Chapter 1560 Bai Ning
Chapter 1560 Bai Ning
1560 Bai Ning
Once Xuan Kun arrived at the reception area, he could see a beautiful young woman standing with Xuan Wei, who had a respectful smile on his face, a stark contrast to the way he greeted Yuan and Xi Meili.
“Welcome to the Pavilion of Knowledge, Lady Bai Ning. How can we assist you today?” Xuan Kun respectfully bowed to her.
Bai Ning looked at him nonchalantly and said, “I heard that this is the place to go for information. Is that correct?”
“That depends on the type of information you’re looking for, but generally, yes. We have information on pretty much everything, including information that is normally only available in the upper heavens.” Xuan Kun spoke with confidence.
The Pavilion of Knowledge gathered information from not only the Fourth Heaven but also all the other Heavens. They achieved this by contacting other information-gathering agencies in the upper heavens and sharing information with each other.
“Good. I am looking for someone,” Bai Ning then said.
She continued as Xuan Kun raised an eyebrow, “This individual has long golden hair and golden eyes, a unique scent that does not belong to any beast clan that I know of, but his aura did resemble that of the dragon clan slightly. He wields a golden Soul Weapon shaped like a spear that can easily penetrate spiritual energy. He might have a habit of wearing masks.”
“Oh, he’s also immensely talented, being able to fight even Spirit Enlightenment despite being a mere Spirit King.”
Xuan Kun wore a look of disbelief on his face after hearing the description of someone who sounded like pure fiction to him.
“A Spirit King that can fight Spirit Enlightenment? That doesn’t sound feasible at all…” Xuan Wei subconsciously uttered this after hearing such a ridiculous claim.
Bai Ning narrowed her eyes at him and sneered, “Are you calling me a liar?”
“N-not at all! But how can you be sure this information is correct?”
“Because I encountered and fought him myself in the Third Heaven. Not only did he match my strength, but he also humiliated my little brother, who had to unseal his cultivation to Spirit Enlightenment. Even then, it wasn’t enough.”
“A Spirit King from the Third Heaven was able to match you? That sounds ludicrous, but since it’s coming from you…” Xuan Kun swallowed nervously.
He began pondering seriously, but nobody that fit the description came to mind.
‘There’s no way a genius like that would go unnoticed. In that case, he must be a newcomer…’
“Do you have any more information on this individual?” Xuan Kun asked.
Bai Ning recalled every little detail Bai Xutao told her to Xuan Kun, who listened with great interest. 𝖋𝔯𝖜𝖇𝖓𝔬𝔳𝔩.𝖈𝖔𝖒
“I see… Truly a fascinating individual… As for that spear you mentioned…”
Once Xuan Kun was given more details on the Soul Weapon wielded by this individual, he immediately thought about the Dragon’s Soul, something the Xi Family had in their possession even before they entered the Ancient Dragon City.
‘A Soul Weapon that sounds like the Dragon’s Soul, and with the Young Lady’s recent emergence… is this just a coincidence, or…?’ Xuan Kun wondered inwardly, not daring to rush any conclusions.
“Oh, one more thing. This masked individual had some weird technique. Right when I was about to strike him, he shouted ‘halt’ at me in a commanding tone, and as though I was his servant, my body obeyed even though my mind rejected it.” Bai Ning suddenly said.
“What?” Xuan Kun frowned upon hearing this, and he asked, “Can you repeat that one more time? And how you felt in more detail?”
Bai Ning closed her eyes and recalled the moment her body stopped working.
“With a single word, that individual was able to take complete control of my body, forcing it to listen to his commands regardless of my own will. If he told me to kill myself at that moment, I would’ve probably done so. I have never felt so powerless in my life…” Bai Ning wore a nervous expression on her face as she recalled the sensation of being powerless, something she had never experienced since birth.
Xuan Kun swallowed nervously and took a deep breath before speaking, “I don’t want to startle you or anything, Lady Bai, but what you described sounds exactly like an authority—
something only the purest of royal bloodlines can wield.”
“What?” Bai Ning frowned upon hearing this and said, “You mean to tell me this individual has the authority to command the Heavenly White Tiger’s bloodline when we are already the purest of our bloodline? That’s nonsense!”
The Heavenly White Tiger Clan already stood at the peak of their bloodline, so it was impossible for another bloodline to have the authority to command them.
“In that case, I can only think of one possibility, even though it may sound even more ridiculous than the last…” Xuan Kun’s body trembled at this thought.
“What is it?” Bai Ning urged.
After taking a deep breath, Xuan Kun muttered in a shivering voice, “Immortal Monarch’s Dominion… That’s the only authority that could possibly surpass the Heavenly White Tiger’s authority.”
“Are you insane?!” Bai Ning suddenly roared, her voice filled with anger.
“You dare suggest that the Immortal Monarch is still alive and that the person I fought was him?!”
Just the thought of raising a finger against the Immortal Monarch left Bai Ning in utter disgust and anger, as she would rather die than do such a thing.
“Even if the Immortal Monarch were alive, he wouldn’t be a Spirit King! Moreover, why would the Immortal Monarch be bullying my little brother?!”
After Bai Xutao’s fight with Yuan, Bai Ning brought Bai Xutao, who was half dead after the heavenly tribulation, back to her family, where he had to explain everything. However, Bai Xutao gave a fake story, so Bai Ning was still unaware of the whole situation and thought Yuan was just targeting the Heavenly White Tiger Clan for whatever reason.
“I know how ridiculous it sounds, but it’s the only explanation. Furthermore…” Xuan Kun hesitated for a moment before continuing, “The Immortal Monarch… he’s alive…”
“What… did you just say?” Bai Ning and Xuan Wei stared at him with wide eyes, their faces filled with shock.
