Culinary God in Wilderness
Chapter 528 - 362: How Can You Say Such Things in Front of a Guest
Chapter 528: Chapter 362: How Can You Say Such Things in Front of a Guest
"Eonni."
Jin Meiyan couldn’t listen anymore and quickly stepped in to mediate. "Stop making things difficult for Oppa. Let’s just eat. The food he worked so hard to cook is going to get cold."
"Tch. I was just thinking that if the temptation of one person isn’t enough, we’ll see if he can handle two. Why are you chickening out first? It’s not like we were going to do it for real. It was just a joke."
"That joke went a little too far. I don’t think Canada or the United States allows a man to marry two wives, and besides, I’m just here on vacation."
"The law might say that, but in reality, plenty of people have children without getting married. Lots of people maintain relationships with multiple partners..."
Lin Chen really couldn’t stand it anymore. He frowned. "Just eat. How can you say such things in front of a guest?"
"It’s okay, Oppa. I’m American, after all, so I have some understanding of the situation in North America. What Eonni said is indeed a fact."
Erica pouted, clearly annoyed that she hadn’t gotten a straight answer from Lin Chen. However, she also realized that using a guest in such an example was indeed inappropriate.
"Sorry, Meiyan. I didn’t mean to say that. It’s just that you’re so beautiful, I feel like no man could possibly resist your charm. Even I’m a little smitten, so I..."
"Hold on!" Lin Chen suddenly held up a hand. "What do you mean, you’re a little smitten? You like women, too?"
"Aigoo, Oppa, are you an idiot?"
Jin Meiyan laughed as she playfully slapped his hand away. "Girls are creatures who are naturally drawn to beauty. It’s perfectly normal to feel affection for a pretty member of the same sex. And it’s common for girls who are close to pinch each other’s cheeks or touch each other’s bodies. It’s not the same concept as the attraction between opposite sexes!"
"Even I feel the urge to kiss Erica-eonni when I see her. And her body is so well-maintained, with that unique fitness and beauty you see in Westerners. Anyone would be tempted to sneak a few more glances, right?"
Praised so lavishly by a beauty, Erica lifted her chin smugly and shot him a huge eye-roll. Then, she hooked the loose collar of her shirt and pulled it down, revealing a deep, alluring line.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let’s hurry up and eat so we can go to the room. I want to feel what an Asian beauty’s body is like, to see how it’s different from a Westerner’s. Oh my, just talking about it gets me so excited. Could I really be into women?"
Lin Chen stared, dumbfounded, at the two women who had suddenly started gobbling down their food. His brain felt like it had been punched into mush; he couldn’t comprehend what had just happened.
’Just a moment ago, they were hitting me with a life-or-death question. How did they, in the blink of an eye, make a pact to appreciate each other’s bodies?’
’Is there any logical connection between those two things at all?’
"My God, I had no idea braised pork belly could be this delicious after being stewed until it’s falling apart. It melts in your mouth! And with this sweet and savory sauce... it’s a total rice killer! You’re truly a master chef. This skill is amazing!"
"Right? Although I’ve never had authentic Great Xia cuisine in a restaurant, it’s obvious that the dishes Oppa made would suit the tastes of most people in the world. Anyone who tries them would definitely find them delicious—unless they don’t eat fatty meat!"
"That’s me! You never see fatty meat on a North American dinner table. The only use for pork belly where I’m from is making bacon, and it has to be cooked until it’s crispy. But look at me now, I still think this fatty meat is incredibly delicious."
"Eonni, hurry and try these ribs! Oh my god, they’re so sweet and sour, so appetizing! The greasy feeling from before is gone in an instant!"
"Mmm!!! You’re right! You should try this eggplant. Take a spoonful, mix it into your rice, then drizzle some sauce from the braised pork and ribs. Damn, how can rice taste this good??"
Lin Chen silently shoveled rice into his mouth, quietly watching as the two women extolled his culinary skills while ravenously demolishing the food on the table.
They both had slender figures, yet each of them ate two large bowls of rice before reluctantly putting down their chopsticks. Their once-flat stomachs were now visibly bulging.
"I’ll do the dishes," Jin Meiyan said, standing up to clear the bowls with a faint smile. "I haven’t helped with any chores since I moved in, other than wrapping some dumplings, and I’ve just been eating and drinking for free. I’ll get angry if you don’t let me do some work!"
"That would be great. I’m so stuffed I don’t want to move an inch. Thanks a bunch~"
Erica patted her own round belly without any intention of hiding it. She leaned back in her chair and waved at her casually.
Over a single meal, the two women’s relationship had somehow progressed by leaps and bounds. They had gone from barely saying a few words to each other all day to now being able to chatter nonstop for half an hour.
In any case, Lin Chen was quite impressed by this magical ability women possessed.
"Let me help you."
He didn’t stay idle either. He gathered the remaining empty plates from the table, carried them to the kitchen, wiped down the dining table with a cloth, and finally came to the sink, tearing off a few paper towels to dry the excess water from the freshly washed dishes.
Taking advantage of the moment, using the rushing sound of the water as cover, he asked in a low voice that only the two of them could hear.
"What’s with you two? How did you suddenly get so close?"
"You wouldn’t understand," Jin Meiyan said, the corners of her lips turning up in a triumphant smile as she shot him a flirtatious eye-roll. "After that brief conversation just now, I get the feeling that Erica-eonni isn’t a scheming person. That’s very different from us Asians."
"Analyzing her micro-expressions, every word she said was basically heartfelt, with no signs of lying or guilt. This means that when she asked you if you’d be with both of us as partners, it was also out of simple curiosity. She probably just doesn’t understand why she can’t move you."
"Why are you bringing that up again..."
He rubbed his nose awkwardly, momentarily at a loss for how to respond to such a topic.
Jin Meiyan wrinkled her small nose and let out an almost inaudible huff.
"Oppa, you might be able to fool Eonni, but you can’t fool me. Judging from your reaction just now and even now, if you were really given such an opportunity, you really would want to have both of us, wouldn’t you?"
"So what you said back then was true. All men under the sun are the same, and you’re no exception. Hmph!"
"At least I didn’t lie to you, right?"
Lin Chen didn’t know how to explain, so he simply decided to admit it. After all, it was the kind of thing that no man could honestly say he hadn’t thought about.
But thinking about something and actually doing it were two different things. Thinking wasn’t a crime. Many thoughts are controlled by instinct, but only actual actions are the result of his own conscious deliberation.
"That’s true. Being able to admit it so openly already makes you better than ninety-nine percent of men. So, what do you want to do, Oppa?"
"I don’t know," he said, shaking his head. He suddenly changed the subject. "Do you like perfume?"
Jin Meiyan was taken aback, then nodded instinctively. "Hmm? Yes, I do."
"Then do you like pretty clothes?"
"I like them too."
"What about jewelry? And nice bags?"
"I like them all. Is there any girl who doesn’t like those things?"
As soon as the words left her mouth, she seemed to understand something and gave Lin Chen a deep look.
"But Oppa, objects don’t have minds of their own."
With that said, all the dishes in the sink had been washed clean.
Without giving Lin Chen another chance to speak, she turned off the faucet, tore off a couple of paper towels to dry her hands, and pulled Erica with her as she ran into her room.
Not long after they entered the room, the sounds of girlish giggles and laughter, interspersed with occasional cries of surprise, drifted out.
Just listening to these sounds, his mind couldn’t help but conjure up some strange images.
But the words Jin Meiyan had left him with still seemed to echo in his ears. He repeated them to himself a few times, sighed, and actively dispelled the lustful images from his mind. He picked up his laptop again, opened it, and prepared to browse through the comments from his fans and followers.
Before, he had simply cleared the little red notification dots without reading the content. After all, with tens of thousands of comments and private messages, it wasn’t something he could read in a short time. Even skimming a few hundred would be very time-consuming.
Unexpectedly, he found that several official accounts from domestic brands had actually sent him private messages, wanting to collaborate with him by providing some items.
The request was simple: their products and prominent logos needed to appear during his shoots or in places with high foot traffic.
Lin Chen wasn’t actually opposed to business collaborations. It would be foolish not to make money when he could. As long as these big companies didn’t interfere with his plans and decisions, he wouldn’t mind a few more simple sponsorship deals.
After having some preliminary chats with the official accounts of these big companies, he walked over to the sofa and picked up where Erica had left off with the video editing.
As the person who was there, he didn’t need to rewatch the entire recording from the beginning. He could just fast-forward to the approximate time stamp and then slow down to select the parts he wanted to keep.
On the computer screen, Jin Meiyan’s long, slender, and pale figure glided through the sea with the grace of a mermaid. When the flashlight beam occasionally caught her, she shone like a piece of flawless jade.
To be honest, when he had seen it in person, the visual impact was decent but not overwhelming. Now, however, watching it through a screen, he felt a strange impulse and a sense of envy.
’How could God have been so biased during creation, giving someone a devil’s body, an angel’s face, and a talent for dancing all at once?’
If her luck hadn’t been a little bit off, she might have already debuted as an idol.
And then there was Erica. Although her childhood was tragic, the outcome was that she was now a winner in life—she had money, looks, and a great body.
To have two such perfect beauties interested in him at the same time... even now, he still found this reality somewhat unbelievable.
The deadline he had agreed upon with Erica was just a little over a week away.
’What on earth should I do?’
