Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox
Chapter 910 – Control Node
Moon Aiko frowned as she tried to figure out the location of the control 'node'. She thought she already found it, but someone used that one as a dud.
She was now completely convinced that this was man-made, in which case, she should be able to learn how to create such Natural Formations herself.
The way the Qi twisted and revolved, abandoning the normal rules and just doing what the Natural Formation told them.
It was mesmerising art, but one that was hard to grasp without any instructions. Moon Aiko had to pretty much learn from scratch when it came to this.
Arrays and Formation did help her slightly, but there were no Runes to decipher, so she had to rely on her vague knowledge.
However, she was not alone.
"This doesn't seem like the central 'node' as you said. That is because it would collapse the forest to the left of the beach." Mei gestured as she was trying to help out Aiko with her knowledge.
Hell, she never even considered that it would be possible to learn something like this, so she was looking forward to what Aiko would make.
"I see, then what locations could be used for it? The best ones?" Moon Aiko suggested going to the best ones and marking them as not the main 'node'.
She thought they might not be the main 'node' because that wouldn't let them conceal as easily.
"That would naturally be closer to the beach, but there are strange spikes of Qi in a few places, so let's walk around." Mei didn't know where it was exactly located, but she could figure out a thing or two about this place.
The main thing she was able to figure out was that this was an Array with Formation combined, but she didn't know if it was Formation Array, or Array Formation. Each of them had pros and cons, but the surprising thing was that both of them fit.
"Let's try that place first." Mei would guide Aiko around with her knowledge, while Aiko would tell her about Qi in the surrounding area.
"This is pretty complicated." It seemed that even Moon Aiko was not amused by this.
"If it was so easy to make, and maintain, maybe they wouldn't need to play around like this." Mei shrugged.
"If they are just playing around, then I feel insulted." Moon Aiko pouted.
"Because you couldn't see through them?" Mei chuckled, patting Aiko's back.
"I mean, yeah, my new eyes can see a lot of things, but even these eyes struggle with this place." Moon Aiko's eyes flickered like lanterns, making Mei pause.
There was no mistaking it. No, it could no longer be ignored. Aiko was part of 'that' Clan. It could've been a coincidence before, but these eyes are the staple of that Clan, and nobody outside of it can have them.
However, unlike those terrifying eyes, Aiko's were gentle.
It was kind of soothing that Mei wouldn't need to be afraid of Aiko.
"Why are you smiling?" Moon Aiko tilted her head. Did her eyes have some kind of special effect? In that case, Witch Aiko might like them more.
"Nothing. I'm just happy that I found you in the forest, even if you were a brat." Mei stuck out her tongue at Aiko.
"Well, you were pretty stuck-up before too." Moon Aiko shot back with her own tongue.
"No way." Mei was surprised by Aiko's words, but they couldn't be right.
*Slap*
"Damn right you were." Moon Aiko cackled before running away. And Mei, obviously chased after her...
...
"Phew." Moon Aiko wiped the non-existent sweat on her forehead, looking at Mei who was struggling to stay on her legs.
"This is so unfair, why do you have unlimited stamina..." Mei complained. She was supposed to be the dominant partner, but when it came to stamina, it felt impossible.

"Well, it's not like I don't have any issues because of it." Moon Aiko shrugged. She had so many troubles and problems with multiple species and everything surrounding it.
However, solving those issues and seeing those jumps in strength was pretty satisfying~!
"Fair. You are a mess." Mei sighed. There was a long road ahead, Mei just hoped that Aiko wouldn't suffer during the Human Body Stage.
'In a way, I should lead and provide when that time comes.' Mei was concerned she wouldn't be able to do it. She didn't have to do it in her life, since her first partner died and her second... Well... let's not talk about that one.
"Don't have to rub it in like that." Moon Aiko sighed and Mei came over to hug her softly.
"You really like being smothered." Mei giggled.
"As long as they are not as heavy as I'm." Moon Aiko didn't deny it. She believed that Mei's had the perfect amount of firmness and size for indulgence.
Mei caressed Aiko's head as she let her indulge. She knew she couldn't keep up her stubbornness, but for now, let's indulge herself a bit more. Just for a bit more...
...
Having her fill, Moon Aiko felt recharged.
"Why are you glowing when we didn't even have sex?" Mei shook her head.
"It was that good?" Moon Aiko tilted her head.
"Flattery won't get you anywhere." Mei blushed, slapping her shoulder for that teasing.
"But I think I would get in~" Moon Aiko smiled innocently.
"No." However, Mei stopped her. "I won't fall for this."
"But the next design is nice. It's something you would like." Moon Aiko knew how to press the right buttons when it came to getting something she really, really wanted.
"Ugh..." Mei couldn't keep pushing away. "I will only try it on once."
"YES!" Moon Aiko did a small jump with her fists. It was honestly cute, but Mei felt like she would regret it later.
But would she...?
"Where to go next?" Changing the topic, Mei asked about the density of Qi, so they could eliminate the 'hotspots'.
"Is there another one?" Moon Aiko pointed towards the south.
"No, that one can't be it, it would collapse the beach." Mei shook her head. This process repeated a few times until they were finally able to decide where to go.
And from there, it didn't take long to figure out the origin as there were fewer and fewer places where it could be located...
...
"The perfect middle point? Is that necessary?" If Moon Aiko knew that, she would be a lot quicker than they were together, but she didn't know, so it was pointless to think about it.
"It can't be helped. This is one of the perfect places for Array Formation." Mei sighed. She was done in and well at that! Whoever made this place deserved her respect.
"Gosh..." Moon Aiko sighed. At least they knew what they should be looking for.
"And you were slightly incorrect." Mei suddenly smirked.
"..." Moon Aiko just stared at 'them'.
"Don't even think about it." Mei covered her bosom, fearing Aiko's bite marks.
"Tsk." Moon Aiko clicked her tongue.
"Don't do that." Mei pouted. "Anyway. The beach is not the only place that gathers Qi. The mountain is too, but it's collecting only deep and pure Fire Qi." She explained before Aiko could do something with that mouth of hers.
"Oh?" Moon Aiko didn't expect that. Well, she knew the Fire Qi was suspiciously high, that's why she thought this was a Natural Treasure, but she never considered that part, considering the rocky terrain was used as a filter.
"The Fire Qi melts the deep sea Water Qi, meaning the rocky terrain doesn't need to work as hard to filter everything." It was not perfect, but this was the best plausible explanation Mei could give.
"That's nice." Moon Aiko nodded. If she could have access to Qi, then that would solve a lot of things.
"However, you can't use the other parts for Qi gathering. Only the beach and mountain can be used." Mei explained the limitations and possible dangerous situations if Aiko was not careful.
"I understand if it works like that, but why? The beach should have enough Qi and if he introduced more 'filters' on the rocky terrain, then he wouldn't need to settle for Fire Qi, no?" Moon Aiko was confused. Why didn't, whoever made this place, increase the amount of filters?
"I'm not sure." Mei shook her head. While she understood some things about this place. That didn't mean she understood everything.
"We will have to figure that out if I want to make this mine." Moon Aiko sighed. Even more work for her, but with Mei around, it shouldn't take too long.
"How about getting that swimsuit first?" Moon Aiko noticed that it was already getting dark, so it was probably time to visit the Clothier.
"Not yet." Mei shook her head.
"I know you are concerned, but I can promise you that your swimsuit isn't as easily 'accessible' as others are." Moon Aiko pouted. What did she do to learn this kind of distrust?!
"No, that's not it. The 'node' in this Array Formation moves." Mei sighed. They would have to chase it around if and find it again if they went back now.
"What the f-" Moon Aiko wanted to curse at the demon who made this place.
A 'node' that moves?! Were they crazy?! Do you understand how many more instructions this place has to include because of that?! Those instructions could've been used to increase the filters or pretty much anything, yet-
"Ah, then everything makes sense." Moon Aiko nodded her head. There were certain limits that if you wanted to 'breach', you had to maintain a certain capacity of Qi. That's where the mountain came in, but because Qi would love to spread around, forcibly keeping it in place would require more Qi to make that container and by that point you would be able to figure out this Naturally Unnatural Formation.
"En. Because it moves, we have missed it a few times already." Mei sighed.
"And because it's masked like this, my eyes or Divine Sense haven't adapted to it yet. Tsk, tsk, tsk." Moon Aiko now admired whoever made this place. Not only were they cunning, but they were skilled too! The worst combination if she wished to crack this place!
"I will help you." Mei kissed Aiko's forehead.
"Wha-" Moon Aiko didn't expect that and blushed red.
"Hm~" Mei licked her lips. Teasing Aiko was a lot of fun.
Moon Aiko quivered. Mei was definitely taking advantage of her, but she couldn't deny it... she enjoyed it!
"I'm not a masochist, dammit." Moon Aiko sniffled.
"Hm?" Mei was startled by Aiko's mood swing and wondered what was wrong this time...
