Chapter 1985  Sect Storage Realm

"Hm… From what I know, we should have recently gained a lot of new spiritual herbs and other cultivation resources thanks to the different neutral factions. But for the specific resources you are looking for, you might have to find the one in charge of managing the sect's storage. If I'm not wrong, the one currently in charge of that place should be Wei Chin."

"Wei Chin, was it? Thanks, looks like I will have to trouble him instead of you this time around."

"Haha, no worries, I'm sure he will be more than happy to lend a hand."

Finding Elder Song and asking him about the specific resources that he might need to help a potential future disciple, he was unsurprisingly delegated towards someone else, though it wasn't exactly unexpected considering that it was rather unlikely for someone like Elder Song to know about every single cultivation resource under the control of the Star Shattering Sect.

The only somewhat surprising thing about the entire situation was the fact that the person currently in charge of inventory management and storage of cultivation resources for the sect happened to be the old grand elder of the half spirit race that had been integrated into the Star Shattering Sect back when the Star Shattering Sect had just recently been established on the Shattered Star Peaks.

From what he could remember, he didn't exactly know much about what had happened to this old senior cultivator from the half spirit since he had joined the sect. Only remembering that he had been among one of the first Nascent Soul Realm Elders at the time to breakthrough to the Domain Lord Realm. Meaning that he was likely amongst the strongest elders that hadn't been recruited from outside when he had been doing everything in his power to complete the sect main quest from the system.

In a way, his status in the sect wasn't much different from that of an elder that had been part of the old Flying Sword Sect or Spring Flower Sect that had merged to form the Star Shattering Sect.

Nonetheless, for him to have been placed in charge of managing the sect's inventory and storage spoke to the trust the Elder Song had in the old senior from the half spirit race.

Taking off with this thought in mind while leaving Elder Song to continue what he had been up to before he had shown up to interrupt him, Xuan Hao soon enough found himself inside a rather secretive location that contained the entrance to a small secret realm that had been created in the past for the sole purpose of storing the vast amount of resources required for the daily operation of the sect.

Although the sect had not created a secret realm for the purpose of producing cultivation resources before the appearance of the ascension realm tower, it had still created one for storage of resources, as doing so outside a secret realm would simply take up far too much space even if everything was stored inside interspatial rings.

Not to mention, it was vastly cheaper and safer to create a small-scale secret realm for storage and simpler to utilize than shoving everything into interspatial rings, something he might have suggested to Elder Song in the past. Only to have been asked where he would find the vast quantity of spiritual metal with spatial affinity to create so many interspatial rings or if he would be the one willing to spend the next few years crafting interspatial rings for the sect, a question that had made him remember a certain never-ending quest and promptly caused him to give his full support for whatever solution Elder Song proposed.

"Greetings, Senior. Might I ask what you are looking for?"

"Hm?" A bit startled as someone called out to him the second he stepped inside the small secret realm that was filled with rows upon rows of cultivation resources all lined up neatly together, Xuan Hao had already used his divine sense to sweep through the small secret realm the second he stepped inside it. Not finding any trace of Wei Chin in the process. "I'm here looking for Elder Wei Chin. Do you perhaps know where he is?" Thus resulting in his short and to the point answer to the small figure that now stood before him, a figure far too small to be human.

After all, though he could look for the cultivation resources on his own, the more important cultivation resources were still stored in interspatial rings to preserve their quality better over longer periods of time, as they wouldn't be exchanged by elders and disciples often and might even get left alone for years to come if no one found a need for them or wanted to pay the contribution points required to buy them.

"The Grand Elder!? This…"

However, contrary to the answer he had expected, the little half spirit in front of him suddenly began hesitating upon hearing his question.

"Is something wrong?" Prompting him to ask the obvious question.

"No, it's just, the Grand Elder just recently received a spark of enlightenment while pondering the aftermath of a recent great battle that broke out within the Blue Sea Empire. Even though the great battles playing out within the Blue Sea Empire didn't affect the sect's territory, one of them happened close enough to the sect borders that a great tempest capable of even injuring someone in the Soul Ascension Realm was stirred up close to the border of the southern border of the sect.

Given that the Grand Elder Comprehended a tempest domain upon breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm, observing this tempest created by the aftershocks of that great battle sparked enlightenment and the Grand Elder is currently in secluded cultivation attempting to break through to the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm. So… He won't be available for the foreseeable future…"

"That… I see…" Listening to the explanation from the somewhat nervous half spirit in front of him, who should have figured out that he was at least an elder on the same level as his grand elder by now, Xuan Hao could not help wondering what great battle had been the cause of the great tempest that had helped Wei Chin in his breakthrough.

Given the location, his first guess was that it had been the battle that had played out between the Ancestor of the Wei Empire and the demonic cultivator comparable to the Land Creation Realm before he had shown up, but on second thought, the strength of that great tempest hadn't even been strong enough to kill someone in the Soul Ascension Realm, so it could just as well have been the result of a battle between a Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator and an equally powerful demonic cultivator.

After all, though his earlier visit and quick sweep of the Blue Sea Empire had very much made it seem like there had only been three locations of pressure for the demonic cultivators. In truth, there had been countless other battles playing out across the territory of the Blue Sea Empire, some fighting to create chaos, while others had taken advantage of the situation to target some treasures within the Blue Sea Empire they hadn't dared to touch in the past.

Altogether, the total number of cultivators at the Celestial Immortal Realm and above involved in the recent chaos across the Blue Sea Empire's territory could have easily numbered over fifty, though this didn't just include cultivators from the Northern Central Region, as a good portion undoubtedly came from another core region. Attracted by the potential chaos that had presented a great opportunity to fish in troubled waters.

Still… With Wei Chin preoccupied, it looked like he might have to look through the sect storage on his own. A task that was far from simple considering how he couldn't just use his divine sense to sweep through everything-

"Senior! Ehm… If you have any questions regarding the cultivation resources stored here, I should be able to help in place of the Grand Elder as I normally help him out with sorting the storage realm." As he was thinking about a potential solution to the problem, he had suddenly found himself facing due to the absence of Chin Wei', the little half spirit suddenly spoke up, causing him to shift his attention towards the eager little fellow.

"You… What's your name?"

"Li Chi, Senior!"

"Then, Li Chi, I would be happy to accept your assistance, though some of the cultivation resources I need to find might be on the more difficult side."

"No problem at all senior! I'm confident that I know just as much as the Grand Elder about the different spiritual herbs, metals and other treasures away in here! All you need to do is give the word and I shall find it–If it is here of course."

"Good, then, first, I need to find Three-Thousand-Year-Old Burning Spirit Ice and…" Seeing the confident expression of Li Chi, Xuan Hao nodded his head slightly before starting to list the first row of cultivation resources needed for the awakening of a special ice related divine physique possessed by one of the seven potential disciples.
