Cultivation: I Have a Golden Talisman
Chapter 610 - 29: Stone Sect, Dragon Palace, Giant Whale
He gazed at the Demon Bird’s head, his reflection mirrored in its long, narrow eyes. They held no resentment, but rather a hint of relief.
RUMBLE!
As the Demon Bird fell, the massive chains within the Bronze Palace that had bound it began to emit a dense Bronze Cloud Qi. They slowly detached from the Demon Bird’s body and retracted one by one into the walls on either side of the palace.
The entire interior of the Bronze Palace was instantly plunged into darkness.
Fang Cheng collected the Demon Bird’s carcass, intending to use it to feed the Primordial Celestial Demon Strategy and light the Thunder Pools after forging a new Spiritual Mechanism Incarnation.
Even a starved camel is bigger than a horse. This bird was easily worth more than a dozen Tier Five Late Stage Celestial Demons—more than enough for him to light the Nine Thunder Pools with plenty to spare.
Fang Cheng glanced around. Both the Bronze Palace and the True Dragon Chains were Tier Six Treasures, but when he made an attempt to claim them, he was horrified to discover a tyrannical will hidden within the palace. It instantly shattered his Divine Sense Magical Power, making it utterly impossible for him to refine it in the slightest.
’What a pity,’ he thought to himself. He soared into the air, and after regrouping with Feng Yan and her companion, they left the palace.
The three of them brought out the Peach Blossom Cloud Raft again. The moment they flew out of the Bronze Palace, a colossal beast the size of a mountain came flying toward them.
It was a dragon-whale, its body clad in Dragon Scales, its back a cluster of sword-like ridges, and a single horn growing from its head.
From head to tail, it measured well over five hundred feet long and carried a magnificent palace on its back. Its two fins were like broad oars, trailing mist and clouds, its passage accompanied by the faint rumble of wind and thunder as it swam through the void as if plumbing the depths of the sea.
A torrential rain now poured from the sky. All across the desert, strange, ethereal blue flowers bloomed, attracting, as expected, numerous Tribulation Realm Cultivators who were exploring the Lingkong Celestial Ruins.
This dragon-whale was none other than a Tier Five Mid Stage Demon Beast, which had been subdued and now served as a mount.
Fang Cheng and Feng Yan looked toward the palace on the dragon-whale’s back. There, in the magnificent main hall, sat a handsome man. He rested his chin on one hand, an air of languor about him, his silver-threaded robes pooling on the floor.
Within the hall, white gauze curtains drifted gently, and smoke curled up from a sandalwood burner. Several white cranes spread their wings in playful dance, then suddenly transformed into a number of young, demure maidens clad in sheer gauze. They ran to a jade-lined pool in the center of the hall, their light, tinkling laughter filling the air.
The man, in turn, was sizing up the pair with curiosity.
When his gaze fell upon Feng Yan’s breathtakingly beautiful face, his eyes lit up. He sat bolt upright, his eyes raking over her as if she were a priceless treasure, making no attempt to conceal the intense possessiveness in his heart.
"I am Beiming Gang. And might I ask for this fellow Daoist’s name?"
The handsome man rose, his silver-threaded robes trailing as he walked barefoot to the palace entrance. He offered Feng Yan a cupped-fist salute and spoke with dashing flair.
As for Fang Cheng, he was completely ignored.
Both Fang Cheng and Feng Yan had habitually concealed their auras, so in this man’s eyes, they appeared to be mere beginners who had just entered the Tribulation Realm.
This was especially true for Fang Cheng. Covered in Profound Gold Dao Patterns and standing ten feet tall, he looked like one of Feng Yan’s Divine Technique puppets when next to her.
Feng Yan, on the other hand, was dressed in a long black gown that billowed in the wind. Bathed in the ethereal blue light filling the world, she was a vision of incomparable beauty.
’He doesn’t recognize Feng Yan... It seems he never received the report about the Taixu Token.’
Fang Cheng watched impassively. This Beiming Gang before them was only at a Four-Tribulation Cultivation. Within the grand hall, however, an Eight Tribulation Expert lay hidden, likely the man’s Guardian.
At that moment, Feng Yan, already disgusted by Beiming Gang’s brazen, predatory gaze, felt a surge of killing intent the moment she heard he was from the Beiming Immortal Race.
"Young Master, be careful!"
From within the palace, an aged voice suddenly rang out.
Beiming Gang’s expression shifted. Behind the stunning beauty before him, a terrifying aura suddenly erupted, and the spectral image of a ferocious beast materialized.
It had the body of an ox and the tail of a dragon, with nine vicious, savage snake heads that let out a silent roar.
The next moment, a vast, ocean-like torrent of watery light crashed down!
