Chapter 1027 - 444: He’s Been Tainted! (Part 2)
Chapter 1027 - 444: He’s Been Tainted! (Part 2)
Ning Qi couldn’t help shifting his gaze to the Sea of Realms turbulence in front of the Mountain Ancestor.
The twisted monsters that had crossed the sea were already growing sparse.
In just a brief moment, the Mountain Ancestor had killed at least a thousand twisted monsters.
Each time a monster died, black liquid would scatter, and all of it was thrown by the Mountain Ancestor into the Immortal Radiance Dao Flame to be burned, as if he had sworn to incinerate it completely.
Later on, as the twisted monsters fused into stronger and larger abominations, the Immortal Radiance released by the Mountain Ancestor actually began to lose effect on them.
Ning Qi saw a twisted monster as huge as a mountain charge toward the Mountain Ancestor.
The Mountain Ancestor still used Immortal Radiance imbued with myriad Tao Principles and thrust it at the opponent.
But whether it was that the fused twisted monsters had become stronger, or that they had adapted better to the Immortal Radiance—he could not tell.
Silvery-white Immortal Radiance hacked down onto its body, and the massive twisted monster let out a heaven-shaking screech, the blood light in the countless eyes on its body almost overflowing.
Vaguely, a streak of black‑red energy radiated from the massive twisted monster’s body, resisting the Immortal Radiance.
Whether it was the Mountain Ancestor or Ning Qi, when they looked at it again, they realized that at most its outer skin had merely been scraped open a layer.
Other than making the twisted monster look even more terrifying, he could actually no longer slay it!
The Mountain Ancestor froze for a moment at the sight.
"As expected of an existence the Immortal Alliance has sworn to eradicate!"
The Mountain Ancestor stepped back, the Immortal Radiance around him seeming to grow even brighter.
"Evil Extermination Immortal Sword!"
The Mountain Ancestor let out a clear cry from his mouth.
The mountain-shaped seal at his brow flashed with luster, and a crystalline Magical Sword flew out from his brow, incomparably heavy.
The Immortal Sword hovered in front of the Mountain Ancestor, as if endless Lei patterns were carved upon it.
"Go!"
The Mountain Ancestor formed a Sword Technique with his hand, controlling the Immortal Sword, and pointed at the twisted monster.
In an instant, the Evil Extermination Immortal Sword erupted with thunderous booming, cleaving toward the gigantic twisted monster ahead.
Crack!
Roar!
The former was the sound of the sword cleaving, the latter the twisted monster’s howl.
The twisted monster’s blood‑eyes condensed into a scarlet pillar of light that shot toward the incoming Evil Extermination Immortal Sword; at the same time, the many severed limbs on its body swung in unison, also striking at the Immortal Sword.
The next second, dazzling silver thunder‑light clashed with blood light in a flash.
The blood light shattered, and many of the twisted monster’s severed limbs were cut off as well.
More terrifying still, a crack slanted across the massive body of the twisted monster, and then, like a knife cutting butter, split it completely in two!
The massive twisted monster actually failed to block this one sword of the Mountain Ancestor’s.
The Mountain Ancestor’s lips curled slightly, but in the next instant his expression changed, and he hurriedly stepped back.
Only to see the twisted monster ahead swell like a hideous water‑filled balloon, the countless black waters within shooting toward the Mountain Ancestor.
The mountain-shaped mark at the Mountain Ancestor’s brow once again released a beam of light, forming a mountain-shaped barrier that shielded him within.
Pa!
The black water came surging, but ultimately failed to splash onto the Mountain Ancestor’s pure and flawless Immortal Body, blocked one by one by the mountain-shaped barrier.
Yet an intense nausea rushed at him, and the Mountain Ancestor couldn’t help but gag once more.
"Damn it!"
The Mountain Ancestor swept his hand in an instant, gathering the black water with immortal power and throwing it into the previously condensed Dao Flame.
The Immortal Fire burned the void, continuing to scorch those black liquids.
The previous batch had yet to be fully burned away, and now a new amount was added, making it unending.
Ning Qi perceived the Mountain Ancestor’s Immortal Fire; its energy was fierce to the extreme, and even Ning Qi himself felt he was inferior to it.
However, the remaining black water from that twisted monster could still contend against it. Though ultimately no match, it could still consume quite a bit of the Mountain Ancestor’s strength.
The Mountain Ancestor had no time at all to catch his breath.
Because within the Sea of Realms turbulence, an even larger twisted monster was pouncing toward him.
Of course, this was also the last one.
Of the twisted monster army that Ning Qi had lured over, only this one remained.
"These things are truly a damned nuisance; alive, they’re hell‑bent on killing me; once dead, they turn into black water to defile my immortal body. Are they trying to turn me into a twisted monster as well?"
The Mountain Ancestor said, covering his mouth with his hand.
He continued to control the Evil Extermination Immortal Sword with his Divine Thought, hacking toward the other twisted monster.
At the same time, the Mountain Ancestor continued speaking:
"Ning Qi, I know these things were lured here by you, and you are definitely going to regret that decision!"
The Mountain Ancestor seemed convinced that the twisted monsters had indeed been drawn here by Ning Qi, and further guessed that Ning Qi was hiding nearby.
"You think this Immortal Venerable would fear them? Heh. Even if this Immortal Venerable loathes these things, I can leave anytime I wish. But you and your world—as long as you can’t escape this Sea of Realms, sooner or later they’ll find you. They will completely devour your world and turn all living beings within it into a part of themselves!"
The Mountain Ancestor spoke out twice in succession, as if hoping Ning Qi would respond, or at least trigger some fluctuation of energy somewhere that would let him locate Ning Qi’s position.
He was already sick of fighting twisted monsters; only by dealing with Ning Qi, this root cause, could he be done!
But as the Mountain Ancestor carefully probed the surrounding Sea of Realms with his Perception, he found no abnormality whatsoever.
The Mountain Ancestor frowned, slightly disappointed.
Clearly he had been able to grab Ning Qi’s clone before, so why had this brat’s aura completely vanished now?
He had to admit, with his words stabbing at Ning Qi like that, yet Ning Qi could still endure and stay hidden—on that point, the Mountain Ancestor had to respect Ning Qi’s way of playing dead.
He also regretted endlessly why he hadn’t simply killed Ning Qi right from the start; then there wouldn’t be all this trouble!
Again and again, the Mountain Ancestor regretted his previous choices. He had thought that once he became an Immortal, he could easily resolve everything, but clearly he was wrong again.
That bastard Ning Qi had actually drawn over twisted monsters that even Immortals utterly despised.
Of course, these things were in fact brought in by the Saint Ancestor, but Ning Qi had led the way, so it didn’t really count as Ning Qi actively seeking them out.
Ning Qi remained silent, continuing to lurk within the Sea of Realms.
If it weren’t for the twisted monsters, Ning Qi could not be sure he wouldn’t be discovered by the Mountain Ancestor.
Still, the Mountain Ancestor’s words did stir his heart slightly.
He knew far too little about the twisted monsters; if things were really as the Mountain Ancestor said, then he too would have to face the twisted monsters’ revenge in the future.
The Mountain Ancestor said that he had to escape this Sea of Realms together with the True Martial Spirit Realm. But how vast was this Sea of Realms?
To this day, Ning Qi still didn’t know what the entirety of the Sea of Realms was like. He didn’t even know how large the region of the Sea of Realms they were currently in actually was.
Those scattered thoughts flashed through his mind, and Ning Qi cut them off once more.
He wouldn’t fall for the ploy; the priority was still to deal with the Mountain Ancestor first!
Ning Qi continued watching the Mountain Ancestor.
By this point, that released Evil Qi had already devoured quite a lot of the Mountain Ancestor’s strength.
It was like a leech—leeches suck blood from animals without the animals feeling anything, and the Evil Qi sucked power from a Cultivator in a way that even this Immortal Mountain Ancestor could not sense.
True to its name, Infinite Evil Qi could be amplified toward the infinite, but Ning Qi could no longer wait.
Because he vaguely perceived that if he let the Evil Qi keep devouring, he might not be able to suppress it anymore.
So...
"Do it! If you don’t act now, I’ll take you back and never let you out again—eternally sealed in the Sealing Evil Bottle!"
Ning Qi’s will was transmitted into the Evil Qi he had unleashed.
The Evil Qi seemed to send back a trace of intense dissatisfaction, but in the end it had no choice but to act according to Ning Qi’s command.
Ning Qi immediately sensed the Evil Qi beginning to move.
It stopped absorbing the power of the Mountain Ancestor’s Immortal Radiance and instead quietly drifted toward the Immortal Fire that the Mountain Ancestor was using to burn the black water.
The next second, the Evil Qi actually merged into the Mountain Ancestor’s Immortal Fire.
The Immortal Fire was actually reverse‑controlled by it, wrapping around the black water and still sizzling as it burned, billowing out black smoke.
Ning Qi couldn’t help but hold his breath.
He faintly guessed what the Evil Qi was about to do.
Sure enough, suddenly the Evil Qi forced the Immortal Fire to disperse, controlling the scorched black water within and spraying it toward the Mountain Ancestor, who was fighting the last twisted monster!
Whoosh, whoosh!
The black water boiled, bubbling violently, and in an instant splashed down onto the Mountain Ancestor’s flawless Full Moon Immortal Body.
In that instant, the Sea of Realms seemed to dim.
The full‑moon immortal glow shrank as if dust had sullied it, shrouded by dark clouds.
The Sea of Realms’ energy also surged, eroding in toward the vicinity.
The Mountain Ancestor was horrified!
He had never imagined why his own Immortal Fire would slip out of his control and pour all that scorching black water left by the twisted monster straight onto his Immortal Body.
A scream that pierced through the Sea of Realms exploded out, a terrifying shockwave blasting forth and driving the encroaching Sea of Realms energy even farther away.
The Mountain Ancestor only felt he had suffered the greatest humiliation of his life—he was defiled now!
