While it wasn’t technically true that all the Unknown Ores came from Yuan, since many were collected as a squad, there was no denying that Yuan was involved in all of them.

He silently stared at the Unknown Ores, wondering how he should tackle this situation.

However, before Yuan could say anything, another individual retrieved a second spatial cube and emptied its contents onto the floor, revealing another pile of glistening crystals.

This time, however, they were Unknown Crystals.

"These Unknown Crystals are affected by the same phenomenon, and they were also collected by you, Sergeant Yuan."

"Well? What do you have to say for yourself?"

"Let’s stop wasting time and reveal how you extracted their energy without the use of specialized equipment!" one of them shouted as he slammed the desk.

"Why are you staying silent? We can take that as an admission of guilt."

Yuan closed his eyes and took a deep breathe, looking as though he was prepared to reveal the truth.

Then, he spoke, "I’m staying silent because I didn’t want to waste my breath."

"What?"

They frowned at his words.

"You already said that you wouldn’t believe me, so why even bother?"

"So you’re telling us that this is all just a huge coincidence and that you’re not responsible for it?"

Yuan quietly nodded his head, leaving them speechless, as they really expected him to give in after showing him so much evidence.

"Listen carefully. I don’t know how you managed to do it, but this is a national-level security issue that goes far beyond this city! If the other cities discover that there’s a way to extract Limitless from Unknown Ores and Crystals without using any machinery, they’ll do everything in their power to obtain that method!"

"Then I don’t see the issue, since I can’t extract Limitless from them," Yuan calmly said.

Although his words might have sounded like a lie, he was actually telling the truth. What he extracted from the Unknown Ores and Crystals wasn’t Limitless, but Eternal Essence.

"You—!"

Just as one of the white-suited individuals opened their mouth to speak, another voice resounded from outside.

"W-Wait! You can’t go inside, General—!"

The door suddenly swung open, and two individuals walked into the room.

"General Mei? Ironwoman? What are the two of you doing here?"

"I think you know very well why I am here," Mei Feng responded with a slight frown on her face.

"Even if you’re a General, you cannot just barge into this facility as if you own it, General Mei. Also, we have full authority to arrest someone."

"This isn’t his first time being targeted, so I am just doing my due diligence," Mei Feng said. "If you have a valid reason for arresting him, I will not intervene."

She scanned the room, trying to understand the situation, but it only left her more puzzled.

"They think I can extract Limitless from Unknown Ores and Crystals," Yuan suddenly spoke, revealing the reason they arrested him.

"What?" Mei Feng frowned after hearing these words, turning to look at the group of individuals with a questioning gaze.

"Despite their flawless appearance, all of the Unknown Ores and Unknown Crystals you see in this room lack energy, and it started happening ever since his appearance. Moreover, they were all collected by him—or rather, he was involved in all of them," elaborated one of the individuals.

"When did this start happening? And how come this is my first time hearing about this?" Mei Feng then asked.

"We started noticing it shortly after Sergeant Yuan went on his first gathering mission, so about a year ago. As for why we’ve kept this a secret until now... We were simply gathering more evidence."

After a moment of silence, Mei Feng turned to look at Yuan and asked, "What do you have to say for yourself?"

"..."

Although Yuan could simply continue denying it, there was one issue. The Ironwoman had watched him collect Unknown Ores in the Black Zone and likely already knew the truth.

Eventually, Yuan let out a defeated sigh and said, "This might require me to reveal my... You know what. Should I still tell them?"

Mei Feng fell silent for another moment before nodding. "It’s not like we can keep it hidden forever. We’re bound to reveal it sooner or later anyway. Moreover, this situation is much more serious than you think."

Yuan nodded and revealed, "This is just a hypothesis, but because of my physique, my body automatically absorbs the energy within Unknown Ores and Unknown Crystals whenever I touch them. Unfortunately, it’s not something I can control."

"What sort of nonsense is that?"

The people in white swiftly remarked with doubtful expressions.

The room fell silent as everyone there turned to look at Yuan with dumbfounded faces.

"I was born with it," Yuan calmly lied.

After a long minute of silence, one of them spoke, "We will need to confirm two things. One, that you really have the Perfected Heavenly Refinement physique, and two, that you can absorb the energy of Unknown Ores that you touch."

"Fine by me." Yuan easily agreed.

Some time later, they brought a capsule-shaped machine into the room and instructed Yuan to enter it.

However, this was no ordinary machine. Only individuals with the highest Credential Ranks could operate it, and it revealed virtually everything.

"I-It’s true! He really has the Perfected Heavenly Refinement physique!"

"This is the first confirmed Perfected Heavenly Refinement physique in history!"

"Perfected Heavenly Refinement, huh?" Ironwoman mumbled in a low voice as she begun to understand the reason behind Yuan’s unfathomable talents and capabilities.

A few minutes later, they moved on to the second test and handed Yuan an Unknown Ore and Unknown Crystal that still had all of its energy.
