Cultivating in the Wizard World

Chapter 777 - 647: Monster and Escape

  • Next Chapter

Jeming has already determined that the person behind the scenes knows the Association well.

The opponent should also be very aware that if it drags on too long, when the Association's support arrives, matters will be settled.

So, the opponent's back-up should almost be making an appearance.

As if hearing Jeming's thoughts, the previously calm sea surface suddenly exploded.

A gigantic force erupted from underwater, carrying tons of seawater violently into the air.

A gray-white wall of water shot up into the fog, splashed drops refracting brief arcs of light in the glow of floodlights, then crashed heavily onto the embankment, creating a dull roar.

A huge silhouette surged out from the water curtain.

Its trajectory was a parabolic arc, from the sea surface to the wall of the abandoned factory, almost not touching the ground.

The five or six-meter-high body cut a heavy arc through the night sky, then smashed into the southern wall of the factory ruins like a cannonball.

Boom!!!

Bricks shattered, steel twisted, and the already pockmarked wall collapsed under the tremendous impact.

Dust and water mist mixed together, spreading in all directions.

The silhouette went straight through the collapsed wall, charging into the inside of the factory, suddenly barging into Harding, Deke, and the Shadow Thief's battleground.

The entire abandoned industrial area fell silent in an instant.

Everyone's attention was drawn to that thing.

Whether they were from the Spirit Communicator Association or the Black-robed People, they instinctively looked in that direction.

Then they saw the appearance of that thing, and their pupils simultaneously contract.

It was a monster.

A five or six-meter-tall body, roughly resembling a gigantic shark with a human body.

But upon closer inspection, one would discover it was a forced fusion of human and shark, randomly twisted together.

Its torso was human-shaped, with shoulders, a chest, and strong limbs, but the proportions were entirely wrong.

Shoulders absurdly wide, chest thick like a wall, arms over twice the length of a normal human, hanging down almost touching the ground.

In the center of its head was a gigantic shark head, gray-white skin, crescent-shaped mouth lined with backwards-hooking teeth.

Eyes pure black, no whites, like two marbles pressed into the sockets.

And on the right side of the shark head, close to the gill area, there was also a face.

A human face, twisted, like a melted wax figure.

Features blurred, but you could feel that face staring at the world with a mad gaze.

Its skin was gray-blue, surface covered with dense scales, from which sluggishly a viscous liquid with a faint fluorescent glow seeped.

It had fins on its back, but unlike a normal shark with one, there were a dozen or so varying in size, haphazardly arranged, as if randomly inserted by someone.

No exaggeration, just seeing this thing was enough to make someone feel uncomfortable.

"What the hell is this..." Deke's voice came from inside the factory, carrying an unmistakable shock.

He had seen many strange things, but never anything like this.

Although Spiritualists claimed to merge with the strange, most relied on Sealing Arrays, keeping their fusion not deeply intertwined.

Because deep fusion often led to assimilation by the strange, resulting in Death!

The Spirit Communicator Association had too many such cases, anyone who overused the strange's power, leading to deep fusion, would eventually turn into a mindless monster, attacking anything around them.

But this thing was different.

After charging into the factory, it didn't recklessly attack like those out-of-control fusioaries.

Its shark head turned slightly, pure black eyes quickly assessing the basic state of the battlefield.

Though its aura was frenetic, its actions retained a degree of rationality and intelligence!

After observing the situation, the monster directly charged toward the Sealing Array node in the southeast corner of the factory.

Its speed was fast, looking like a shark on land yet absurdly quick.

Immense force stomped the ground, delivering terrifying propulsion, the sound of feet crushing broken bricks echoed in the factory.

"Stop it!"

Harding's voice rang out, the Storm also pursued the enemy.

But it was too late.

The monster directly smashed through the blocking capture team members with terrifying force, its thick arm, like a telephone pole, covered in gray-blue scales, swung out, smashing the Rune Stone Plate in the southeast corner.

The plate shattered, Rune's light flickered a few times before extinguishing.

The halo of the Sealing Array opened a gap, and the Shadow Thief compressed at the center immediately sensed the change, its Shadow Film starting to wriggle toward the gap.

Harding had to concentrate his power to push it back.

Deke couldn't think further, raising his hand to shoot a black thread at the monster.

The power of the Shadow Snake surged from his palm, the thread splitting into several strands in the air, each wrapping around the monster's limbs and torso.

The monster's shark head turned toward Deke, pure black eyes fixed on him for a moment.

Then its left arm lifted, hand spreading, a layer of dark red light in its palm.

The light coalesced into a ball, then exploded, transforming into a dark red shock wave, directly shattering Deke's Shadow Snake threads into fragments.
