Continent by this vast ocean. The connection between the two regions was cut off for an unknown reason, and no one knows exactly what happened.”

He pointed toward the land marked on the map.

“According to the map, there is a massive region directly across this ocean. If we follow the route marked here, we should eventually reach it.”

One of the cultivators frowned as he looked toward the seemingly endless sea. “How far is it?”

“Far enough that you won't be able to see the land from here,” Old Fu replied.

The cultivators fell silent.

An unexplored region hidden beyond a vast ocean...

Old Fu folded the map and looked toward the horizon. “That's precisely why we're going.”

The other cultivators nodded.

Their mission was to establish an Eclipse base and search for powerful cultivators. If this mysterious region truly existed, it might contain exactly the kind of hidden powerhouse they had been ordered to find.

Old Fu stepped toward the coastline.

“Let's cross the ocean.”

The Eclipse members didn't waste any more time. After confirming their direction, they released their spiritual energy and soared into the sky, flying across the vast ocean.

At first, everything went smoothly. The sea below them stretched endlessly, while the sky remained clear and calm. They continued forward at high speed, expecting the journey to be nothing more than a long flight.

However, after traveling for some distance, the weather suddenly changed.

Dark clouds rapidly gathered above them, and powerful winds began to howl across the sky. Lightning flashed between the clouds as enormous waves rose from the ocean below.

Old Fu's expression became serious. “Be careful.”

The group immediately slowed down and attempted to push through the storm. However, the moment they advanced, the wind became even more violent. The pressure in the air grew heavier, and lightning repeatedly struck around them.

One of the Nascent Soul cultivators gritted his teeth and released more spiritual energy. “Let's keep going!”

They continued trying to cross the ocean again and again, but no matter how hard they tried, the storm only became more violent whenever they attempted to advance. Their spiritual energy was constantly consumed just to resist the wind, while the lightning made flying extremely dangerous.

Eventually, Old Fu raised his hand.

“Retreat.”

The Eclipse members reluctantly turned around and flew back toward the coastline. The moment they moved away from the mysterious region, the violent storm gradually disappeared.

The dark clouds dispersed.

The wind weakened.

The sky became clear once again, as if the storm had never existed.

The cultivators stared at the calm sky behind them with complicated expressions.

One of them frowned. “What just happened?”

“It's strange,” another cultivator muttered. “The weather was perfectly clear before we flew across the ocean. The moment we tried to cross it, that storm appeared.”

Old Fu narrowed his eyes toward the distant horizon.

“It wasn't a natural storm.”

Everyone became silent.

Old Fu looked at the map in his hand. The land was clearly marked across the ocean, yet some unknown force seemed to prevent them from reaching it through the air.

“It's almost as if…” one cultivator muttered, “we're not allowed to fly across.”

Old Fu's expression became thoughtful.

“A restriction?”

The others exchanged glances.

One of the cultivators suddenly suggested, “Let's try using a ship.”

Old Fu looked at him before slowly nodding. “That's worth trying.”

The members of Eclipse traveled to a nearby city in search of a ship. The city was located along the coastline and served as a small port, with most of its income coming from fishing and trade with nearby coastal settlements.

Unlike the cities they had encountered before, this place had no prominent family, powerful cultivator, or influential sect. Most of the people living there were ordinary mortals who made their living from the sea.

The spiritual energy in the area was also extremely thin.

For an ordinary person, cultivating here was practically impossible. Even someone with decent talent would struggle to make meaningful progress, making the region almost worthless to cultivators.

The Eclipse members quickly noticed this.

“This place has such thin spiritual energy,” one of the cultivators muttered as he swept his spiritual sense across the city.

Another nodded. “There isn't even a powerful family here.”

Old Fu glanced around the port before looking toward the fishing boats docked along the shore.

“Then don't waste any time here. We're only here to find a ship.”

The members of Eclipse nodded.

They had been ordered to search for powerful cultivators and establish their influence throughout the Western Continent. A poor mortal city with almost no spiritual energy had little value to them.

There was no reason to invest resources into it.

Their only purpose here was to find a suitable ship capable of carrying them across the vast ocean.

As the Eclipse members walked deeper into the port, the smell of seawater and freshly caught fish filled the air. Fishermen shouted to one another as they unloaded their catches, while merchants gathered around the docks to purchase the day's harvest.

Old Fu approached one of the vendors near the busy port and asked, “Where can we rent a ship?”

The vendor pointed toward another section of the harbor. “There should be several captains over there. You can ask them.”

Old Fu nodded and led the Eclipse members in that direction.

After walking for a while, they arrived at a larger dock where several ships were anchored. Among them was a sturdy vessel that appeared capable of traveling long distances across the sea.

Old Fu approached the captain standing beside it and asked, “Can we rent your ship? We need to cross the sea.”

The captain turned around and was immediately stunned.

Standing before him was an elderly-looking man with an extraordinary presence. Although Old Fu did not deliberately release any spiritual pressure, the dignity naturally radiating from him made the captain instinctively straighten his posture.

He quickly bowed respectfully. “Of course, sir. But may I ask where you're planning to go?”

Old Fu didn't answer immediately. Instead, he took out the map that Qiu Wuyin had distributed to the members of Eclipse and unfolded it in front of the captain.

“We're going here.”

He pointed toward the large stretch of land marked across the ocean.

The captain stared at the map.

His expression gradually became confused.

“Sir… are you certain this is where you want to go?”

Old Fu nodded. “Yes.”

The captain looked at the map again before pointing toward the marked land. “But… there isn't any land there.”

Old Fu's brows furrowed slightly.

“What do you mean?”

The captain hesitated before explaining, “I've sailed these waters for most of my life. There is nothing there except the vast ocean. No island, no coastline, nothing.”

The Eclipse members exchanged glances.

Old Fu looked down at the map and then toward the distant sea.

“But this map clearly shows land.”

The captain shook his head. “I've never seen such a place, sir.”
