“Because you killed Morveth’s little pet within my territory, she launched an attack on this world,” the Demon God revealed, his tone calm yet heavy. “Had I not intervened… this entire realm would have been erased just now.”

“Seriously…?” Yuan muttered, momentarily dazed. He had never expected Prime Eternal Morveth to retaliate so swiftly, nor had he realized how close he had come to death just moments ago.

“So you protected me? Thanks.”

“What? Don’t get it twisted,” the Demon God sneered, his tone sharp with displeasure. “I didn’t do it for you. I simply protected my world.”

“Either way, I’m still alive because of your actions,” he chuckled lightly. “So, in a sense… You did protect me.”

“And to think we once fought each other with our lives on the line,” Yuan suddenly remarked.
