Chapter 912 – Running around the island

A certain Fox, liked by many, burst through the doors and into the wider world.

The surrounding Foxes were startled momentarily, thinking that she was on a rampage.

She had many nicknames, some silly, while others concerning, like the Vicious Jade Fox.

A beauty that will destroy your ability to sit and engage in normal socialisation.

Just imagining it made every Fox excited.

"I did see what you saw." The Southern Grandmaster nodded his head.

"Then unsee it." The Fox Grandmaster snorted unhappily.

"Well..." The Southern Grandmaster raised his eyebrow as he scanned the Foxy in front of him.

"Don't even think about it, or I will turn into Vicious Fox." The Fox Grandmaster glared at him.

"Then I will keep that sight in my memory." The Southern Grandmaster smiled happily.

"You are blackmailing me?!" The Fox Grandmaster was flabbergasted.

"Who is blackmailing who? I believe there is nothing wrong with me committing that image to my memory." The Southern Grandmaster shrugged.

"You-" The Fox Grandmaster's eyes quivered and she drew her sword.

"Oh? Time for sparring?" The Southern Grandmaster laughed. He would lose in direct confrontation, but that was only if she was not agitated. And as long as he was just defending, he should be fine.

He drew his sword, ready to parry anything that went his way.

The Fox Grandmaster opened with a spinning slash, which was followed with 5 Qi Swords.

"Gosh." The Southern Grandmaster wondered if she really wanted to kill him, but he was able to parry the spin, and dodge the subsequent swords.

"Don't run." She glared at him sharply.

"I'm not running, it's called dodge." He smiled and explained graciously. "It's what you do when you either can't block an attack or when it's cheaper to dodge it."

Her eyes almost rolled back. He dared to lecture her?! After she lectured him so much?!

She slid her front leg forward. Lowering her centre of gravity and with it her whole body. Her sword dug into the earth as she made a beautiful rising arc.

*Clang*

He blocked it again, but residual energy scratched his cheek and shoulder.

"Tsk." He clicked his tongue. He was sure that he blocked it, but it seemed like he was still lacking.

"Who is laughing now, huh?" She pouted at him. She didn't want to hurt him, but it was really hard to adjust her strength when she was like this.

"Humu." He hummed briefly before-

"You are really running away?!" She was flabbergasted at his display.

He smiled at her. "It's called tactical retreat. You do it when-"

"Alright! I have had enough!" She lowered her whole body once again, but this time her tails behind her body shone ever-so-slightly.

"Y-you-!" He panicked, throwing things out of his Spatial Ring to slow her down.

"I will beat you up today!" She yelled at him, but she was tackled in some kind of soft cloth strips.

"W-wait! That's supposed to be part of your presents!" He panicked when he saw he accidentally threw it out.

"Why are you throwing it out then?!" She thrashed inside those cloth strips.

"Wait! Just wait! Don't tear it!" He yelped until she stopped.

"Phew..." He breathed a sight of relief that nothing broke or snapped.

But when he came closer, he had to take the sight in.

"What?" She kept glaring at him.

"You know, you are quite the presents." He stroked his chin.

"Wha-!" She blushed. "I will bite your head off!" She bared her fangs at him.

He came close to her, fearlessly. "Now, now, don't be like that. I'm just replacing the previous memory with this one."

"You don't have to believe me, but I will bite you." She kept showing her fangs.

"Just don't use them when it's just us, okay?" He chuckled, but...

"Ack! Wait! Stop, you will tear it! You can kick me later, just don't thrash around right now!" She kept kicking him for his unneeded comments.

"Hmpf." She snorted unhappily, turning away.

Seeing her all pouting, he smiled even more and patted her head.

"I'm going to kill you." She glared at him sharply.

"Yes, yes, but not before I unwrap you like the present you are." He smiled at her even more.

"You shameless-!" Her ears twitched, and her face was completely red. Where was that clumsy guy from years ago!? That cute guy that you wanted to tease?!

He scooped her up, still wrapped in those cloth strips.

*Chomp*

"Ack!" He cried out when he felt her fangs sinking into his shoulder.

"Hmpf." She snorted unhappily, blood dripping from the corner of her mouth.

He cleaned that blood with a handkerchief, so that she wouldn't dirty her clothes.

"So it's not enough you bully me, but now you even treat me like a child, huh?!" She glared at him, but this kind of glare was very different to before. It was closer to annoyance than hate.

"Well, we are both children. One just likes unwrapping presents and the other one is the pr- Okay! Okay! I will be quiet!" When he saw her baring her fangs again, he immediately folded like a tree during a storm.

"Just you wait, once I get out-" She glared at him.

"Yes, yes, just stay still for now." He chuckled.

They slowly walked towards a nearby cabin, while hiding within a powerful concealing formation...

The Vicious Jade Fox was chased all around the island until the Jade Fox yelled at her.

"So this was your plan!?" Was she enraged or speechless? Probably both.

"I have no idea what you are talking about~" The Vicious Jade Fox hummed as she kept running.

Well, certainly. Now that the whole island saw them like this, there wouldn't be any challenger, but what was more...

"That swimsuit was..."

"Gorgeous... And those outlines."

"I know right? I would bite immediately."

"Should we...?"

"We definitely should."

"Yeah."

And so, the number of ordered swimsuits octuple...

"Tsk." Bai Jing needed to learn how to make Divinations quicker, otherwise she would be in a lot of trouble in the future.

"Did you just click your tongue at me?" Li Xiu was speechless, some friend she was-!

"You are imagining things." Bai Jing said seriously.

"In the same way you are imagining my swimsuit?" Li Xiu glared at her.

Bai Jing looked away. She had nothing to say about that.

"That's it, you are going into that swimsuit with me." Li Xiu decided for her friend.

"No-!" Bai Jing thrashed around, but who was Li Xiu? She was a Southern Saintess that beat the other Saints and Saintesses unconscious, so Bai Jin had nothing on her!

"Phew..." Moon Aiko stopped running. It seemed like they already circled the island a few times.

*tackle**Crash*

"I... got... you..." Mei was breathing heavily, clearly exhausted from all that running.

"I heard that daily runs can- Ack!" Moon Aiko was bitten by Mei?!

"Why?!" Moon Aiko cried out.

"That was for using me like that. Hmpf." Mei snorted unhappily. Who knew that her Aiko would plot something like that.

"But you were the one who started chasing me? It's not like I did anything to warrant- Ack!" Moon Aiko cried out again as she was bitten again.

Not too harshly mind you, but it couldn't be said to be playful either.

"You are going into a swimsuit, right now!" If Mei had to be in this embarrassing situation, then Aiko would be too!

"Okay." Moon Aiko readily agreed, making Mei speechless.

"You didn't plan this too, right?" Mei's face twitched.

"Hold on. Everyone is giving me too much credit for things I never did!" Moon Aiko retorted.

"Sure, sure." Mei didn't believe a word for it. If everything around Aiko was a coincidence, then where was the supposed jinx?! Because that jinx would absolutely destroy the whole Mortal World!
