Chapter 2228: Trouble Outside the Mystic Realm

Taking a good few seconds to get used to the terrifying pressure coming from the person in front of him, the monk soon enough began explaining what he knew about the mystic realm along with what others were secretly informing him about through their divine sense while he was explaining the situation to Xuan Hao.

Because of this, Xuan Hao soon enough managed to get a grasp over the overall state of the mystic realm. Learning from the monk that the mystic realm itself was some kind of massive trial ground that had been created by an ancient temple of monks in the past for training their young in all kinds of unique situations and environments. The few unique environments he had passed through making a bit more sense now that he knew they were special unique environments that had been set up for training.

The spiritual herb field he had run into should either have been a place where spiritual herbs with healing qualities had been gathered or another unique training ground for nurturing young spiritual herb farmers for the temple that had once been in control of the mystic realm.

Still, learning that the mystic realm had once been under a temple of monks- not an ancient sect like he had originally anticipated, was a bit surprising given how it indicated that sects weren’t the only force from the past that had decreased in strength compared to the past. The monks from the Western Central Region were in a similar situation.

Only difference being that they weren’t being outright targeted by those religious sects once they grew to a certain size, though... That might not have to do with those powers not wanting to prosecute them in a similar manner, but instead the fact that those temples managed to cling onto some of their former power that made engaging them head on something they were unwilling to do.

Outside the fact that the mystic realm had once been under an ancient temple not much different from the ancient sects in terms of strength, there wasn’t much more information that the monk standing before him could give that would be a value. Mainly just starting to go through the different unique environments that had been uncovered within the mystic realm so far.

Not exactly something Xuan Hao was that interested in given how it wasn’t that useful to him. Most of the cultivation resources that could be found throughout the mystic realm were limited in usefulness to someone like himself, thus, he soon enough indicated that he was satisfied with what he had learnt before turning around to leave the mystic realm alongside the winged lion demon beast hidden within his sleeve. Not planning to linger around longer than necessary after learning of the limited usefulness of anything else, he might end up finding within the mystic realm.

Sure, the formation keeping the mystic realm running was useful to him, but he couldn’t exactly take it away with him to study it back at the sect.

And with Xuan Hao leaving the mystic realm, the cultivators who had been scared he was going to rob them of the treasures they had managed to gather while having been stuck inside the mystic realm, followed closely behind. Leaving the mystic realm together in one large group. Knowing that the time was limited if they wanted to burrow the intimidation brought by a Star Creation Realm cultivator like Xuan Hao.

Although the monk belonging to a major temple from the Western Central Region didn’t have anything to fear from those who would try to ambush them once they stepped out of the mystic realm. Most of the people gathered weren’t from any major power and were instead wandering cultivators who had entered the mystic realm in a manner not much different from those waiting to enter the mystic realm outside right at this moment.

Like them, if those wandering cultivators entered, there was a good chance they would also end up stuck inside the mystic realm waiting for the passage to open again.

Thus, without any hesitation, the group jumped forward through the passage leading out of the mystic realm. Not wanting to get left too far behind by Xuan Hao.

"Huh? This is..." But when the first person of the group made it through to the other side, he couldn’t help slowly muttering this to himself as he took in his surroundings with a look of disbelief.

Not because he was met with a scene of destruction left behind by some large-scale battle, but instead because there was at least two figures exuding pressure comparable to the senior he and those arriving behind him had been following behind, both standing midair confronting the senior he and those behind him had been following behind.

As for the large number of wandering cultivators and other people gathered around the entry leading into the mystic realm? Those weren’t that shocking, as he and those behind him had been in a similar situation when they had encountered the mystic realm in the past.

That aside, the two powerful beings confronting the third powerful being he and the rest had followed behind were clearly about to start fighting no matter how one looked at it... And with what he knew about cultivators at the Star Creation Realm clashing with one another, he knew that someone like himself whose strength had only barely reached the Land Creation Realm in terms of strength would get squished the second those powerful beings began clashing.

Let alone escaping, there wouldn’t even be a chance for him to retreat before the shockwaves would tear apparat his body and soul alike-

And with him making the first move to retreat the same way he had arrived, the remaining people that had just emerged from the mystic realm quickly followed behind and escaped back through the passage that would randomly send them to somewhere within the mystic realm.

"This... Looks like the mystic realm is safer than we anticipated..."

"That’s not what’s important! Those fellows are clearly using this opportunity to avoid getting dragged into a potential conflict between Star Creation Realm cultivators!"

"Why worry? There are two seniors at the Star Creation Realm on one side, while there are two on the other, it shouldn’t affect us standing all the way over here as spectators."

"Naïve! If you want to die, just stay here, I’m going to join those brave brothers and sisters rushing back into the mystic realm!"

Observing the people emerging from the mystic realm rushing back inside the mystic realm after realizing just how dangerous the situation outside was, the wandering cultivators and other cultivators observing the group from afar quickly realized what was happening as a majority of them rushed over to join these people in entering the mystic realm.

Some to escape the danger of being killed by the shockwaves of Star Creation Realm cultivators clashing with one another, while others just took the opportunity to enter the mystic realm. Only a small number of people remained behind to observe the battle that looked like it could erupt at any second.

Curious about the strength of someone in the Star Creation Realm when they ended up clashing with someone else of a similar level of strength instead of the outright suppression they had felt earlier when Xuan Hao had faced them on their own without anyone of a similar strength around to serve as a proper backbone.

Of course, this group didn’t believe they would be in any danger as long as they kept their distance...
