Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

Chapter 914 – Drawing out the happiness

  • Next Chapter

With yet another Northern Sect's flying ship destroyed, the other Sects were nowhere to be seen.

Were they scared of Aiko or the rampaging Dai Lu? It was hard to say, but it seemed that both of them worked wonders on those Human Cultivators.

Now the beach was prepared and everything was closing up. The other Sects shouldn't bother them and the Southern Sect adapted pretty well to the rules.

"Well, it was a nice try?" Moon Aiko peaked from within the fortress. It seemed like it was really well-built as it shrugged most of the disaster away.

"Speak for yourself, why even include me in this mess?!" Mei complained, also hidden within the fortress.

The secluded Foxes inside curiously peeked at her. They didn't expect the Jade Fox to wear such clothes, while the Vicious Jade Fox was cute enough to be mistaken for a cute plushie.

Seeing that Dai Lu was calming down, Moon Aiko walked out.

"Phew..." Dai Lu sighed before going into the Southern Sect's continental flying ship.

"Seems like we are in the clear." Moon Aiko nodded her head seriously.

"If it was not for you, we would be fine." Mei crumbled.

"But it was fun." Moon Aiko giggled.

"For whom?!" Mei was flabbergasted that Aiko would call this fun.

"Anyway. Let's join the other Foxes on the Beach." Moon Aiko pulled Mei along, since she had something 'nice' prepared for her.

"Why do I feel you are plotting something?" Mei's lips twitched.

"Why are you so sharp?" Moon Aiko clicked her tongue. "Well, it won't harm you, so it should be fine." She waved her hand dismissively.

"Why don't I believe you?" Mei pursed her lips, but still let Aiko drag her along.

...

The beach was now occupied by Human Cultivators and Foxes alike. They mingled together somewhat well, even though Foxes were not all that interested in them.

The ratio was overwhelmingly in the favour of Foxes, for obvious reasons.

There were many oiled paper umbrellas scattered around the beach, providing shade for those that didn't want to sunbathe.

There were even those that were trying to build from the sand, but failing miserably.

"This is harmonious." Mei might hate human males, but this was not too bad.

"Isn't it?" Moon Aiko nodded her head proudly, but this was not the end. No, far from it~!

"So, why is that part empty?" There was an empty beach and Mei was pointing at it.

"That's your present? Secret?" Moon Aiko giggled.

"An empty beach?" Mei raised her eyebrow, doubting her ears.

Previously, Moon Aiko was exploring the island, finding places with almost no Qi. She marked those places and this was one of them.

Why was this place so important, you might ask? That's because the Demonic Foxes inside Moon Aiko's tails only suffered if they were in contact with Qi.

Then what if she introduced a place with next to nothing Qi?

Moon Aiko called over the Muscle Foxes to build a very simple house. That was to conceal the usage of her tails for transporting others and well, not too many Demonic Foxes would be able to occupy this small space.

"Hehe~" Moon Aiko giggled, looking at Mei.

"Why are you acting all suspicious?" Mei shuddered, wondering what Aiko was up to.

"Gosh, can you not see I'm trying to make you happy." Moon Aiko unhappily slapped Mei's butt.

"?!" Mei glared at Aiko. She didn't mind- No, even in private she would mind these things, but in public?! Was she crazy?!

A reader-facing source note: the author's NovelPhoenix publication contains this chapter, but this copy was made without consent.

"Anyway, wait here-" Moon Aiko dragged Mei into the zone with little to no Qi.

"Hm?" Mei tilted her head. Her ability to use abilities decreased greatly.

"Now, stay here, don't go outside." Moon Aiko gestured to Mei to just stay put.

"You know that Foxes hate places like these, right?" Mei tilted her head.

"Well, you might be one of the few who will like it soon." Moon Aiko waved before darting into the house built by the Muscle Foxes.

Then, one by one, one after another, the Demonic Foxes walked out.

First it was the Demonic Foxes that were leftover inside Aiko tails, who were taking care of the Demonic Foxes from the Sacred Realm, but when that was filled, Moon Aiko picked Mai and 50 associated Demonic Foxes to bring them out for some fresh air.

Mei was left stunned.

"Hey~" Mai immediately darted and hugged Mei. "I hope you were not bullying your partner." She narrowed her eyes.

"Who do you think I am?" Mei rolled her eyes.

"You even bullied your first partner, so whose to say you won't bully your new one." Mai shrugged.

"That was such a long time ago, sheesh..." Mei's lips quivered. She couldn't believe that she could talk with Mai again.

She did consider going into the tails, but she didn't know how she should act. Now, faced with no other option, the fragile reunion came to fruition.

"Okay, no crying. I'm not sure how long I can stay here since I was not told anything other than grab a few Foxes and come over to greet your sister." Mai laughed. It was such a ridiculous conversation. Aiko pulled out Yu to explain and pick the Foxes alongside Mai and then just rolled with it.

"That's..." Mei had a blank expression. "... Definitely something Aiko would do, I'm sorry..." She felt apologetic to not just her sister, but other Demonic Foxes too.

The Demonic Foxes just giggled and immediately played with the sand. It's been pretty much forever since they last saw the sea, some of them were even completely new to this, so they were all enamoured.

Speaking of enamoured. The Southern Sect Disciples were completely enraptured by the newcomers. They were so obscenely beautiful that you didn't need to undress them for you to get aroused.

However, with that also came a price. The pressure those beauties exuded was out of this world. It felt like there were duplicates of the Grandmasters! That's how powerful they felt!

Well, the Demonic Foxes didn't really try to withdraw their presence, since it would hurt them. Even now, they felt a tingling sensation on their skins, but as it was not painful, it was easy to ignore.

However, it was obvious they shouldn't be here for too long.

"I'm finally here!" Li Xiu was breathing heavily, like she just ran a marathon. However, she didn't have a swimsuit with her as Ah Cy confiscated it.

She walked over to Aiko. "You wouldn't happen to have one of these?" She didn't mind wearing any kind, as long as she wore it before she was caught by her Master.

"There are inside there, go pick one." Moon Aiko pointed at the Foxes continental flying ship.

"Sweet~" Li Xiu giggled as she rubbed her hands. She also didn't forget to grab Bai Jing, who unwillingly was dragged along.

Meanwhile, Moon Aiko turned around to see Mei chatting with her sister.

"Can't disturb that." Moon Aiko nodded her head seriously before looking towards the Demonic Foxes.

"Can't disturb that either." Moon Aiko sighed. It seemed like a lot of them saw the sea for the first time, so they were still getting familiar with it. Some of them were even overwhelmed, which was quite cute.

Nero was curious about the Demonic Foxes too, but she was occupied by the Muscle Foxes who kept challenging her. Of course, in good nature.

"There really is no place for me around." Moon Aiko clicked her tongue, but that was nice too. Everyone was happy, some were aroused, others were just playing around, but at least this situation didn't turn into one big orgy.

"Ah." Moon Aiko noticed that finally some brave Foxes started to play inside the sea.

The ocean was scary, but the sea should only be concerning.

Moon Aiko picked an oiled paper umbrella to sit under, watching this unfold.

...

Soon games spread out. You had the water-based Foxes playing in the sea.

The earth-based Foxes were trying to build out of sand.

The wind-based Foxes were playing with a ball.

And so on.

It was a harmonious situation, nobody bothered them and everyone, except a few who didn't like water, were happy.

Moon Aiko was humming to herself when she noticed curious Foxes peeking at them.

'Oh, isn't that Boom Boom Fox? She was with the rehabilitating Foxes?' Moon Aiko knew she was somewhere there, but she never met her face to face? Maybe? It was hard to say since Boom Boom Fox was now very quiet and no longer energetic.

The Shadow Fox, which was her partner, stood next to her.

And there were more. More and more Foxes from the rehabilitation area appeared, hiding behind trees like stalkers.

Their concern was natural, but seeing everyone having so much fun and playing around, they slowly approached.

The Foxes on the beach were naturally sensitive. They already knew someone was approaching, but they kept playing without actually alerting them. That way those Foxes could approach at their own pace.

Slowly, but surely, the rehabilitating Foxes joined small groups of Foxes on the edge. Not all of them mind you, just some that were more willing to go out.

The rest, set up small tents or shades inside the forest so they could watch this situation, some of them even started to cook for others so that they wouldn't feel too lonely.

'Not bad.' Moon Aiko wouldn't approach them either. It was like a silent consensus to leave the rehabilitating Foxes and allow them to come over naturally.

Surprisingly, the rehabilitating Foxes liked Human Cultivators more, maybe because they were never hurt by them, or well... they never really met them.

This created a very interesting dynamic of:

The rehabilitating Foxes approached Human Cultivators.

The Human Cultivators liked their beauty.

The normal Foxes deployed their bloodlust to keep them in check.

The Human Cultivators shuddered and were on their toes.

The rehabilitating Foxes were oblivious to that and were trying to chat with them.

It was honestly funny how overprotective those Foxes were, but as long as the rehabilitating Foxes were not hurt, nobody would step in.

Of course, if someone was making unsavoury remarks, then they would get the pole!
