Chapter 743: The Colossus and the Godweaver's Grudges

  • Next Chapter

The black mist in the sky continued to churn.

Without an opponent to attack, the Titan still vented his boundless fury wildly, stirring the entire sky into a storm of wind and clouds, cracking the earth open.

Even thousands of kilometers away, the tremors here could be clearly felt.

What terrifying power was that!

Lynn and the others had already evacuated the Titan Giant God's rage-filled domain at the first opportunity, rushing all the way back to successfully reunite with the Godweaver Head outside the Sight line.

"A bit of a pity, Lynn. We still let that mechanical dragon escape."

The Godweaver's massive head held an iron spike, and malice writhed stubbornly in its eyes.

Lynn adjusted his monocle, leaped down from Little One's head, and said with a faint smile: "No worries. He paid a heavy enough price for it too. Wanting to recover in a short time won't be that simple for him. But really, I have to thank you, Auntie, for your help. Otherwise, I can't say how this war would have ended."

Sir Aiwen stared warily at the massive head before him. Though he had heard of them, since falling into this hell, this was actually his first time meeting these two powerful Titan fallen ones.

The former divine race, the Titan God Clan.

For beings like them, who rose from technological civilization, these ancient gods had always been their greatest rivals.

But now, they had oddly gathered under the same banner, united through a single person.

Colossus's Brain also squinted, staring at the Godweaver Head with flickering eyes. No one knew what she was thinking.

Seeing this, Lynn smiled and turned his head, saying: "Oh, right! Since everyone's here, let me make some introductions. This is my auntie, the former Titan Godweaver!"

"And this is Sir Aiwen, the former Cyber Ascender. This unclothed girl is one of the Colossus's twin consciousnesses, the former Flesh Ascendant. You were all gods of the Upper World once—have you ever crossed paths?"

Lynn originally sensed the delicate atmosphere here and wanted to lighten the mood.

But who would have guessed that the silver-haired girl would speak first, staring at the Titan Godweaver and saying: "Crossed paths? More than that. Many times."

Lynn's eyes went wide.

Before he could even say anything, the Godweaver Head's gaze had already landed on Colossus's Brain. Its eyes seemed to reminisce, then slowly flashed with venom.

"Colossus?"

"Oh, I remember now."

"Aren't you that shameless one who once wanted to challenge our Titan divine throne, charged into our Titan divine domain, and got knocked to the borderlands by my old man? What? Had a sex change?"

Lynn: "(꒪Д꒪)!"

The silver-haired girl's gaze turned even more dangerous. She looked her up and down as her blood aura rumbled and surged.

"I remember you. You're the little runt who sneaked a curse on me from the crowd during my first battle with It. I never thought that little shaman girl back then would grow up this much. What? Now you're just a head left—did you die horribly?"

Lynn: "(((;꒪ꈊ꒪;)))!"

Though it wasn't actually happening, Lynn could still feel as if threads of electricity were crackling and exploding between the two of them.

Clearly.

Without a doubt.

Back in the Upper World era, they must have had some serious grudges.

And from what they were saying, the former Colossus had actually challenged Big Brother Titan before—and lost.

The malice in the Godweaver Head's eyes flickered as it sneered: "Don't try to pull rank here. But if we really count back to the origin of your civilization before ascension, you've certainly existed longer than we have. We were born gods, though. The end you've spent your whole lives chasing is nothing but our starting point. Don't you find that ironic?"

The coldness in Colossus's Brain's eyes deepened. Her chains clattered as they danced through her blood aura, and her long silver hair whipped wildly in the wind.

"Fine then. Let me have another good taste of you so-called natural-born gods' power, right here. What do you say?"

The Godweaver Head's malice intensified: "You think I'm afraid of you?"

In an instant, the two sides were at each other's throats.

Seeing that they were really about to come to blows, Lynn instantly appeared between them, hands raised like a peacemaker ヽ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ, saying: "Ahahaha! You two are always joking! Enemies become friends after a fight, they say! But now that we're all evil ghosts in hell, what meaning do those old grudges have anymore? In my opinion, you should just bury the hatchet! Do me a favor, both of you, and if you still want to fight, you can schedule it for later after you get out of hell! For now, I think harmony is the best policy. What do you say?"

The Godweaver and Colossus's Brain both squinted, glaring at each other.

But in the end, they each backed down.

They didn't actually start a full-blown fight right there.

Lynn wiped a cold sweat from his brow, realizing that this team was not going to be easy to manage. Especially now that more Root-level beings were gathering around him—every single one of them gods who had lived for ten thousand years or more. Who hadn't had some conflict with someone else in the past?

Then Lynn turned his gaze to Sir Aiwen beside him, sidled over, and asked in a low voice: "Big Brother Aiwen, you never had any irreconcilable conflicts with the Titan clan before, right?"

Sir Aiwen smiled gently, understanding what he meant. His eyes curved like crescent moons as he shook his head elegantly: "Don't worry. Though I'm counted among the three great technological civilizations, we were never as warlike as the Colossus or as stubborn as the Intelligence Machine. We handled our relationships with all races and gods quite well. Back in the Upper World era, our Cyber civilization even paid a visit to the Titan God Clan."

Lynn nodded firmly. He could always trust Big Brother Aiwen. But then he paused and asked suspiciously: "What kind of 'visit' was it, exactly?"

Sir Aiwen thought about it for a moment, then said with some difficulty: "We subdued a few of the weaker Titans and excavated a great deal of the God Clan's history and customs from their memories. With that knowledge reserve, dealing with them afterward became very easy..."

Lynn: "?!!!"

He reached out.

Immediately cutting off Sir Aiwen's recollection.

(;¬_¬)

It was best not to dig any deeper into that. As long as everyone could coexist peacefully, that was fine. If he kept digging, an internal civil war was absolutely inevitable!

And if it really came to a fight, which side would he take? It was all his own flesh and blood!

Lynn was about to say something else to lighten the mood when, at that moment, his little finger suddenly twitched at a specific rhythm. A transparent thread floated faintly. Lynn's heart leaped.

"Miss Puppet?"

Ever since he taught Miss Puppet the brilliant technique of Morse code, it had become an important means of remote communication between them.

He focused on the thread's movements.

The next moment, Lynn looked up sharply, adjusted his monocle, and said calmly: "Everyone, let's save any conversation for later. I have some things to deal with, so I'll need you all to follow me on one more trip!"

Everyone's gaze immediately returned to him.

Lynn turned to look in the direction of the Cursed City ruins, his voice deep: "Miaomiao's brother. We found him."
