Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox
Chapter 891 – Vast Sea
The sea was in front of them and with that, several continental flying ships.
However, their size paled compared to what the Foxes created with their hands and hard work.
The Northern Sect, as one might expect, was hostile towards Aiko's entourage. Their ship was in dark blue and white, with certain strange symbols on the sides, probably their 'Sect Flag'.
The Eastern and Western Sects were cautious. Unlike the Northern Sect, they knew when to cut their losses, especially once they heard that the Foxes survived the Nightmare Forest without visible casualties. They did regret teaming up with the Northern Sect, but everyone believed the Divinators, so having that 'prediction' turned upside down was absurd.
Their ships were in light green and dark purple respectively. Their symbols were tamer compared to the Northern Sect's, making Moon Aiko wonder if the Northern Sect was really that powerful.
However, if they were truly that powerful, the Eastern and Western Sect would still be hostile towards her, so Moon Aiko didn't believe they were that strong.
Mei's continental flying ship landed and the main Foxes and Aiko's group jumped down.
This would usually happen when crossing the ocean. Everyone coming together to share a bit of information and possibly making an alliance to cross the ocean safely.
However, with the might of the Rune Saint, their continental flying ship didn't really need the help of the others, especially since the other Sects didn't seem to be the smartest.
Just then the Southern Sect also landed, it seems like they went away for a while, probably because they were bothered by the Northern Sect.
Their continental flying ship was multicoloured, but most of those colours were soothing and peaceful, like gentle green, white and blue, among other colours.
Their symbol was also the simplest, making Moon Aiko impressed and more inclined in helping them.
However, as she would not travel over the ocean with Mei, she would not voice her opinion about this.
"If it's not old friends." The Southern Sect's Grandmaster laughed.
"It seems like you are also coming." Dai Lu greeted him with a smile.
"Thanks to the breakthrough, the main Sect wants me back, can you believe it?" The Grandmaster grumbled. He didn't want to go, until he spotted her with the other Foxes.
"I can believe it. They are always self-centred, and they probably want to know how you achieve this." Dai Lu shrugged.
"Ah..." The Grandmaster nodded his head. "Did everything go well?" He smoothly changed the topic, since he didn't want to deal with 'that' just yet.
"As smooth as it can get, we even got some loot along the way." Dai Lu chuckled. The whole group could hear the Northern Sect clicking their tongues, but they didn't dare to approach this group.
"Want to move together?" The Grandmaster nudged Dai Lu with a smile.
"That's not up to me." Dai Lu shook her head. She was a bodyguard, so while she could give her opinion, it was Mei that would decide what to do.
"If you don't mind our size." Mei didn't reject that idea. It would also help Dai Lu progress her possible relationship and make her happier.
When someone is happy, they are not only more productive, but also loyal.
Loyalty was the key for a long and peaceful life...
...
The group kept chatting, the Eastern and Western Sect had no room to butt in or even approach them as the Southern Sect's Grandmaster was keeping them in check.
He didn't want them to approach the Foxes with ulterior motives, so he was doing his best to shield them.
Was it necessary? No, from Mei's standpoint it wouldn't matter if they were approached or not. However, it was a kind gesture, and she wouldn't try to push them away for this.

Moon Aiko observed the continental flying ships, but they were all shabby, except the Southern Sect's continental flying ship. That one, for some reason, looked in perfect condition.
"Well, you have destroyed theirs, so..." The Grandmaster laughed, shrugging his shoulders. It was truly fortunate that the others lost their ships. This meant that the influx of Disciples would be limited, and the tournaments would be easier.
Except... the Foxes, if the Foxes joined with their current size, all tournaments would be harder...
"Too bad." Moon Aiko wanted to learn a bit more about their continental flying ships, but that seemed to be impossible now.
Well, to begin with, they shouldn't have tried to attack the Fox Village, so it's not her fault for destroying their continental flying ships!
"Is it?" The Grandmaster chuckled. He believed this was a great fortune, so he wanted to repay a bit of that back.
"Don't ask me." Moon Aiko shook her head. She felt a bit awkward with the Grandmaster from the Southern Sect. Not because he was a Human Cultivator, but because his enthusiasm scared Moon Aiko.
The Grandmaster shook his head, glancing at Dai Lu.
"Get a room." Moon Aiko rolled her eyes and dragged Mei away.
"She is jealous?" The Grandmaster raised his eyebrow.
"No, she was always like this." Dai Lu shook her head.
"Ah, then how will she fit on the mainland?" The Grandmaster scratched his cheek.
"You mean about political marriages? They would be happy to exclude her, otherwise they might return as eunuchs." Dai Lu shrugged.
"That bad, huh?" The Grandmaster nodded his head slowly. He now understood why there were such strange rumours surrounding the Fox Village.
"Don't look at me like that. I wholly approve of what she is doing." Dai Lu snorted unhappily. She was also part of those 'politics' at least until her tails were cut off.
Now with Aiko around and with her aversion to being forced into things, this would shake the very foundation of their corrupt system and Dai Lu was looking forward to that.
"Do you?" The Grandmaster visibly stiffened. He really wanted to cover his *ahem*, but that would make him embarrassed.
"En." Dai Lu said teasingly. "Does your little brother want to do something?"
"He would like private lessons in cultivation." The Grandmaster said shamelessly.
"You should bring good alcohol." Dai Lu licked her lips, making him flustered.
"I will arrange it once we are in the air." The Grandmaster didn't want to be interrupted, not when she was in this kind of mood! He would do his best to deter everyone before visiting her!
-----
Moon Aiko stomped away while dragging Mei along.
"Are you jealous?" Mei chuckled.
"No." Moon Aiko denied it. She was not jealous, but the sexual tension between them was so severe that she was choking on the flying hearts. She couldn't bear that so she wanted to push them into the room and be done with it!
"Hmmm~" Mei hummed teasingly.
"What do you think about that?" Moon Aiko changed the topic, since she noticed something nice in the distance.
"Oh?" Mei was startled that there was an island so far away.
"It's still some way away from the 'black zone', but still close enough that we can go there and play." Moon Aiko had a few 'entertainments' in mind, especially when it came to clothes.
It was unlikely that she would be able to introduce things like bikinis and similar stuff immediately, but dress-like swimsuits should be possible.
Maybe not for Mei, but at least Twins and others might like it and if the other Foxes joined, that would be for the best!
The more Foxes would wear it, the more other Foxes might want it and this loop would repeat until it became skimpy swimsuits!
"Hehehehe~" Witch Aiko giggled briefly, before a cough made her into Moon Aiko again.
"..." Mei pursed her lips. That perverted giggle made her shudder. She was wondering what Aiko was up to this time, but thinking about it again, knowing it was more dangerous than being placed in front of the disaster.
Mei would have to dread the 'thing' that Aiko would do until it happened. But if she didn't know about it, she would only be shocked.
It was a perfect plan to preserve her sanity!
"Will everyone fit there, though?" Moon Aiko tilted her head. They had a lot of Foxes, having so many of them around, wouldn't that be dangerous?
"We can set up a boundary, that's why we have the Rune Saint. There is also Chen Yanqi, she can help us secure the skies." Mei gestured back towards the continental flying ship.
"It's so nice when someone is skilled in Runes." Moon Aiko happily smiled.
Mei also chuckled when she heard that. Aiko might be even better at Inscription Runes than the Rune Saint, but when it came to complexity, he still had the upper hand. Mostly because of how long he lived.
"But I'm not sure if we should prepare everything now or later..." Moon Aiko groaned. It was hard to decide since each thing had its pros and cons.
"We can do it over there once everything is secured." Mei pursed her lips. The Northern Sect was too quiet, so something might be already brewing.
However, if they left this place and played around the tiny island, it would be much harder for the Northern Sect to do anything.
"Okay." Moon Aiko would listen to Mei when it came to these things as she had more experience. More experience meant higher safety and that was what mattered the most right now.
"Will you be staying here or do you need to move somewhere else?" Mei was talking about when Aiko would be staying behind. If she needed something or moved somewhere... Mei would naturally accommodate.
"The island is perfect, so don't worry." Moon Aiko could feel the pull. Well, it was a bit scary she would have to go into the 'black zone' of the ocean, but she didn't believe her visit would endanger her life.
"Is it?" Mei was even more concerned, but she chose to believe her partner for now.
"Don't worry too much~" Moon Aiko smiled happily.
Mei sighed. Seeing Aiko so happy made her both puzzled and concerned...
...
Returning to the group. Moon Aiko was looking for the Twins and others, but they were already back on the continental flying ship.
It seems like everyone grew tired of the gazes from the Northern Sect. They were not hiding, just didn't want to bother with them.
The Northern Sects' faces were also not too appealing, so that was another reason why everyone went back...
