Chapter 2511: Eternals’ Cultivation Method
Chapter 2511: Eternals’ Cultivation Method
After a moment of silence, the First Princess spoke in a soft voice, "It’s fine, I can wait."
Madam Jun raised an eyebrow and spoke to her using voice transmission, "You know our schedule is full, and we’re already running late, right? In the first place, I agreed to come here only because you said you’d leave immediately after meeting the Divine Paragon."
"Yes, I will leave after meeting the Divine Paragon, but until then... the others can wait."
Madam Jun pinched her nose bridge and released a weary sigh.
"This is a crucial period for securing your position within the family. Even if you currently hold the advantage, it is only by a slight margin. If you continue to dawdle like this, your siblings will eventually surpass you."
After a slight pause, she continued, "Even if the Divine Paragon is a legend, we are long past his era. Once all of the excitement dies down, he will quickly become irrelevant, so if you’re trying to acquire his backing..."
"I didn’t come here to recruit him," said the First Princess, leaving Madam Jun speechless.
"You’re not? Then why are we wasting our time here?"
Instead of responding to her question, the First Princess said, "Can’t you just let me be selfish for once?"
"Will that help you defeat your siblings? If so, then you may be as selfish as you wish. Listen, Jun’er... I’m only doing this for your own good. Moreover, it’s not like this is your only chance to meet the Divine Paragon."
Eventually, the First Princess gave up and muttered in a somewhat reluctant voice, "...Fine."
Without saying anything else, the First Princess turned around and returned to the carriage.
The entire conversation had been conducted through voice transmission, so nobody present knew what they had discussed. Even if someone possessed the ability to intercept their conversation, nobody there was foolish enough to eavesdrop on the Celestial Family and risk offending them.
"They’re leaving just like that?"
The others were surprised to see the Celestial Family departing right after they arrived.
"There’s no way. Did the Celestial Emperor not send the First Princess to seduce the Divine Paragon?"
Yan Hara watched the Celestial Family disappear into the void with a slightly puzzled look on her face, wondering why they wanted to meet the Divine Paragon.
"Clan Leader Yan! Do you have some time right now? I’d love to—"
Suddenly, people began approaching Yan Hara, who finally made her presence known.
However, Yan Hara quickly waved them off and said, "Sorry, but I am busy."
After saying that, she quickly turned around and flew back into the courtyard. When some tried to follow her, they were immediately blocked by the Demon Sealers.
’Where are you now, Yuan...?’ Yan Hara sighed inwardly.
Time continued to pass, and soon, there were only two weeks left before the banquet was scheduled to begin. Yet, the Divine Paragon was still nowhere to be seen.
Meanwhile, Yuan had spent this entire time trying to discover his own affinity. Unfortunately, no matter how much effort he put into it, he made absolutely no progress.
After all, it was practically impossible to learn something when he did not even understand what that thing truly was.
"Lord Shiva said to just give it up," Mu Xuelian suddenly said out loud. "There’s no way you’ll be able to discover your affinity like that."
Yuan looked at her and asked, "What were you doing when you first discovered your own affinity?"
"I was napping... said Lord Shiva," Mu Xuelian relayed her response.
"What?" Yuan raised his eyebrows, looking utterly dumbfounded by her response.
"Or more precisely, after I awakened from my nap," Shiva corrected herself. "However, during my slumber, I had a dream where my entire existence was frozen—sealed within an indestructible block of ice."
"After breaking out of that ice and waking up, I discovered my affinity," she added.
"You can’t be serious..."
After a moment of silence, Yuan continued to ask, "What were you doing prior to taking your nap?"
"What most Eternals do when they are not napping or fighting each other. I was cultivating."
"Now that I think about it, I have never seen an Eternal cultivating. Does it differ from how I do it?" Yuan asked as he began absorbing the surrounding essence.
"Unfortunately, I cannot cultivate Eternal Essence with this body. That being said, it’s definitely different, and I can show you how it’s done."
Shiva suddenly took control of Mu Xuelian’s body and approached Yuan.
"I’ll show the method to your soul directly," she said. "However, since I’m essentially sharing a cultivation method meant for Eternals, the price will be immense."
She narrowed her eyes at him before continuing, "Quite frankly, there’s a real chance that you could die from it. Knowing this now, are you still willing to learn?"
Yuan subconsciously swallowed nervously after hearing her warning. However, before he could say anything, Shiva continued speaking.
"What you’re currently doing is essentially no different from how an unborn Eternal cultivates," she said. "It’s simple... but terribly inefficient."
Yuan then asked, "Do all Eternals cultivate using the same method?"
"Technically, yes," Shiva replied. "Although every Eternal eventually develops their own unique cultivation method, they all originate from a single source and are merely altered versions."
"And where did this cultivation method originally come from?" Yuan asked with a curious expression.
"That... does it really matter?" Shiva responded after a brief pause.
"Huh?" Yuan immediately narrowed his eyes at her with suspicion. "Of course it matters. How am I supposed to know this isn’t some dangerous technique?"
He then continued in a wary voice, "I know better than to cultivate a method with an unknown origin—especially one coming from an Eternal."
"Do you think I’m trying to control your mind with this technique or something?" Shiva rebuked, clearly offended by his suspicion. "If you don’t want to learn it, then don’t. I doubt you’ll even survive long enough to cultivate it anyway!"
"..."
After a long moment of contemplation, Yuan finally responded, "I want to learn it."
