Cultivation: I Can Traverse Otherworlds
Chapter 548: Evil Dragon
After dealing with the trivial matters of the mansion, Zhu Ju had just picked up his teacup to sample the new tea when he suddenly paused.
He then put down the cup and walked out of the room.
A short while later, he arrived near the courtyard where “Tong Li” was staying.
“Halt!”
In a blur of motion, Mok Ying, cradling a longsword and wearing a bamboo hat, blocked his path.
“You are not permitted here.”
“Oh?”
Zhu Ju gave a wry smile.
“This is the Zhu Mansion, and I am its master. Is there any place here that I cannot enter?”
With that,
he began to walk forward again.
SWISH!
A cold light flashed as a blade, sharp enough to slice through jade, barred his way, pulsing with a fierce killing intent.
Mok Ying showed no regard for the so-called “master of the Zhu Mansion” before him, barking coldly,
“Leave now if you don’t want to die.”
“It seems your master didn’t teach you any manners.” Zhu Ju shook his head lightly and flicked a finger.
“Move!”
DING…
His fingertip struck the blade, producing a crisp, pleasant sound.
Mok Ying’s expression suddenly darkened as an invisible, immense force compelled him to retreat.
His wrist trembled violently, and he nearly lost his grip on the longsword.
“My master’s orders are to kill any who trespass!”
he growled, his wrist jerking sharply.
VMMMM…
The longsword blurred into a disk, a thousand blade-images reflecting in the eye as sharp Sword Qi flooded the area.
Sixth-Grade Peak!
As the Sword Momentum unfolded, a bone-chillingly cold Sword Intent emerged.
Under the shroud of this Sword Intent, the flowers and plants in the courtyard withered and died.
Even Zhu Ju felt a chill creep over his body.
But it was strange.
Although his opponent had grasped a refined skill like Sword Intent, his Sword Technique was exceedingly crude.
“Hmph!”
Zhu Ju snorted, and a torrent of Extreme Yang Qi erupted from his body, instantly suppressing the encroaching aura.
He murmured,
“Yin Corpse Evil Qi… so you’re not human.”
As he spoke,
the blade was upon him.
Zhu Ju raised his hands. At some point, his ten fingers had been covered in Hand Armor, which now clashed repeatedly with the blade.
Although his foundation was deep and his Physical Body was formidable, his Cultivation was ultimately insufficient to block the Sword Technique of a Sixth-Grade Peak Martial Artist with his bare flesh.
But with the protection of the Bright Armor, it was of no consequence.
“Kill!”
Not only was Mok Ying not human, but he also seemed to lack human emotions. He showed no surprise at Zhu Ju’s extraordinary strength, simply twisting his Sword Technique to attack again.
“Good!”
Zhu Ju let out a low shout. Incandescent arcs of electricity flickered in his eyes as a crackling sound filled the air.
“Let me test what I’ve learned from the Kui Ox bloodline on you.”
Thunder Control!
His Qi Blood surged.
A wave of Extreme Yang Thunder Power emerged from the depths of his bloodline, manifesting from the ethereal into reality.
Stimulated by the Thunder Power, his explosive strength instantly doubled.
BOOM!
Zhu Ju strode forward and threw a punch.
Behind him, his roiling Qi Blood coalesced into a massive phantom, wreathed in thunder.
Giant Spirit, Thunder.
The two True Intents merged into one, forming an indestructible fist that collided with the incoming blade.
The might of this punch was no less than the full-force strike of a Sixth-Grade Peak Martial Artist.
CLANG—
CLINK CLANK CLANG…
The initial collision was brief, followed by a storm of rapid clashes, sending sparks and electric arcs scattering in all directions.
“Sixth-Grade Peak!”
“Impressive, indeed. A shame your Yin Corpse Evil Qi is countered by me, weakening you by at least thirty percent. What’s more, your intelligence is lacking. You rely solely on instinct to use your Sword Technique, so your actual combat strength is far below your Cultivation level.”
Zhu Ju murmured this, but his actions didn’t slow in the slightest as he pressed forward like a rolling millstone.
Given the slightest opportunity for victory, his experience and methods would allow him to seize control of the entire situation.
PENG!
CRACK!
BOOM…
As Mok Ying’s sword shattered, the Fist Force sent him flying.
He tried to rise after landing, but Zhu Ju had already stepped forward and placed a hand on his forehead.
BOOM!
A surge of Thunder True Intent blasted into his Sea of Consciousness, causing his body to shudder violently before he collapsed to the ground.
At the same time,
the door to the house before them slowly swung open.
Ming Nianwei looked at Zhu Ju with a complex expression, then curtsied gracefully, pushing aside her stray thoughts.
“Greetings, Master.”

“Prince Yong’an?”
Zhu Ju sat upon a large, tiger-skin chair, tapping his fingers on the armrest, lost in thought.
“The one who colluded with the Evil Dragon?”
Many years ago, an anomaly appeared among the East Sea Dragon Race.
This creature was not only bizarre in appearance but also savage by nature, with a taste for flesh and blood. Upon reaching adulthood, it killed its father and brothers, devouring over ten Dragon Descendants of its own family to achieve a Super Grade body.
Even the East Sea Dragon Race could not tolerate such an aberration and issued a warrant for its capture.
The dragon fled the East Sea and lived incognito in human society for many years. For some unknown reason, it later appeared in Prince Yong’an’s estate and even became his brother, born of the same mother. It also commanded an extremely powerful force.
The incident caused a great stir.
However, few people knew the specific details.
“Yes.”
Ming Nianwei nodded.
“Prince Yong’an colluded with the Evil Dragon and consorted with the Mang Mountain Demons, nearly causing the Divine Dynasty’s defensive lines to collapse. This incurred the wrath of His Majesty, who dispatched an army of hundreds of thousands to encircle and annihilate them. The prince was killed while attempting to flee to the East Sea.”
“Li Chengxia was caught in the fallout and had to abandon her Physical Body, using a Primordial Spirit Secret Technique to escape.”
“The Evil Dragon, however, did not die. To this day, it continues to stir up trouble along the shores of the East Sea.”
“So that’s how it is.” Zhu Ju understood.
“No wonder I felt that ‘Tong Li’s’ Divine Soul fluctuations were strange. It was a Fourth-Grade Magic Cultivator attempting possession.”
Ming Nianwei gave a dry laugh.
‘Possession?’
‘It’s true that Tong Li was being possessed, but this “Zhu Ju” in front of me is probably not the original either.’
‘The real Zhu Ju was only in his early twenties, with mediocre Martial Arts Talent—nothing more than a rich young master.’
But,
‘the technique this man left on me was able to stop a Fourth-Grade Peak Mage’s possession.’
‘It even obliterated Li Chengxia’s Primordial Spirit.’
‘Such methods…’
‘He’s even more terrifying than Li Chengxia!’
‘Li Chengxia was at the Fourth-Grade Peak. For Zhu Ju to be able to kill her, could he be a Third-Grade Mage?’
‘But Fourth-Grade Peak is already the apex for a Magic Cultivator!’
“So…”
Zhu Ju began, speaking slowly,
“have you now obtained all of Li Chengxia’s memories?”
“Yes.” Ming Nianwei came back to her senses and added,
“However, my Divine Soul Power is weak, so I haven’t been able to fully absorb her several hundred years of memories. I only have some vague fragments.”
“Rest assured, Master!”
“As my Cultivation increases, I’ll be able to receive the memories. I know of a Treasure Storage where Li Chengxia kept many good things.”
“In ten years… no, in just five or six years, I am confident I can become a Sixth-Grade Mage.”
“Five or six years?” Zhu Ju stroked his chin, a hint of regret in his voice.
“In other words, you’re of no use to me right now.”
“Well…” Ming Nianwei’s face fell for a moment, but she quickly added,
“Li Chengxia had a storage pouch. It’s in the room.”
